Great series of books - my ten year old son loves reading about Beck's adventures, they've really kept his imaginations and taught him about survival techniques. He's even asked for a fire steel for Christmas!!

My 9 year old absolutely loves these books and is reading them for a second time. Not just adventure books but I formative and educational as well.

My twin 10 year olds have read and read these right through the entire series. 10/10 is their verdict.

Great series, I originally bought the first one for my Older Niece's kids, but read it first to make sure it was OK for young readers. Ended up reading the entire series myself and then giving them to her kids. This boxed set makes the second one I've bought for my younger Niece's kids. A good story, clean and teaches good qualities for young people. A little note to American readers, since these were written in England, your kids may need to be told that when characters say "torch" they mean flashlight and a few other slang terms that Americans don't use.
