NCAA Hover Helmet - Collectible Levitating Football Helmet with Electromagnetic Stand

Can't believe how cool this turned out to be! This is a must-have - it's seriously the perfect gift for college football fans... (Go Cougs!) It looked like an awesome idea from the product page, but I was worried about how it would actually turn out - so I ordered one to see... and I was blown away. It's AWESOME, and a must-have for fans. For starters, it's legit - the helmet is an authentic (be it miniature) replica of a real helmet; it's got all the pads a full-size helmet has, a metal facemask, etc., and it's heavy/sturdy; it feels like the real thing. Really caught me off guard with the quality there - and I expected it to be smaller than it actually is, so I was pleasantly surprised (it's the perfect size for a desk or your shrine; does not look/feel cheap). The levitation of the helmet is for real, thanks to a crafty electromagnet (just plug it in); and it's a piece of cake to set up. Again, way better than I expected. The LED lights add the perfect touch. My co-workers that are Cougar fans are jealous, those that root for rival schools are offended (another big plus in my book), and all of us have had fun trying to get the perfect amount of spin on the helmet as it levitates (because naturally, everyone wants to touch it and inspect it so we have to get it rotating again). Only "con" I can think of is how much time me/my co-workers have spent playing with it - but honestly that's more fun than anything. As soon as I had set it up and saw how cool it is, I immediately got my brother to order one, and picked up a couple more as gifts. I don't often do reviews, but I'm that impressed. I highly recommend this to real college football fans, young and old alike.

So my wife ordered a few of these for me and some other friends of mine that went to Maryland with me. First, right out of the box the helmet looks great and really is the perfect size for a desktop. Second, I love that they have the University of Maryland in the style helmet I grew up watching and went to school seeing. The one she gave me did have some issues maintaining the helmet hovering. As is stated in some of the other reviews, the helmet would just stick to the top of base. One call to the company though and they squared everything away. There was not a bit of hassle or questioning of my problem. The gentleman (Joe) on the phone set up for one to be shipped out to me that afternoon. So in the mean time, I have placed a small fishing lure in the helmet to help keep it floating. It is a little tilted but for the interim, I am OK with it. This really is a cool product and as a Maryland fanatic, I don't think there is anything more unique right now or as cool as this. If the new one works well, I may get another for my son's bedroom as a night light. I will update once I get my new one but from the way Joe talked, it seemed like a simple issue with the base that he can easily correct with a new one.

The Hover Helmet looks awesome! I received the Penn State version for my Birthday and I love it! I was happy to see that when the power was turned off the helmet simply attached to the top magnet, instead of falling to the ground. I was a little worried about that in case of a power outage. It is a great conversation piece and the light really accents the helmet. I am considering getting a case as well. Really nice gift for a college football fan.

Very cool gift for our biggest Ute fan in the family. Fun to try to figure out how it works. Great on an office desk. Loved this!

This is one of the coolest pieces of sports memorabilia I own! If the house catches fire, I’m grabbing this first, then my wife and children!😏 in all seriousness, it is very cool. The mini helmet construction is solid, and the hovering and spinning effect is really kinda magical! It’s a wee bit tricky to get the helmet into the right hovering position, but not a big deal at all. Finally, it lights up and casts a glow of the spinning helmet on the ceiling!

Very nice product with one major flaw. Overall, well made and looks good, but in order to get the helmet to "float", it needs to be plugged in. When plugged in, the lights go on and there is NO SWITCH TO TURN THEM OFF. So, I wanted to use this in a bedroom but the light is too. bright for sleeping. Why not a switch for the light? So easy to design and implement. Shame.

This is the coolest item ,,,it's almost mesmerizing to watch rotate ,Bought it for the wife for Christmas and she has it on her desk at work.The guys and women went crazy over it . They are getting ready to bring out NFL and MLB ,My friend's ( as misguided as they are ) cant wait for the Green Bay Packers one's ;) Worth the price and the case to put it in can be bought separate on Amazon or wait till you get your hover helmet and they put in a coupon to buy direct from the manufacturer,it's $10.00 cheaper and free shipping

This is so much better than what I expected! It arrived a few days after xmas. And it's still rotating as we speak. I MAY have to get a cover soon because I know people will want to touch it. Perfect for my media room. It's the perfect gift for a sports fan. I love it.
