The light was super easy to set up in the tapo app with the reset of my device connecting to the Wi-Fi was straight forward. Colors are perfect. The only thing is I would increase the brightness for the light to be better.

It works

Been using almost a year now and really like how you can change the light bulbs color and brightness. I use the app that works with it to control it as well as my Echo Pop. It has worked fine except that there was one time the bulb stopped responding with Alexa. I had to reconnect the bulb to the Echo Pop and then it worked again. Other than that, no issues and it is fun to see all the colors it can make. My favorite setting at night is to have the bulb white at about 50% brightness.

I own about about 10 of these bulbs. They have quickly replaced my Govee brand bulbs. The Tapo and Tp link apps are not the best. I ran into an issue where the app needed two way authentication. I was not receiving the text messages and I would request a password by email. By the time I got the email password the time limit had already expired. Had to contact the Developers for the app and get a call from some other country to help walk me through solving it. I would not use the two-way Authenticator since this is just home automation and not your bank account. You might run into the same issue I did

I love this light bulb. I used to have to reach up really far on my night table to touch the button for my lamp. I would be so ready to go to bed right off the land of Z's and then have to do calisthenics to get up to the knob to shut my light off. Now I just quietly whisper Alexa turn the bedroom light off. I also love that I can say Alexa turn the bedroom light blue, or green, or pink. I can dim the light to 20% so that it's very soothing and calming or I can have it white light and bright. I also love when I'm leaving one area of the house I can tell Alexa to turn on another area of the house. Oh wait you forgot to shut off that light in the downstairs living room? That's okay you don't need to go back Alexa will shut it off for you. I did download the app to set up the light bulb and then once Alexa clicked in I deleted the app.
