Used about a dozen times and never slipped once on the ice or snow - the metal grips have not distorted or buckled at all and I check them before venturing out. Walking is a cinch and it actually feels like you’re walking on a no snow day with clear pavements. Gives you great confidence when out walking - one do the best purchases I’ve made. Easy to fit and no need to over tighten then they fit fine without doing that and have never shifted or moved around under the boot soles. If you over tighten them I guess you’ll eventually break the eyelets the Velcro straps go through so look after them by only using moderate force - as said there is no reason to tighten these too much. Tip - pull up the rear tab on the back of the heel before tightening the Velcro strap that goes across the tongue of your shoe. If you have dark coloured boots the black straps become pretty much invisible and nobody can tell you’ve got them on. They also fitted perfectly to my training shoes so boots and trainers are suitable to use with it. The Velcro is the highest quality Velcro I’ve seen - it’s incredibly sticky!! There is no way that’s coming off by accident. Keep the Velcro clean and it will last. One thing they could have done - I feel that they are missing 2 additional metal cleats at the back of the sole area under the back of the heel. Because of this they feel a big strange under foot.

Good quality as these are steel spikes, not plastic, easy to fit and proved effective on ice. The sizing, however, is too small for the UK size stated, so it exposes part of the heel as the elastic contracts and keeps needing to be adjusted. Walking is not very comfortable because of this.

I bought this for a winter photography trip to Tromsø and found them to be really useful. They fit perfectly over snow boots and the silicone expands while getting them on as well. So it's easy to get these on and off. These are a must have if you plan on long walks in snow or on ice. They provide excellent grip and traction on ice. Most stores though will not allow you to walk inside with these on while you're out and about shopping!

Sturdy cleats that fit to size. I like the velcro cross strap to keep the cleats firm on my walking boots. Will be used in the snow in a few weeks

I need to return as although the toe end of the cleats fitted well the heel end was too wide to fit my walking boots therefore didn’t fit well, too loose so didn’t work and therefore a trip hazard.

These are great - ordered after walking on icy pavements and feeling really vulnerable. These came whilst the ice was still compacted and it transformed things. I felt I could walk with complete confidence. Well worth £15; don't need a broken hip! Only gave 4 stars because it's too early to tell if they're durable but they certainly seem fine.

Very sturdy. Will fit even large men’s shoes. I tried some in USA and they work. I felt confident immediately and bought these as soon as I came back. The advantage is they have cleats on heel AND sole. Delighted with them. Happy to recommend them.

Climbed scafell pike ( highest mountain of England) using these. The last 1/4 or so I had to put these on bc of the ice & snow. It really increases your grip tremendously. They will however need readjustment a couple times. This is expected & was fast & easy to do. I was impressed. The spike & build quality was great. The design & build material was better then some similar looking ones out there. A great experience. Made it so more safe & less stressfull in a good way. They take also little backpack space. I highly recommend them
