RB 40V 9" Mini Cordless Lawn Mower with Battery & Charger for Small Yards

Don't be deceived by the small size, this mower can do big things! I bought this because I have a small yard with a lot of challenging landscaping obstacles (previous owner threw river rock pebbles all over the yard without putting anything underneath them and then called it a day.) It's perfect for what I need. Yes, there are times that I have to go back and forth a few times to cut down stubborn weed stalks, but it really is akin to vacuuming. It's super lightweight and compact, and very easy to start. It's about as loud as a weed whacker, so quieter than your usual lawn mower. It's plastic, but it seems pretty durable. I have the blades set high enough that the river rocks aren't a problem, and when I accidentally nicked a root it stopped, but started up right away with no issues after I moved to a different section of the yard. The battery seems to hold its charge pretty well, and the blades seem good for regular grass. I do have a lot of tough, fibrous weeds so the blades might need sharpening sooner than later. I like that it has three levels of cutting, the lowest level was like a buzz cut for the yard, much too short for what I wanted, but the 3rd height is perfect. I bought it on sale but honestly the regular price seems to be a good value. I'll update my review if anything changes over the summer, but I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Ok I have mowed my yard at the RV Resort about 4-5 times now . I’ll give some pros and cons to this little mower. Let’s start with the pros. It’s very lightweight from when it comes in the box and when you have to set it up, it’s very easy. It’s very easy to understand set up and running. It only took a few minutes. I love that. I don’t have to worry about gas. I don’t have to worry about oil. It’s not as noisy as a regular mower and it gets the job done. I live in an RV resort in the summertime and my yard is fenced in so I have a very small area and a regular mower was just too big. This is a 9 inch mower so it’s small enough to go under like a swinging couch furniture benches and it’s great for small places like getting under your slides and going around the things that you have in your small yard. OK now let’s talk about the Cons. You have to push in a blue button and hit the trigger when you go to start it so when you run your little mower, you actually push it back-and-forth almost like a vacuum is the way it mows the best do it a little bit slower than you would a vacuum if you go too fast, it cuts uneven if you are cutting uneven grass, then slow your pace, but what I don’t like about it is that if you do hit bumpy ground like I do have here at the Resort. It shuts off, but then I just hold down the trigger and it starts right back up again. I wish it had a button where you could push it in and lock it. I’m gonna give this little guy a five star because it’s lightweight it cuts great it’s great for small spaces and that’s why I bought it in the first place it’s not that noisy and I love the fact that it’s battery operated and I don’t have to mess with gas and oil. And the battery life I can go all the way around my fence. I can do my whole yard inside the fence and I can even work on my front yard on one battery. But one of the cons is the wheel base is so wide the way they did the axle you cannot get right up next to a fence or an object for trimming so you end up having to trim anyway that’s the one downfall is it does not go right up against a fence. I have a cement patio I have to trim around cause it just doesn’t go right next to it. I forgot to mention that the way it kind of pivots and moves. It’s not just back-and-forth it kind of pivots and moves at an angle so that’s kinda nice.

I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting much from such a small, lightweight mower—but WOW, was I surprised! This little thing is incredibly easy to use and actually works really well. It’s lightweight enough that moving it around the yard is a breeze, and there’s no wrestling with a big, heavy mower. It’s perfect for a small yard and makes quick work of the grass. The battery lasts well for what I need, and not having to mess with gas, oil, or cords is a huge bonus. Honestly, I bought this thinking it would be a “good enough” little mower, and it has far exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, easy to store, and gets the job done. Definitely a surprisingly great purchase! 🌿🙌

I did things a little out of order when purchasing my new home. I purchased 5 months before moving, giving me time to do some updates before moving in. I knew I wanted a fenced yard for my dog, so I insisted my handyman make that a priority so it would be done when we arrived. Great! Very happy. But my yard was nothing but dirt and moss, not ideal. I had to cut down some trees to let in some sun to allow for grass. Oops...the fence made the tree removal a bit more challenging, but okay. Decided to plant sod because it required me to keep my dog off it for less time. I asked the landscapers to add a simple walkway of pea gravel and pavers between the gate and the deck. Therein came the BIG challenge. How was I going to MOW my new back yard when the ONLY gate to said yard would require the mower to roll over a walkway of mostly pea gravel?? This was a total mess waiting to happen! My regular push mower was too heavy to CARRY over the gravel. Then, through sheer luck, I found THIS option. Have only used it once and can't say how durable it will be. The battery lasted for the entire job. It's a little slow-going given the size and having to mow in back-and-forth motions. The mower is easy to use - like vacuuming. I can store it in my garage and easily carry it into the fenced yard. It's small, light and easy to move around. Unlike my regular Ego mower, I can't remove the battery and hose off the undercarriage. This mini=mower comes with a tool to SCOOP out grass clippings. Not ideal. But worth it for the other conveniences. Time will tell if it holds up. After just one use, I'm satisfied with the purchase so far. Photo illustrates my challenging gate entry to the fenced yard.

Was able to put this together in about 5-minutes with no instructions. The battery already had a charge so I immediately took it out for a test run. After a minute or two it became apparent that it was cutting great and that I had the setting too low (level 1) but it worked really well, quickly. With that, I kept going in my small yard and then switched to level 3 before heading to the curbside/sidewalk area where it again worked great. Not having a bag to catch grass wasn't an issue since I have a lawn/leaf rake which only gave me about 2 handfuls of cuttings at the end. I missed one spot raking so maybe I'd have had 3 handfuls total. The majority of grass clippings end up under the housing above the blade, which explains the the little scoop included that attaches to the handle. Once finished cutting I had it upside down and scoop-cleaned into the compost bin-no water needed (nor should any be used) in about 5 minutes or less. Simple. It was really quiet compared to a traditional gas-powered mower and probably on par with an electric mower and possibly more quiet than some others. What I liked most is I could move it really easily as it's very lightweight. It stores really well in my small shed. Overall, this is a great unit meant for small spaces that's easy to put together and use. I hope it lasts a long while. In my picture, you can see a bit of a U-Shape in my small lawn (divided with a thin fence) and that's something I couldn't do with my push-reel mower as it was a bit too big and also because the ground was bumpy due to dogs having been in the yard previously. I'd have to constantly lift it and set it down when I hit a corner, etc. No more. I'll add more updates later but for now, I'm really please.

This mower does the job and makes mowing so much easier for a smaller woman like me! It’s lightweight but very sturdy, easy to handle, and actually makes yard work more enjoyable. The battery lasts long enough for our front, side, and backyard, and it’s compact and easy to store in the garage. My husband was skeptical since he didn’t know the brand, but honestly, we both love it! Don’t think twice. it’s even better than we expected!

This serves its purpose if you have a very, very small area. It will mow down some pretty tall grass and weeds and it is vey easy to put together and use. Very light. No complaints there. However, it does not get very close to fence lines. You are left with a pretty wide strip that you have to go back and weed wack. Was hoping for a closer cut. Also, battery life is not very adequate. Less than 30 min. after a 4 hr charge. I will be returning…need something a little bit bigger, longer lasting and a closer cut.

I personally love it. For trims it’s perfect. It does do tall grass with just 2 to 3 passes. It’s like using a small vacuum. It’s lite weight and does not make me tired like my normal mower. The battery for its size is pretty good. Depending on how tall the grass is, It runs for about 30 to 45 mins. The cons are charge times and height is pretty low. Height has 3 settings. I set it at the highest height so it doesn’t dig into the lawn. It’s Not meant for big yards but I have used it to cut a quarter acre just to see how long it would take. (4 chargers and around 2-3 hours.) Overall, I still think it’s worth it for me for quick runs without breaking out the bigger mower.

Needed a mower for small lawn area along medium strip and didn't want to outlay hundreds for a full-size mower that I had nowhere to store. Perfect to tackle this small job. Light weight, easy to move and packs up easily (handle folds for storage). Impressed with how well it worked. Used for around 15mins, battery still going. Was easy to put together straight out of the box and was working within 15mins. Very happy.

Need some assembly by myself for the handle. The overall weight is light, I can easily move it or lift it myself. I have a lawn about 500 sf. After I finished the lawn, the battery still shows full battery. It seems last for a while. The grass collect box is a little small, I need to empty it 3 or 4 times during the process. But will recommend this.

I would like to thank LAN for the outstanding customer service. I experienced an issue with my cordless mower shortly after purchase. The battery would not charge properly, and the tool became unusable. Throughout the entire process, LAN was extremely courteous, patient, professional, and responsive. First, a replacement charger was sent for troubleshooting. When it became clear that the battery itself was the problem, a replacement battery was arranged without any arguments or unnecessary delays. Every message was answered politely and with genuine willingness to help. Unfortunately, this level of customer service has become quite rare these days. LAN handled the situation with professionalism, honesty, and respect from beginning to end. Thank you again for your assistance and dedication to customer satisfaction. It was truly appreciated.

This is a great mower if you have a smaller yard. If you have a bigger back yard you will have to charge before you mow the front. It is advertised and 15” but the cut is actually only13” nice and small for storage but I have not figured out how to fold the handle while everything is still screwed together. This works great for what I need right now.
