I have been a long time cream loving girl because I didn’t want crunchy curls, but this mousse has the perfect soft lightweight finish and holds my curls perfectly. I love the way OUAI products smell. So clean. My new favorite hair product.

It smells nice and controls frizz.

UPDATED REVIEW: I recently cut my hair significantly- I had hair past my waist before, but now sits just below my collarbone. I changed the way I used this product and I have seen much better results, but I do think that my hair length plays a large role - if you have extra long hair, this product likely won't yield the results you're looking for. For medium-to medium/long hair, it may work as it did for me. Additionally, the instructions on my bottle said to add to towel-dry hair; this method did not work for me. Instead, I added the product to my hair after squeezing out excess water by hand, but before I put it up in my "towel turban". I added the product, brushed it through, then put it in the towel for a bit, and later let it air dry. This led to my waves coming out much more noticeably, and much less frizz. If the scent lasted I'd give it 5 stars, but with the tweaks, it's definitely more of a 4-star product than 2; consider your hair length and application if you don't see desired results. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have natural waves in my hair but to be frank I feel like this actually made my hair less wavy than usual; it certainly didn't enhance anything. I applied to towel dried hair and scrunched as indicated on the bottle and have not been impressed with the results. I tried a few times, varying the amount of product used, but the result is always slightly sticky/crispy hair, frizz, and depressed looking waves. While it does smell good, the scent does not last. It probably works as mousse with lightweight hold but this is not what I was looking for, and certainly not worth the price tag.

Provides just enough hold and shape! Low fragrance level, which I really appreciate.

I enjoy this company’s products but this just left my hair crunchy and frizzy. It didn’t work for my fine wavy hair. Sad but still love their other products!!

I was looking for something to help my long wavy hair look more presentable post shower and combing. It tends to frizz and puff in this southern US humidity. I have A LOT of fine wavy hair. It is thick in density, not texture. I don’t blow dry, I plan my hair washing days in advance as it takes almost a full 24 hrs to dry and then if I comb my wet or dry hair, my natural pretty waves turn into frizz and puff. I wanted this product to help my hair maintain it’s pretty shape that it gets post shower, pre combing. This did NOT work for me. I applied exactly as directed, with towel dry hair and after combing. It was not dripping wet at all. I applied several pumps throughout my hair, 10 in all and did some mild scrunching (I’m an 80s baby and an early 2000s teen - I know how to scrunch and crunch). It had shape and looked good for about 5 minutes immediately after scrunching then just got worse and worse. My hair fully dried and still the length and weight made it fall flat. Mousse just isn’t a styling product that works well on thick hair and this was no different. Pros: Pleasant scent No crunchy texture Looked natural in hair Easy to wash out Cons: Took a lot of product to use in longer/ thicker hair Never added volume or depth to my waves Fell flat and got worse outside in humidity Did NOT help with frizz at all Expensive, even when bought on Prime Day TLDR - save your money and try a different product if you have thick hair

This is my favorite product for my hair because it is so weightless- I use it after every wash. Sometimes product that is meant to emphasize curls/waves is way too heavy and crunchy for my fine hair. I just have some wave in my hair, and it is not coarse or thick, so this lightweight mousse is perfect for me - especially since I never dry my hair after washing it. The title is not kidding about it being "Air Dry" foam. Never crunchy, helps bring out the little waves in my hair very effectively, and my hair never feels weighed down with product.

I love this product. Put it in your hair after you’ve towel dried it, scrunched it up and you get great curls! I’ve been using this for about three or four years now.

I have thinning, wavy hair that frizzes when blow dried. This product is easy to dispense despite hand arthritis and produces natural-looking, non-crispy, scrunch-curls that hold their shape until slept on. Product smells lovely. Would treat myself to this again.

I use this in my “wavy hair” routine as someone with that ever so slight natural wave and it works great. Holds the wave without making a big hard cast on the hair.

This product gives me loose beach waves. Smells lovely. No stickyness or hard crunchy waves. Hair feels just soft after its dried from application. Can be used on damp or dry hair. Doesnt leave hair flat or heavy. I have already brought my second bottle way before finishing the first. Highly recommend fir fine hair like mine.

Omg PLEASE tone it down with the scent!! This product gives me the best results I’ve seen for my wavy curls, so soft, defined, and beautiful. But the scent is outrageously strong - I can’t use this product if it gives me a headache all day. I’ll try leaving the cap open to see if I can get it to dissipate but if not the heavy handed use of scent has made this product unusable for me even though I love the results (please seriously consider changing the formula or making an unscented version). I was genuinely embarrassed in my building elevator worried someone would call me out. A woman even started sniffling within 30 seconds of standing next to me. Equivalent to dousing myself in perfume, not cool.
