Amazon Kindle Scribe Folio Cover with Magnetic Attach, Sleek Protective Case - Premium Leather

I want to counter the negative reviews about this beautiful leather case, though I will update it over time because of some of the reviews.It matches my metallic jade Scribe so well, I love how it compares to the darker shade of this emerald colored case. The leather feels really nice. While it is easily scratched, it also can be buffed out. I’m a super purchaser of fine leather goods so it might be because of that where I’m not bothered by the obvious way this leather is going to develop a patina over time which is why Amazon gives you a disclaimer box before you buy this case in either color. You can use a soft cloth that is ever so slightly damp (I mean like a fine mist) and buff the surface. Once it really wears in, I’ll use the Cadillac leather conditioner I use on my soft leather purses. I do wish it was cheaper but after having a Kindle for 15 years, I’ve usually always really enjoyed the quality of the official Amazon cases. I do like to have a big variety, so I like Finite and brands like that too but I like the texture and colors of the products Amazon uses. I’m super excited to see how this leather case ages!

Expensive but nicely crafted and so far seems durable

Very happy with the scribe. Honestly I use it as my notebook for work and it’s so easy to use and very light. The ability to convert to text and email as a note or PDF is a great feature. I do use it for reading book occasionally and it’s just great for that too.

Only wish it had opened like a book rather than like a steno pad. High quality leather. Pen slot.

This cover is a perfect match for my new kindle scribe. It holds my pen and enables me to position the tablet in various ways for easier reading and writing. It looks great and protects the screen from harm while traveling.

If you drop your scribe there is 0% chance this case is going to stay on your scribe. I purchased the amazon kindle scribe brush print leather folio cover in September and it shows no sign of wear. However this New Amazon Kindle scribe Folio Cover- Premium Leather has a suede type finish and I was able to scratch this cover with my nail just taking it out of the box. 0/5 stars, would not recommend.

I received a kindle scribe for Christmas and bought this premium leather case. I waited about 4 weeks to write this review as I wanted to assess carefully as there are so many negative reviewers. I can say, I love this folio. The leather is great, it gets a few scratches but the few scratches gives it a rustic look that I like. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend. The magnet holds the kindle in place very well. I tried taking a picture with my phone but the picture made the case look way more scratchy ( must be the light) than it is

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the most expensive All New Kindle Scribe bundle, which included the new premium leather folio ($99.99). Unfortunately, both the New Kindle Scribe and the folio fell far short of expectations. It is not a MAY. It is definitely a WILL. As you can see with the first photo upon opening the box of the folio, there were already three pretty prominent scratches welcoming me. The person who packaged it couldn’t even avoid scratching it because it is impossible not to.After using the folio for a couple of hours (I said after a day of use in my video, but it’s actually after a couple of hours), I noticed there were numerous scratches that will not go away (see my photos). Who wants to pay $100 for a folio so worn out after a few hours?!As for the claim of being made from “supple premium leather,” I honestly don’t see it. The folio consists of a thin piece of leather over hard plastic, and the so-called “supple” surface has only the faintest suede-like or a slight velvety texture. It scratches, scuffs, and stains incredibly easily.Additionally, the leather dye is not colorfast, as another reviewer pointed out. I tested this myself by gently wiping the surface with a damp paper towel and a damp cotton cloth. The green color bled onto both. While this did reduce some of the light scratches, new ones inevitably form with use.To be fair, there are two things I like about the folio1. It is sleek and lightweight.2. The magnetic hold is strong, keeping the Kindle Scribe secure.However, at $100, these positives don’t outweigh the negatives. The leather feels so thin and fragile that it’s difficult to justify the cost—especially when no one would even know it’s leather unless they smelled it!In contrast, I just received a used black leather folio made for the previous Kindle Scribe for $27. It arrived in like-new condition (looks brand new to me) and doesn’t scratch at all as the so-called “premium” folio. Now, that’s a great deal!Ultimately, I gave the premium leather folio 2 stars. If you’re considering this product, save your money. It’s not worth it.
