Tramontina Utsava 1.8-Quart Tri-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Kadai with Lid

This is a small ...only 8" from inside rim side to side...and 3 1/2" deep. But it is exactly what I wanted. Exceptionally heavy stainless....and perfect to deep fry shrimp or fish for 1 to 2 people. Will be great for taking a veg side dish to a pot luck because it is GORGEOUS! Will use it to do a stir fry for me, or a small Indian curry , or soup. I have a beautiful hammered wok, but now as an empty nester it is just too big. This is going to get a lot of use. Highly recommend if you are cooking for 1-2.

This is a great pan! I love Indian food and have been looking for a kadai since I've been experimenting with some Indian recipes. I've always liked using stainless steel cookware since it's non-reactive and cleans up well. I made 2 Indian dishes in this pan and was very pleased with how everything turned out. The heat distribution was great. The handles became a little warm, but I always use oven mitts anyway, so it doesn't matter. I debated about which size to buy since it's only my husband and I, but decided on the 4L since it will allow me to make larger batches of food, and I can freeze any leftovers for later. It's the perfect size. Not only does this kadai cook well, but it also looks beautiful on my stovetop. If you're looking for a kadai, I highly recommend this one. I haven't tried any other recipes in this, but I'm sure it can be used for soups as well. It's one of the best cookware purchases I've made. You won't be disappointed.

I know it’s originally meant for Indian dishes, but this is the perfect size for a 1~3 person shabu shabu / hot pot, especially for cooking at the table. The rolled edges (lip) help prevent spillage when ladling soup out of the pot. Light and sturdy, quality construction. It would also be useful for: - 1-2 person stir fry - 1-2 person “pot rice” - fits 2 instant noodle packets comfortably Overall, I would recommend as a multipurpose pot for anyone.

When I saw the kadai from this brand , I immediately ordered it . The size was just perfect for everyday cooking . This is good enough to make sabzi for a single family of 4 people. I already have a similar kadai from Vinod brand which has been in use for 2-3 yrs now . The only difference is the handle . Vinod brand of kadai has thickened handles and it doesn’t get hot that quick . I cooked in both the kadai sabzi , and this new kadai’s handle got hot quickly than the vinod one . If the manufacturer is listening , please make the handle a bit thicker as we keep on touching it stir the contents of the kadai. Apart form the that the finish and shine is nice 😊. It cleans up nicely in the dishwasher . I try not to cook on high flame . Medium flame works best. I cooked daily . One star is being taken away for thin handles.

Best wok I have ever owned! The overall thickness ensures the food doesn't burn. The handle does get hot so have to use mittens. It is perfect for meal-prepping or large family meals. Makes cooking rice, stews, curries a breeze. Fit is perfect. It is stainless steel so not non-stick, but if you let it heat, then add a later of oil, food will not stick. It is easy to clean with a scrub daddy sponge.

Good size kadhai for 5-7 people. Haven’t used it much for low oil cooking. But so far it’s working well at low heat for less oil cooking. Happy with results.

Really Happy with the purchase. It's a perfect Kadhai for 3-5 portions. It says 4 quarts, but marked upto 3 quart and 3 liters inside the kadhai. Beautiful looking riveted handles and Build quality. Perfect for Indian cooking. Just love it.

Really good quality kadai. Have been using it for a while and it's sturdy and perfect size for a small family.

got the 2.75qrt one. very sturdy and quality pot for stir fry. meat and egg get stick but with a bit of water they easily come off. the pot though is a bit shallow, would prefer it deeper for easy stir frying. I didn't know the upper and bottom diameter of the pot. I highly suggest the seller post the info, including depth for all its products. I find it a bit small for stir frying. but the pot is nice and solid. will think of buying a large size in the future. One year later Used it a year so far, stir frying or soup making, I started to notice tiny cracks at the bottom that are possibly revealing the underlying layer. If it's true, the quality of this pot is not good.
