My favorite white copal , hands down
Best smelling and highest quality white copal I've ever seen...and I've seen more than my fair share. Very powerful and strong scent that lasts

Most of the copal received was dust
Bag was broken/opened; resin was broken so much that it was mostly dust; also product is not actually copal. When burned, it is unlike copal and smells like burning plastic. Smh, Unbelievable. Returned.

buyer beware
I'm pretty sure this is actually plastic! I've had copal resin before, so I'm aware of what it looks like and smells like. First off this came in a bag with some huge chunks and tons of dust and looks clear, not at all like what resin looks like. Second there was zero smell coming from it, even holding it up to my nose. When I opened the plastic bag it came in, there was just a faint "plastic-y" smell. I tried to burn a tiny piece of it just to see and it smelled TOXIC, exactly like burning plastic. Extremely disappointed and returning item.

It does not mix well
I used this for making my own encaustic medium. It does not mix well with beeswax. Always gummy and thick at the bottom, so I'm not sure if my art work is the best quality because of it.

Good quality for Beeswax wrap recipes
Well packed, no dust leakage. Arrived promptly. I gave it a 4 star because some of the chunks were large enough to break only under a hammer. I needed this for beeswax wrap recipe - copal is approved for use around food. Pine resin is not.

No smell at all.
This resin has no smell except some toxic odor than it becomes liquid under heat. The description on the website is wrong for the wrong product.

BEWARE!! DANGEROUS PLASTIC ITEM!!
Obviously NOT "natural" or "organic"; our home filled with toxic plastic smell while burning (on charcoal as reccommended); clearly an adulterated product, and dangerous to be breathing in

White copal resin.
Very nice fragrance. Just as an aside I've seen copal being sold as amber (not here on Amazon though). Copal is NOT the same thing as amber. Copal is a resin - a young resin whereas amber (ie Baltic amber) is very old/ancient...multiple million of years. This copal has a lovely pine-like fragrant full of the lovely smell of terpines - obviously, because copal is the resin of coniferouS trees. Very nice.
