Got this for my daughter’s 8th birthday. What a hit! It’s a great choice if you want to give them the illusion of an electronic, but with limited access. Compact, easy to carry, and the charge lasts a very long time. The device already comes with a protective case. Upon using it myself, it’s a little slow to react to touch. Desperate fingers may have a hard time :) The platform offers many parental control choices. Not the easiest to navigate, but you get the hang of it. I’ve purchased books for my daughter through my own device and downloaded them to hers. She also has free choices that filter through the controls (with the Unlimited plan).

I have an avid reader who is 8, and she was constantly stealing my Kindle Colorsoft to use it on kids mode. I knew this would be a good purchase to gift her, and I was right! I was nervous she would complain about it being in black and white only, but she hasn’t said a word about it in the month she’s had it. She uses her Kindle almost daily. It’s quick to hook up to internet and download books, and it’s the perfect size for her. It’s super convenient for on the go too. I love the case, as it prevents so many scratches when it’s not in use. We did find a screen protector to fit as well. Battery life is decent for how much she uses it, and the contrast is just fine. It can be adjust as needed. It’s lightweight, durable, and super cute!

This kindle for kids has been great for my 10year old. The size and weight is easy for her to hold and carry around. She loves the color and the screen protector. The functionality of the internet connection is kinda slow when looking for books. While reading it seems to be fairly responsive while flipping pages and I love the battery life we only have to charge it once a month. Overall great for kids that like to read.

We love this kids kindle with a case. It's secure, light and very easy for kids to use. Perfect for summer reading and travel! But also every day reading.

My daughter loved it! She’s a big reader and has the tendency to start a lot of books at once. This helps her keep track of all of them. She likes that it feels similar to the books she reads. She’s able to easily read her books and adjust the font or brightness on her own. Coming with the case is so great, because it reminds her to keep it covered to protect her screen. She is able to navigate the touch screen features easily and look up and download books with no problems. I’d highly recommend for someone who has a child that loves to read and move on to books quickly. This keeps her busy and helps her continue loving to read.

my 7 year old reader is obsessed with his kindle. it is lightweight and easy to use. the only complaint is that it is sometimes slow and will freeze up from time to time.

Love great for kids!

Got this for my 8yr old son as a reward and he loves it. Just perfect size and easy to set up. Like that it also has kindle unlimited trial for a good time. Great that is it has adjustable light and font is easy to read. Battery life is also great as only needed to charge it once every 2 weeks.
