If you're looking for the best E-reader, this is it. As an owner of both the base kindle and this one, I can say that the paperwhite is perfect for me, and for most people. Pros: Balances size, weight and portability really well. Screen is very nice and adjustable. Warm light for night reading. Great size for manga/comics Cons: Not as portable as the base kindle. You can sometimes get a bad screen and would need to exchange it. Usage: I’ve been using it regularly for over a month and can say with certainty that I much prefer this for reading books and comics than my base kindle and my phone/tablet. It's also pretty portable but not as built for portability as the base model. I used it on the go and was just fine too. Best for: Anyone who wants an all-in-one device. If you read comics or manga, this one is the way to go, text is much smaller in comics and this size makes it more comfortable to read than anything smaller. Conclusion: Top of the line E-reader, can do anything you throw at it, decently portable with great battery life, feel in hand and build quality. Unless you only read on the go, I would say go for this model. PS, the signature edition has wireless charging, auto brightness and 32gb ram. Worth it if you care for any of these, otherwise go for the base paperwhite.

Fantastic bit of kit. Lovely to hold and look at, really responsive, and the auto-adjusting light is a really nice touch too. Changes in brightness are subtle so that you hardly notice, while being being really easy on your eyes at the same time. I’m really enjoying reading on it. Perfect for unwinding and avoiding screens. I treated myself to the brown leather cover too which gives it a nice vintage feel. Really pleased.

This has been an interesting experience for me. I’ve been using my trusty Kindle Oasis for years now and was not inclined to change, however I was aware that the Oasis would be obsolete in a few years and I knew there were better reading experiences out there. After trying my boyfriends Paperwhite, I decided to buy the Paperwhite Signature Edition and take the plunge. Immediately when it arrived I knew something was wrong, I’d read others reviews and hoped that I’d be spared any defaults. However, the bottom left of the screen had an awful yellow band that was most prominent in the corner but covered the whole bottom of the screen. After speaking to Amazon, I managed to get a replacement. The second kindle arrived and I thought it must be right, I was wrong. The second one was yellow all over (better than the blotches of it on the other one) but with specks of black on the screen too that it made it awful to read off. Comparing it to my partners normal Paperwhite, both kindles were far inferior. I complained again and managed to get a SECOND replacement. It arrived and lo and behold it was perfect! So I’m knocking off a star for the inconsistency of the quality of these kindles, but ultimately it is such a premium reading experience when you get a good one. The colour is crisp and white, it’s light and easy to hold and comfortable for long periods of time. It’s speed and having the ability to double tap the back to change pages are stand out features for me. I also enjoy being able to set the book I’m reading as my screensaver. It’s easy to navigate and use, extremely portable and feels sturdy. If you are able to take the gamble and see what kind of screen you get, it’s definitely worth it in the end. I’m extremely happy with my kindle and the customer service has been excellent to be fair. I also managed to purchase on Prime Day so I got a really good deal for this model.

Love my new kindle. Had my previous one for over ten years and only changed as it was no longer supported. Decided to buy this one for the features and am incredibly happy with my purchase. Super fast and easy to use and set up. Love light it is and love the bigger screen size. Touch screen can be a little slow at first but is fine after a minute. Screen is super bright and clear, and is bright enough I can read at night without a light on. Love that is has dark mode too so it isn't harsh on my eyes. Would highly recommend spending the money for this version

I've been very happy with my Kindle. The screen is easy on the eyes, the battery lasts a long time, and it's lightweight and comfortable to hold. It makes reading convenient whether I'm at home or on the go. Overall, it's a great device for anyone who enjoys reading, and I would definitely give it 5 stars.

If you like the larger display and the auto brightness, which does work very well, I haven't had to manually adjust it yet, this is well with the extra cost I don't plan to take advantage of the wireless charging as I don't have a charger that can do that but hey, maybe in the future I might look into the official one. The color is fantastic, I got the Raspberry one and it's stunning 😍 The screen is amazing too, just the right size to comfortably read text heavy manga and comics alike. I use my smaller basic kindle still for reading regular books or when I travel. The warm light is great for bedtime reading before going to sleep and I feel like I sleep better compared to reading off my basic kindle
