Incredible!
I purchased this pack for both my husband and I to pack our 30lbs 18 month old son with us when we hunt, hike, fish, horseback riding, camp, and enjoy the outdoors. I was thrilled when I found it and even more thrilled at an affordable price. The product is put together incredibly well and my son loves it. He hates to be confined and he seems to feel like he can move as well as see whats going on just fine. He seems comfortable, and well restrained. I love how versitile and well this adjusts, it is so easy to adjust and fits me well along with my husband; it could also adjust to go for smaller people. I really enjoy how padded the shoulder and waist straps are to help take some of the weight off of your body.It takes alot of weight off your back. Im happy about the extra storage(it really is everywhere considering you have a human being on your back) and the waterbottle holders. I enjoy the weather sheilds for their face as living in Utah, and hiking in the high rocky mountains, the weather changes constantly- from sunshine to snow to rain and 70+ degrees F to 30- degrees F in literally 12 or less hours. I also really like this pack for household chores and yardwork, as my son feels like he can be apart of what I'm doing without being in my way or in dangerous situations. I'm disapointed in only having one color choice, I wish they had more earth-tone colors. I also wish it already came with a few accesories such as a mirror to look back on your child, and a sippy grip to hold drinks as it seems a fun game to throw it on the ground constantly.(I have now purchased these things, and suggest you do also) We are avid outdoorsmen and Im so excited to use this with our son, and future children; as we dont slow down with children, we take them along and teach them to love the mountains as much as we do! I deffinatly reccomend this product to anyone who loves the outdoors, and wants to take their children with them! I already have recomended it to many friends and family memebers who hold the same kind of lifestyle as we do. Don't stop going or slow down doing the things you love, take your children with you in this comfortable, easy, and safe pack!

A great way to enjoy the outdoors with a tot
I purchased this during a month when my husband had to work long hours due to fiscal year closeout. I was left with my daughter on weekends, and she was getting upset about "why daddy was always at work," so I wanted to take her on several outings. Not easy to do with a toddler too young to really understand the importance of commands. So I took her in this carrier, and we went hiking several times. It was easy enough to set up by myself, including hoisting her on my back and taking her off. (Obviously, you have to have some core strength to do this, but I would imagine anyone considering one of these already is strong enough to handle it). The backpack distributed her weight evenly so that I didn't really feel heaviness. Of course I sweated under the carrier, but I don't think any material would prevent that. It wasn't overly hot or anything. My sister came across a used carrier that originally cost a LOT, and I can definitely see a bit of a difference in quality. If I were a serious hiker, I would probably go with a more expensive pack, but for casual day hikes, this did the trick. It had enough storage capacity to hold a few snacks/drinks, it was easy enough for one person to set up, and it folded up nicely to fit in my trunk, even with a stroller already in there. As for my daughter, she had to be introduced to the pack slowly. We put some of her toys in there, and she watched me walk them around the house, etc. (This was the case for any "new thing" back in those tot days--she seems to have outgrown that phase already). Once she was comfortable with the idea, it was easy enough for me to place her in the carrier, and she greatly enjoyed our hikes. In fact, she was comfortable enough to doze off on several occasions. For me, the price was worth it simply to be able to enjoy the month of September with my daughter, and I look forward to using it again with my son.

but it feels like 2 (maybe)
This thing says it is 5 lbs, I didnt put it on a scale, but it feels like 2 (maybe). SUPER LIGHT, SUPER AWESOME, SUPER WELL BUILT!!! I am US Marine for over 25 years and have worn some packs in my time :) This is just as good as any MOLLE System for putting my little Marine inside. The top goes on and off easy, the storage is great, and the stand makes it nice to set that little joker down, just like in his stroller. I picked this thing up because we go to Disney each year and strollers are just in the way. I will do hikes for the next few months to get him ready for the Fall trip, but I think it will be great. For a theme park from what I have seen, I can toss the little Jar Head in the pack, all his 782 gear (canteen, skivvies, and baby MRE's) and away we go. It is easy to get him in and out, I can just wear the pack as a normal one when he is not in it and it flattens right out. No longer do I have to lug some massive three wheel stroller in my truck, or blast people in the ankles (we all know that pain) or worry about if someone walked off with it. Worth the price or even higher. I don't recommend anyone else buying this piece of gear because I don't want anyone taking any cool points from me :). If you do get one this is the one to get, but let me know so I can avoid your area and it will also give me time to put some optics on it and paint it Olive Drab so I don't blend in with the civilian travelers... HA HA!!!

Short trip solution but not for routine hiking
We bought this last minute to carry our three year old daughter on a family camping/hiking vacation. (For reference, I am a 5'3", 115lbs, BF is 5'10", 165 lbs, daughter is 30lbs.) We are not serious backpackers, but BF and I are in good shape and are relatively active so we did some pretty long hikes on difficult terrain. This pack got the job done, but has some limitations. Pros: Daughter was completely comfortable for entire trip. Did not complain of pain or discomfort as she sometimes does in her car seat, and utilized the foot stirrups to stretch her legs often. There was a pretty good amount of storage in the pocket under the child seat, such as for extra diapers and wipes in a young child, or a jacket for an older child. Materials used on the carrier such as nylon, buckles, etc. seemed to be good quality and we had zero issues figuring out how to adjust everything to fit our daughter and for switching the carrying duties back and forth. Cons: BF and I both felt a lot of pressure and pain across our mid-backs within the first couple of hours of use. We immediately noticed pain was decreased when we had daughter cinched tightly against our backs, which makes sense, but it seemed unfortunate she had to be pulled in so tightly as it restricted her movement and visibility quite a bit. We both felt weight distribution across our upper and mid backs/shoulders was very poor and after the second day we had quite a bit of sharp pains immediately upon putting it on. Specifically, my issue was the harness could not be adjusted down small enough for my frame. The waist belt (even when the foam waist strap was overlapped on itself) could not get tight enough to support my daughter on my hips. Therefore, I was wearing her entirely like a backpack. Despite being much taller and having the waist belt sit on his hips, my BF complained of the same issue and said the weight was almost solely centered on his shoulders. In total, we would each wear her about an hour and then switch off for three consecutive afternoons/early evenings. We used the pack to hike Notch Trail in Badlands National Park, which has a steep ladder to climb and had no problems hauling her up and down in this carrier. Both BF and I were dripping in sweat on our backs where the carrier touched our bodies but it was insanely hot, to be fair. Take-aways for us: I was a baby-wearer with both my kids, and this reminded me of how easy it was to just motor along at my own pace, not worrying if the kids were dallying behind or getting into trouble as well as not having the hassle of maneuvering around a giant stroller. For this reason I am now wishing I had spent a little more money and gotten a more expensive, highly-rated carrier as I can see a lot of situations coming up in the future where I will be tempted to use this thing. For example, as I sit here I am contemplating taking my daughter on a trip to the state fair and am feeling a little concerned I won't be able to lug her around in this thing for an entire day without calling it early due to back pain. Despite the discomfort mentioned above we were able to muster through on our trip. For the price of this carrier compared to others, it also got the job done without breaking the bank but petite women or men who are shorter may have a difficult time perfecting the fit of this carrier. We both agreed we were glad to have had this for the trip, but if you have a younger tot and anticipate getting a few years' use out of it, you will probably be happy you spent a little more money on a higher end option.

Hard-to-please baby approved
To say that my precious 14 month old is difficult to please is an understatement. He doesn’t like riding in the car but he doesn’t want to stay home; he’s independent, but he wants you there to watch him fall to his death; he pushes you away and then wonders with an ear piercing screech why you’re not following him; he wants to be outside, but not in any of the ways you deem safe. Very little has ever been good enough for him, and then came our ClevrPlus Backpack. I. Love. This. Thing. But more importantly, my difficult to please tiny boss loves this thing. We were having a terrible morning while out camping. He didn’t sleep well the night before and he was just being a terror. I finally dropped everything and said, “that’s it, let’s go.” I put him in the backpack and off we went. His screeches calmed to gentle giggles and coos as we explored the pines beyond our campsite. Within 45 minutes he was asleep on my back. We continued on for another hour or so and he just snoozed away. This child does NOT sleep anywhere but his bed and only under the most precise conditions. This backpack was comfortable for him and for me. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, on this backpack is adjustable ensuring the perfect fit for you and your hard to please tiny boss. I especially love the stirrups that give his legs extra support and my back a break from him kicking me. The sunshade provides ample coverage from the sun and he still had plenty of room to look around. The hip belt did an incredible job of holding the weight of the backpack without uncomfortably squeezing my hips. The shoulder straps only pulled on the fronts of my shoulders a tiny bit, it did not hang on the tops of my shoulders which often leads to pinched nerves and swollen hands for me. I really can’t say enough good things about this backpack. It’s a total game changer for me. The ONLY downside I can think of is that I can’t reach the water bottle holders myself unless I take the backpack off. But since I rarely do this kind of strenuous hiking by myself, I can hardly find the desire to care. 10/10 would recommend.

Sturdy, comfortable, and durable!
Absolutely love this backpack! Used it a couple times already. My baby is very comfortable and often sleeps throughout our hikes. Good quality, support, and weight. I’ve hiked through rain, shine, wind and snow and the padding(and canopy) have kept my baby dry through it all. I also love the extra pockets in the front and back. Very easy to pack snacks for the road :)

Perfect Carrier for our 2 year old son
We took our 2 year old son hiking in Zion National Park. He was comfortable sitting in it during our long hikes. It took a few tries to get him adjusted correctly and figure out what position he should be in, but once we figured it our he was happy the entire time. The weight distribution was wonderful. It was comfortable to carry. My son was 27 lbs and my husband did not complain about carrying him the entire time because of how comfortable it was. The sun shade was perfect. The feet harnesses were an extra bonus but it was hard for my son to keep his feet secured in them, so after a while we gave up. I would definitely recommend this product - especially for this price. One thing to be aware of - it is pretty large and does not fold up. We had an extra free suitcase so we put it in there. However, it took up the entire length of a large suitcase. I do not know of another way to transport this on an airplane (as it is too large for a carryon). Keep this in mind when purchasing it to travel.

Best Baby Backpack for the price!
I have seen some comments that are not as happy with the quality, but this is an amazing piece of gear. Our baby is only 2-3 months in the pictures. We roll a soft small blanket to put in front of him, and he basically falls right to sleep. It is like a giant rocker for him. Plus he gets to look around. He actually loves the backpack way more than his stroller. We are going to start bringing him on much longer mountain hikes soon. The pack is very comfortable, and I barely feel him on my back.
