Fits well but the clip is very small but does prevent loss. Improves vision through the viewfinder by blocking extraneous light from the sides. Very comfortable and allows eye to be further away while blocking side light.

My a7cii is a perfect upgrade to my a7iii in so many ways, but the form factor meant that it was a little too small for my giant hands (fixed with a Smallrig grip) and the viewfinder is a step down in its physical size. I thought the small viewfinder might end up as a dealbreaker, and I was planning to exchange the camera for an a7iv, but then I saw this. It doesn’t make the viewfinder any bigger, of course, but it does make using it so much simpler - it ensures my eye is always in the right place, rather than leaving me squinting for a better view. It fits onto the camera perfectly and holds fast, even when you’re throwing your camera into a bag.

This really does the job and helps when light gets in the viewfinder. It also comes with a little string so you don’t lose it. It’s just another thing dangling so I didn’t bother and I ended up losing the eyecup. It does stick out a bit and if you’re going to be on the run you may end up losing it like me. But it does serve a purpose and improves the viewfinder experience for the A7CR. It fits perfectly and it’s not too bulky. The price is reasonable considering there are no other options and if Sony would have sold one , it would have been 5 times the price. It seems sturdy enough and during the time I used it it endured some rough handling. Overall I would recommend it.

works exactly as it should , dont buy any of the others this one is the best engineered of them all , and it works exceptionally well with smallrigs cage as well , you would think they engineered it that way

On bright days this is perfect for viewing both what you've taken and composing your shots. Also it attaches, securely, without using up the hot shoe; I have a thumb grip in mine.

Very surprised by the clever design which works perfectly on the Sony A7C2. There is a well placed gap for both the logo-name on top and another for the onboard mic, so audio recording is not affected. The eye-cup fits perfectly and is a pleasure to use. It actually does make quite a difference to using the EVF. It covers your eye making it much easier to view a scene and camera information through the EVF. It is a pity that Sony didn't come up with the idea themselves. There is also a small chain to attach it to the camera, so it stays with the camera if removed from the top. I did feel that the little 'hook' on the chain seems rather flimsy but no doubt it could be replaced with a stronger connection if needed. Otherwise, seems sturdy, well built and does a good job of covering your eye so no light leaks in when using it.
