Poor quality
Poor quality when compared with previous kits I have owned. In past years these have been made in Europe, but I assume this is Chinese. Certainly the instructions are in the usual Pidgin-English. Probably best to buy the more expensive options if you intend lengthy periods in the bush.

you live in the tropics? you need to have this
Down here for a number of years I’ve gone through some pretty nasty bites, including brown recluse. After having some bad damage from themas well as on that some insect bites you can use something like this on you and remove some of the venom. I’ve had enough bites, including 14 just with those particular spiders that I got desperate after just sitting in emergency rooms and not proposing that this is something you should do instead of getting something looked at, but I’ve had enough myself with history on them. I know enough to know when I can do something and when I can’t. You can bet I’m going to have these in the house all the time. You can reduce a lot of the severity if you catch it really early and then use the kind of thing that you can use a venom extractor on.! If you get a bite from one of them, you’re going to be willing to pay just about anything to fix it or at least minimize it so this cost point it’s ridiculous for what I can do for you. Such a good deal if you lose things buy two of them.

Nifty device, cleverly designed.
Hope never to need to use it. One way valve at insertion end of clear suction cap enables repeated pumping action without loss of suction thereby enabling a considerable suction to be created as spring loaded 'T' end of plunger is repeatedly pulled. Wide end of plastic handle fits in palm while index and 'middle' finger [aka 'tall man'] hook onto plunger 'T' enabling device to be used with one hand. Construction seems robust enough for intended use. Wide end can be rotated out of locking notch at full extension pictured to slide down groove on exterior of barrel to make unit about 2" shorter for storage. Storage volume ca1.5"x2.5"x5". Comes with two [2] each alcohol and iodine wipes. No idea what shelf life is. Also has a 1" wide x 18" long thin rubber strap to use for tourniquet. Get this if you live in poisonous snake country.
