Great for snow and ice!!
Just bought these before the ice storm we had here in NC. Worked great and even has done well in the snow storm. I wear a size 12 boot and the large is a perfect fit. Great traction in winter weather. So far the durability has been holding up to what Iโve been putting them through.

SOLID DEPENDABLE traction on icy winter trails or sidewalks or streets
Just hiked 60 percent incline over 0.2 mile Maine granite boulder Goat Trail up Norumbega Mountain today on a 4 mile Maine winter hike. Four to 10 inches of snow atop layers of flow ice and temperatures rising from freezing up to our 35-40 degrees air temp hiking day. So, warming wet snow with snow on tree boughs overheat dripping on us and on the trails. No slip. No slide. No problem. On wet rocks and roots. On rough Acadia National Park pink granite boulders and sloped slabs. Rubber did not displace on my boots. Little of the snow under boot stuck to impair the grip in these conditions. Straight up powdery snow atop ice or lake or pond ice or flow ice across trails can be successfully traversed. I have four varieties of YakTrak and each serves in our winter walking/hiking. The older units we own are all in use, going back 10-15 years, now.

I recommend it!
The large size fits my hiking shoes size (male 10) well. It works great walking on icy trail but fluffy snow can get stuck within the spikes. Overall, it is a great product.

Wanna stay out of the hospital? Get them.
PROS: - Been walking on solid ice with these and doing fine, no slippage at all. After breaking my ankle on the ice in 7 places a few years back I don't take chances anymore and this is the first time in years I've felt confident going outside during Alaskan winter. My other cleats don't compare to these. - They look cool as hell, lmao. CONS: - You can't walk on wood with these without biting into the wood. This stuff is seriously hardcore! - Putting on and taking off is kinda a pain. I would rather just change shoes on the go. I'm gonna start bringing extra shoes in the car for when I need to go shopping. - The sizing is a mess. Me and my mom bought 3 sizes (medium, large, and XL) and none of them fit either of us perfectly. They REALLY need a better sizing range. Prepare to send these back for another size if you purchase. NEUTRAL: - Very loud! The whole neighborhood can hear our spikes cracking the ice with every step. This isn't a pro or a con because I really like the confidence that noise brings - it means I have traction, a good sign to take the next step without slipping. OVERALL ASSESSMENT: If you want the ultimate safety during winter, this is your answer. Stop looking elsewhere. All my cons don't matter if it means you don't go to the hospital. Ice slips can seriously ruin your life permanently. Buy them.

I'm a women's size 9 and the Medium is too small for my boots. Cannot get them on. Will be returning.
