Great heavy-duty dolly! It feels sturdy, rolls smoothly, and makes moving furniture much easier. The wheels rotate well, and the included lifter, tape measure, and leveler are useful extras. Great for home or office use.

I have a workbench that I built many years ago. The top is a solid fire door, the legs are 4”x6” lumber, and the corner braces are cut from 4x4s. It’s absolutely rock solid — and definitely the best bench I’ve ever had — but it’s not exactly portable. Even without the big bench vise and smaller carpenter’s vise that are both attached to it. Stupid me, I have been cleaning up the basement and decided it was time to put the workbench where it really belongs. So I started looking for some way to put it on wheels. After reading some reviews I bought this set. My basement floor is concrete, so I didn’t anticipate any problems moving the bench once it was on wheels. And since the casters lock, I figured that I could put them under the bench and just leave them there for future use. Which was what I did. I used a hydraulic jack to lift each leg and put a caster underneath it. Once I had the casters in place, the bench was actually pretty easy to move. Each caster has five wheels, and they feel as though they’d be able to support an impressive amount of weight. My workbench, though heavy, is probably nowhere the weight limit of these things. I moved the bench into its desired position and locked down the casters. They complained a bit about being locked, but overall the operation went pretty well. I have no idea if the included lifting device (basically a flat plate with a lever attached) would have worked, and had no desire to find out — I imagine something like it might be necessary for a refrigerator, where you can’t get under it with a jack. In my case, the jack was clearly the way to go.

This didn't work for us at all. We are removing carpet in the house, and laying wood flooring ourselves, and this product was to facillitate moving furniture around. We finished our one year project recently and found that the most efficient and useful product were furniture sliders. To move furniture off carpet, you just had to lift furniture just a little bit to be able to get the sliders under the corners or legs of whatever you were moving and that pretty much did the job. On cement slab after carpet had been removed, and also on the new flooring after it had been installed, we found using some Masonite type panel board with the painted, or slick surface (don't know specifically what I'm talking about there) facing up worked extremely well in relocating furniture. In the kitchen, was able to put sliders under the refrigerator "feet" and slide across the Masonite type product with no damage to the new flooring. My wife and I did everything ourselves, me 69, her 71. As far as these dolly wheels....the problem was twofold. One, you have to raise whatever item you are moving high enough to get the wheels underneath. The supplied lift bar just didn't work for me. I used brute strength (not advised...my back didn't appreciate it) to lift high enough...was brutal and difficult to coordinate with my wife trying to locate the wheels satisfactorily. When you did get them placed, they wouldn't move in concert with each other, the wheels wouldn't all move in synch, and it just didn't work. Furniture would fall off, lean, move awkwardly, and just not work. Granted, we didn't keep trying that much, because we found moving our old fashioned wall type entertainment center, that weighed about maybe 400 pounds and was about 6 foot long, by 2.5 wide by 6 foot high, that the sliders worked so much better, (meaning we could actually move it) that we never really attempted much more for the rest of the house furniture. Every time we needed to move something we found ourselves returning to the sliders.

bought this to help with our move to a new house. this was a great help in moving the the heavier items like the fridge. dressers, washer, dryer, and sofa. i was really glad i bought it. i would recommend it.

Great product, minor issue of them slipping out from under things and the edge on them can be minor pain but the benefit out ways issues.

The kit is well equipped and includes everything needed to move furniture, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, it didn't work well on my carpet. The dollies didn't roll smoothly, and the furniture wasn't as stable as I expected. I think this set is better suited for hard floors or very thin carpet rather than thicker carpeted surfaces.

Needed to move a heavy (several hundred pounds of treated lumber) wood shed that I had built in my garage over the winter months. These dollies did the job and I was able to move the entire unit around and out of the garage without much effort. These dollies held up well and are ready for the next heavy load.

I really wanted to love this product, the manufacturer provides everything you can imagine with this kit - the 4 dolly pads, the pry bar, lifting blocks, non-slip pads - even extras like a tape measure, gloves, level and storage bag. I have a very heavy entertainment system - a solid wood cabinet loaded with equipment, probably weight 400 pounds or so. It sits on a Berber carpet, not a very deep pile - but it turns out it was too deep for these dollies and the reason is the wheel lock switches - they catch the carpet loops and dig in, engaging the lock. Now I knew I had set all of these locks off so when it wouldn't budget I gave it a good shove, it went another 1/2 inch. So I pried the system up and examined the wheels to see why they wouldn't turn and discovered they had dug into the Berber carpet, snagged a loop, engaged the lock mechanism AND tore the loop out as I shoved the equipment trying to make it move. This wouldn't have happened on a hard surface or VERY low pile carpet (flat, like you find in commercial spaces). I loved that these dollies had corner guards to keep the furniture on the dolly, but what isn't shown in the photos is that non-slip pads are provided which seemed like a good idea so I put them on. This raised the bottom about an eighth of an inch and as others have said - your furniture WILL slip up and over these edges, they need to be taller to be effective. Lastly there's the pry bar, it comes with rubber pads to protect the furniture you are lifting - this also seemed like a good idea. Except that it creates resistance and you can't get the tongue under the furniture - I had to lift the furniture and kick the tongue under with my foot then rest the furniture on it. Now with a 400 pound cabinet on it when I cocked it up the rubber pad "dragged" across the surface, leaving a gummy mess behind and really providing no benefit. I don't recommend using these pads if the furniture you are moving rests flush on the floor, you won't be able to get the tongue under the furniture with these rubber pads. As others have said, I'd also be concerned about using these on hardwood floors - they have the potential to really gouge your floors. I would only consider these useful on concrete, very low pile carpet and similar situations.
