Fantastic features in a quality machine; great customer service to back it up
We've been looking for a portable laptop to bring with us to a cafe or while traveling, and the specs on this little machine ticked off a lot of boxes: 1) well performing 4105 Celeron chip; 2) sufficient RAM (12g vs the typical 6g or 8g on lesser mini laptops); 3) good storage (256g should be sufficient for most and was the model we got); 4) good connectivity (two USB 3.0, mini-HDMI, TF card slot); and 5) good battery life. This was perfect for our needs and came in a very light, responsive package. Most important for us was to have Windows 11 loaded and legitimate, and super convenient to also have Microsoft Office pre-installed so we didn't have to pay more for that productivity suite later on. This little thing was wonderful, and we only have two suggestions for future improvements: a) the mouse buttons were a bit too close to the space bar and frequently were mis-hit while typing leading to some deletions or unintended text; and b) perhaps switch out one of the USB 3.0's for a USB type C port, which is more common these days. Bonus points to make it chargeable via that port to standardize the charging block. For (a), the seller helpfully includes a wireless mouse so you no longer have to use the keyboard mouse. What a great bonus! We had a problem with the mouse on the keyboard, and contacted the seller. They were responsive and responded within a day to try to trouble shoot and solve the problem. Be reassured that if you purchase this unit via Amazon Prime you will have customer support to work through issues and come up with a solution.

Solid budget laptop if tablet mode isn't your main thing
I've used this laptop for a planned movie night with a USB stick when electricity died. Got three movies out of it. Decent sound quality. Battery life otherwise is pretty nice, don't have to turn off constantly. My main gripe is the "tablet" mode. I was hoping it'd be comfortable enough to use as an eReader, but the overall feel just doesn't work for me. Could be a personal thing. But it doesn't close up tightly, and somehow radiates a kind of clumsy uncertainty, like I could have just bought a laptop and held it sideways in portrait mode. No issues software wise so far: not too slow, decent memory for my minimalist uses. I like that it comes with a mouse, since personally I suck at trackpad, but if you're not going to use it for mouse heavy stuff the trackpad works well enough that you have the option. Overall I'm happy with it. At this price point I wasn't sure what to expect, and with the issues I've had with returns here, I was willing to call it a loss if it didn't work out. But yeah, happy surprise!

Terrible Purchase – Avoid at All Costs Third and Final UPDATED 01172025
Third and Final Update 1/17/2025 First, let me be clear: I knew I wasn't buying a Surface Pro or MAC Book. This was a clear case use for a laptop I could carry to work as my company stopped us from using social media, NETFLIX etc on company computers. I'm not a big tablet person so that wasn't working for me and I wanted the smallest and lightest foot print if I had to carry 2 devices for work. I had success buying from Chinese vendors before but this was not one of them. After my first disappointing purchase, I decided to give this product another try, hoping it was just a one-off issue. Unfortunately, I was wrong. When I received the second device, it had a crack on the hinge right out of the box, hidden under a sticker. This only confirmed my suspicion that these items are refurbished, despite the seller’s lack of honesty about it. Still, I tried to make the best of it and took the device on a work trip. It was a disaster: Terrible Sound Quality: The audio was muffled and practically unusable for anything beyond basic notifications. - Abysmal Battery Life: The battery lasted a pathetic 1.5 hours**, and recharging took an absurd **3 hours with the included charger. My main issue was the overheating Issues. After just 30 minutes of watching a video, the device got so hot I couldn’t even keep it on my bare skin. This is not only uncomfortable but also concerning from a safety perspective. The concept of this device might be appealing, but the execution is abysmal. I’m returning this one too and won’t be giving this seller another chance. It might be okay as a toy for a small child, but I wouldn’t trust it for a young teenager. Also because it's a laptop you should expect 5-7 days for a refund as someone at Amazon has to "check it out" Save your money and look for something reliable elsewhere. Very disappointed. 12/29/2024 I purchased a new laptop and received it today. I wanted to give an updated review and my thoughts after using for 5 hrs. Replacement Laptop: Packaging and Appearance: The replacement laptop arrived today, and it was evident this unit was new. It had protective plastic film on the lid, screen, bottom, and trackpad. The trackpad also featured a visible fingerprint scanner, which was missing on the first laptop. Performance and Build: The laptop feels sturdy and slightly heavy but performs well. The 2K screen quality is excellent, and I have not experienced any performance hiccups so far. Windows Activation and Setup: 1. Similar to the first laptop, this one came pre-set up. This time, however, I was able to find the activation key but was not able to reset the laptop due to receiving an "Could not find recovery environment" 2. The included instructions referenced an ASUS laptop and even described a CD drive, which this model does not have. Overall Rating: 3 Stars Positives: * The seller was responsive, though their overseas location caused delays (approximately 12 hours per response). * The laptop feels solid, performs well, and has excellent screen quality. Negatives: 1. The first laptop appeared opened or refurbished and had scratches. 2. Windows activation issues persists, and I may need to purchase a new license. 3. The instructions were incorrect and referenced features this laptop doesn’t have. 4. The return process through Amazon was cumbersome compared to previous experiences. Final Thoughts: I decided to give this model another chance because I wanted an upgrade from my stolen Chuwi 2-in-1. While this laptop offers better specs (16GB RAM vs. 12GB and a fingerprint scanner), the experience was frustrating. I feel like I bought this through a discount platform like Temu, not Amazon, and I blame Amazon for allowing such inconsistencies. If you’re willing to save $40 compared to the Chuwi, this laptop might be worth the risk—but be prepared for potential setbacks and the possibility of needing to buy an operating system. 12/22/2024 I am extremely disappointed with this product. From the moment I unboxed it, the issues were glaring. Scratched Screen: The screen was visibly scratched, and you could feel the damage. For a "new" or "refurbished" item, this is unacceptable. Startup Issues: On the first power-up, it didn’t even load the normal Windows sign-in page. Instead, it booted directly to some random page, which immediately raised red flags about its condition and security. Tablet Mode Lock: When I reset the computer for security reasons, it got stuck in tablet mode. Worse yet, the activation code for Windows was invalid. There was a sticker directing me to email for the activation code, but the email wasn’t even associated with the supposed seller, ZWYING Store. This is absolutely a waste of money. The product is poorly refurbished, and the seller’s practices seem shady at best. I could have saved myself the hassle by shopping elsewhere—TEMU would have been a better option! Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Awesome small computer for travel
Love this computer. Exactly what I was looking for. Ultra compact and pretty solid. I use a external wireless mouse with it. It's fast and has a vibrant screen. Battery life seems better than average. Only drawback is the placement of the right-click keys under the space bar. I keep whacking them when I'm just trying to press space. My only complaint.

Great and then stopped charging
Had this product since August of 2022. Tonight I went to turn it on and it would not power on. I plugged it in and saw that the power light would not come on in the back. Put a multimeter to the power cord and got 12v out from the power cord. So it seems the laptop input power has fried. Hopefully it can get a warranty fix to it but just be aware that it can happen. Revised my review. After speaking with seller they were able to get the product replaced and taken care of. They were prompt, courteous and genuine. I am very pleased with this all

Excellent Purchase Despite the Need for Software Workarounds
A surprisingly well-built computer sold by a responsive seller. Other reviewers have examined its hardware—touchscreen, 12GB RAM, ssd sizes—so my notes are more specific to the software side. My device arrived with a genuine copy of Windows 11 Pro, but already set up as Administrator with Office 2019 installed. Concerned, I reinstalled Windows via USB Creation Disk, but there are no machine-specific drivers available for download. So before a reinstall, you must back up the existing drivers through an elevated cmd command such as: dism /online /export-driver /destination:"full path of folder on a usb/sd" When you search the web, you can find other ways to save your original drivers, but do NOT reinstall Windows without first putting them on an external drive. After the reinstall, direct missing drivers in Device Manager/Unknown Devices to your saved directory of drivers and all hardware will successfully reinstall except for the mouse buttons, which will need reprogramming through Autohotkey or some other key remapping application (for a Autohotkey script to address this, google reviews of “Topton L4” and one will provide a download). Secondly, while the machine mostly performs well with very current Linux distros, internal sound/headphone requires a custom kernel compilation. If you google yangxiaohua2009 and visit his github, you’ll find his work with the ESSX8336 audio chip and a couple of ready-made .deb kernels. His kernels do not include 32-bit capability in the .config, which I need, and only his latest kernel solves the issue of no sound after resuming from suspend. As another reviewer states, a usb headphone connection will produce sound in Linux and perhaps that’s enough for a user that doesn’t want the hassle of compiling. The hassle was worth it for me, and I run a 5.19 kernel on MX Linux 21 ahas (ahas has wifi working out of the box), and with his patches found on #9 in his github issues, I have internal sound and sound after resume. I imagine that ESSX8336 drivers will be available in mainstream kernels, maybe 6.2 or 6.3 Also: a properly-working left mouse requires Linux terminal commands “xkbset exp "=mousekeys"” followed by “xkbset m” One thing I have not been able to solve is the always-on fan. It seems un-programmable in either Windows or Linux—on the other hand, this device can produce significant spikes in temperature, even during light browsing, so constant cooling may be necessary. Ultimately, these software workarounds prevent me from giving this computer 5 stars, but if you’re willing to tinker, both freshly-installed Windows 11 Pro and Linux can perform admirably, and I’m glad I bought it. 6/25/24 Update: The machine is still holding up nicely, even its battery life, and as anticipated, current linux kernels have solved the sound problems. With the rolling release of Manjaro, kernel 6.8.12-3-MANJARO has perfect audio, speaker and headphone.

it says it come with windows11 Pro it came with Windows11 Enterprise
It says it runs up to 2GHz, well it came with 1.5GH that is it. and it says nothing about Wi-Fi well it works great on Wi-Fi 5 if U have that it is fast and on restart is fast, I spent all day getting to really know mine and now I just love it. I got the 256GB drive but now is wish i would have paid extra and got the 512GB drive. Oh, the other thing is on the 256GB drive well that is spilt with 128GB each. which I think is a disadvantage. I do like it for what I wanted it for. I also downloaded Quicken on it works great. so far I have used it 5 Days in a roll. I still love it. I love the hard shell that is around it. it was easy setup. worked right away out of the box. I did not like the mouse that came with it, it was a rechargeable mouse. I use my own wireless mouse that U put a Battery in. Bottom line is i love mine

Don't waste your money!
Update: When will I ever learn not to buy these cheap no name computers. After not having this very long, it now refuses to charge. So, shortly it will be useless and I will have wasted my money as it is long past the return window. So, if you are considering buying this piece of junk, don't bother. Take your time, save your money and buy a decent computer. This is certainly not it! I have changed my rating to one star. If I could reduce it to no stars, I would. The computer was shipped without a product key for Window Pro 11. I have contacted the seller. I will withhold judgment until I hear back from them. Now, for the computer itself. It is a powerful little machine. However, the keyboard is a disappointment. I wanted to use it for business travel, so I didn't have to take my expensive Samsung computer. Due to the keyboard that is not possible. I have no problem with the size, I expected it to be small. The problem I have with it is the keyboard is not responsive. When typing, it skips letters, therefore not allowing me to pick up any speed. The touch screen is great. The speed of the computer is fast and the screen is acceptable. All in all, I could easily have given it a five if it weren't for the above issues.
