Steri-Strip Skin Closures
These strips are wonderful. When opening a can of kitty food, the lid slipped and cut a deep gash in my thumb - including nicking a vein. After I finally got the bleeding stopped, I used saline wash and two Steri - Strips. Cleaned every two days. My wound is almost healed after a week. The strips held the wound closed so it could mend. So grateful.

Excellent product
Love the 1/.2 inch steri strip rather than the 1/4 although I have both. Since I am on blood thinners, my skin is like parchment paper and tears easily. These strips work to reattach the tear and then a band aid works to secure everything.

Purchased these to replace steri-strips that were coming off my incision from knee surgery. Worked great!!

Probably not for surgical incisions
Size of the strips are great. I needed them after thumb surgery to cover the incision, They cut to size easily. Easing back into normal activities I find that even on washed, dried, bare skin they lift off if rubbed against something, Which means I have to replace them sometimes during the day.

great for wound care when we get cut or have surgery
No more fat scars from cuts. I have a VERY sharp pocket knife that I use. I've been cut twice when I struggled to remove a seal and the knife slipped off the objects. I had a deep 1/2-inch wide cut on my left hand which bled a lot because it hit a vein. All it took was sealing the cut by pulling the skin neatly together with 1/2 inch wide Steri-Strips to accomplish this. Now I have a barely visible scar. Since I have a bulk supply of Steri-Strips and because of the depth of the cut, I changed the steri-strips and cleaned the wound twice a day for the first 3-4 days, then once a day until fully healed. When I cut my thumb with the same knife's point, there was lots of blood. By this time, I also had the 1-inch wide Steri-Strips. I used them like a bandage and sealed the skin. There is no scar evident.
