Great electric toothbrush
This toothbrush is light, holds its charge well, isn't too noisy, and most importantly keeps my teeth immaculate. I previously had gum issues, but it has really helped me manage them. I have had this almost 2 years now, and it still works perfectly.

HIGH QUALITY FROM PHILIPS
I have owned several Philips Sonicare toothbrushes, their quality is second to none! I was surprised to find this model 4100 was smaller than the others, that wasn't made clear in the purchase information - I nearly sent it back thinking it a child's model, but I checked the 'seller' Amazon's site did describe it as being for an Adult, and as it takes the normal size brush I decided to keep it. It is excellent. The 30second bleep for the 2minutes brushing time is always useful, on this model, instead of the usual hesitation in the vibration, it seems to have an audible beep. Great value.

Excellent toothbrush
I switched from Oral B to this brush recently and don't regret my decision. Gives a fresh and clean feeling to your whole mouth.

Brilliant cleaning, disappointing battery life
Does a brilliant job of cleaning teeth in combination with the C2 brush head, but the battery life is poor. It claims 14 days, in reality I'm getting 6 or 7. I've had Sonicare toothbrushes for very many years, and the battery life is noticeably worse with this model then those I've owned previously.

Smaller than expected (kids size?)
If you're coming from a manual toothbrush or this is your 1st Philips electric toothbrush - then you will love this 4100 series. However, if you're coming from a higher Sonicare Series model - then be aware that there are physical size differences between models that might disappoint. There are a ton of different Philips Sonicare toothbrush models to choose from - and if you're confused as to which one to get, I don't blame you. Philips do nothing to advertise the full differences between their models and you're most likely left thinking that a higher 'series' number is better or a higher price means a better toothbrush (the two criterias don't always match). This Sonicare 4100 is our households 4th electric toothbrush by Philips in just under 4 years. I cannot recall the exact first model number, but it was a '3000' series. The other 2 models were 5100 series (no longer being made, but equivelent to the current 5300 models). One 5100 toothbrush is 2 years old and still going strong. The other identical model is 15 months old and has just gone faulty (the metal stem that the brush head attaches to has gone all loose and it makes a very loud vibration noise when turned on). Not wanting to spend £60-£90 on another one for it to potentially go faulty again, I got this 4100 toothbrush. Fully aware that I was sacrificing an extra button and a few functions - which to be honest, they were functions that we NEVER used since the first couple of days of getting them. But everything else, we expected to be fairly itendical. Nope - This 4100 toothbrush is noticeably smaller than what we were used to. It's 15mm shorter and 5mm slimmer than the 5100/5300 series. Like I said, not an issue if this is your first Philips electric toothbrush, but if you're 'downgrading' from a higher series, you're going to really notice the size difference - which you might think is a good thing, but it comes with a handicap of a smaller battery. This 4100 model lasts a max of 14 days between charges, whereas the 5100/5300 series lasts 21 days. The size difference also means that it also won't fit inside our previous Philips travel case (that we believed was universal to the Sonicare range) - it just rattles around inside. AND more importantly, this toothbrush is too small to fit our wall mounted toothbrush clip holder (that have perfect for all other toothbrushes we've ownded! Something that had the dimensions between models been advertised, we would have selected an alternative. The only universal elements between the Sonicare series models are the brush heads themselves and the charging bases.

These are a lot smaller than the old models but seems so far as good as the last model it replaces.
I have spent a lot more money years ago for the more expensive models for them to only fail just after the product warranty runs out. So I got a cheaper model which lasted years longer but unfortunately this eventually only ran on the soft mode. Because the last model lasted so long I looked again at Phillips Sonicare again but wanted the pressure sensor which changes the tone if you push too hard. This Model Phillips Sonicare 4100 is a good balance hopefully for long term function only time will tell. My main observation so far is that these newer models are a lot smaller than the older models. The charging cable is USB so as long you have a old phone charger it will charge make sure you have a spare charger I'm using a old Samsung charger low output. The model it self I think is a good compromise for form and function for a good price.

A good basic toothbrush
A good basic electric toothbrush. The price was good. Hope it lasts as long as the last 1. Would buy again.

Effective toothbrush, good for sensitive or bleeding gums.
I've been using a oral B oscillating toothbrush for years, but have recently been getting bleeding gums - thought I'd try a sonic brush. Am very pleased with it, I'm not an expert, but it does clean teeth effectively and my teeth do feel cleaner than with the oscillating brush. Most importantly for me - no more bleeding gums! (pressure sensor on the brush warns me if I'm pressing to hard). I also like the timer which lets me know how long to spend brushing each section of teeth.

Increíble! Limpieza grado profesional

Not as weak as they say
This is my 1st electric toothbrush. I ordered it over the oral b smart 1500 because it's cheaper and I found more people who swear by it than oral b. Later on, I read comments where people who have this 4100 for 10+ years say that the newer 2021 version has only half the power of the old version. Someone on reddit showed images of the inside of the new and old versions and the new version has a small plastic toy-like motor, while the old version has a big copper-wrapped motor and an old version user said "now I understand why the new version is lighter and less powerful". I was disappointed on the new version and tried to cancel the order but I couldn't. Once it came, I decided to try it and to my surprise, it brushes my teeth way better than my manual soft-bristled and hard-bristled toothbrushes(I use both manual brushes daily compared to my daily usage of the electric toothbrush 4100 C2 head of medium bristles. If you have gum sensitive issue, buy the S sensitive or G2 optimal brush head. If you want hard-bristled, buy W diamondclean brush head). I don't know how good the old version was but this newer version definitely brushes better than any manual toothbrush unfortunately it doesn't not come with a travel case. Update 5/16/2024: I bought the Oral B smart 1500 because it was on sale and I wanted to see how better it is compared to the sonicare. The oral B package looks nicer and bigger than the Sonicare but upon opening the smart 1500 package, I saw hair all over the toothbrush. I did read many customers saying on reddit that their Oral b toothbrush were repackaged, but I can't believe I'm a victim of this nastiness. It also took 2 weeks to reach me from Hawaii and since it says "made in China", I think the seller is located in China. I'll return this and I'll advise you to buy the Sonicare instead of the oral b if you don't want to be cheated receiving a used-repackaged toothbrush. Update 05/22/2024: On 05/17/24, I bought the Oral b smart clean 360 which has exact power as the smart 1500 that I returned but the smart 360 has 5 modes and a button to change the mode while the smart 1500 has 3 modes and no button to switch between the modes. The advantage of the oral b smart clean 360 is that the brush heads cost is cheaper than the Sonicare 4100 and I find it better at whitening my teeth than the Sonicare. That's all the advantages there. The things that I don't like with it are many, so I'm just going to name the most annoying ones: 1) The brush heads are too big compared to the Sonicare(see picture): Putting Oral b brush heads in my mouth is like putting a golf ball in my mouth(my head and mouth are wider than the average US male). 2) The brush heads have holes(see pictures) that trap saliva+toothpaste and creates more noise when the brush handle needle rotates in the presence of the liquid mixture, and moisture will be also trapped easily in the holes(most customers complain about Oral b brush heads design. Oral b corrected the needle issue with the IO version but the IO introduced a shallow hole which now traps moisture in the brush handle). When I'm using the Oral b with no choice but to have my mouth wide-open, it forces my mouth to produce more saliva which gets mixed with the toothpaste and enters the brush head and creates more noise. 3) Rattling noise: The Oral b smart clean 360 isn't as noisy as people say. It's the quality of the noise the problem. It's a very unpleasant rattling noise as if you're hearing an old car engine with broken parts in it. That noise gets worse when liquid enters the brush head holes. 4) The charger is not round like a perfect circle: You must put the Oral b brush handle in a specific position to charge it and if you place it wrong, it'll fall and might break. 5) The Daily Clean mode is rough and combined with the big brush head the experience is bad, but the smart clean 360 has more mode which make it smoother and better than the smart 1500 but not as good as the Sonicare 4100. 6)It has no auto-stop mode: You keep brushing without knowing how long you have been brushing your teeth. To summarize, the oral b non-IO brush heads are cheap but very badly designed for a pleasant toothbrushing. I won't recommend it if you're shorter than 6 foot tall or have a small mouth.

Really recommended by dentists
Recommended to me by multiple dentists. This has now replaced my more expensive toothbrush. I’d buy another one of these should it break or to put at office. This model doesn’t come with travel case to charge but the stand can be charged with USB which is useful.
