Wow how lovely the smell and the colour has boosted my black hair this is great value and it doesn’t stain if you use a scrunchie to shower the dye of your arms and rub the shampoo jnto the scalp as your rinsing it as it removes the stain of the scalp and hairline (ex hairdresser) I will be using this again so easy to apply and much less hassle than dying it!

I was a bit skeptical because of what it was and the price but works amazingly well! Ive been dying my hair black for 17 years and ive tried near enough every black hair dye there is but this leaves hair so shiny and soft and the colour is jet jet black and leaves no forehead/neck/ear stains at all! Will definitely buy again and again!

Polar Haircare is my usual brand but is no longer for sale in the UK, so I was forced to look for an alternative, and I went for this one as it had the best reviews and price. My review is a comparison between the two, for anyone in the same situation. This product is much runnier than Polar (hence knocking off one star), so I'd advise anyone using this for the first time to be careful! Pump a very small amount at a time, wear gloves, and cover EVERYTHING as it WILL stain the sink, your clothes, skin etc.. It also foams up more than Polar, so be prepared for that. My hair is a very dark brown (almost black) and I use dye shampoo to cover my greys. Polar's dark brown shade was very reddish so I used to use the black shade, but I always found it a bit too dark (more like a jet black rather than natural black). However, I tried the dark brown shade of this product and it's PERFECT, exactly as it's shown on the packaging! Not reddish at all and, unlike Polar, is very natural looking with good coverage. The only downside of this shampoo is the smell; it's a very eggy sulphuric smell, but once I got used to it it didn't really bother me. It does smell nice and coconutty after washing off though, which makes up for it! It also left my hair nice and soft, shiny and in good condition. Overall, when comparing the two, this one is definitely better than the more expensive Polar brand, so I'm happy I've found it, and will carry on using it!

I was skeptical about this due to the price but it is fab. It is easy to use to colour hair ( even grey) and does not leave anywhere near the amount of staining as regular box dyes. You just put a few squirts onto dry hair (no mixing 2 bottles) , work it through and rinse off after 20 mins. I purchased the branded version Polar prior to this and this one is better and a fraction of the price. The colour of this version is more natural black, whereas the Polar black came out brown on me. I also found I had a bit of a stinging sensation on the Polar version but I didn’t get it with this version.

I wasn’t too impressed with this product. I have used other brands that perform slightly better. I bought this with expectations for an improvement due to the reviews. However it didn’t cover as much grey hair as I expected

I thought I could buy a cheaper version of the polar range of hair dye shampoo, but I didn’t like it. It hardly died my hair and it made my scalp itch.

Amazing product with great results! I found it to be a little runny and did not foam up like advertised but the fact you rub it in like a shampoo I absolutely love! I am a black hair dye girl and I can honestly say no more box dyes for me! I have full coverage and it covered all my white hairs! I’d highly recommend!

This hair dye shampoo works extremely well, especially for covering stubborn grays. The application process is simple, but following the directions closely makes a big difference in your results—definitely use it on dry hair as recommended. For resistant gray areas, I suggest leaving it on for the full maximum time to achieve the best coverage. The color payoff is rich and even, and in my experience, it lasts up to about three weeks with regular (weekly) washes. A little caution: this product does stain easily, so be careful during application and wipe up any spills quickly. If you do get it on your skin, witch hazel works effectively to remove the stains. Overall, this is a reliable, easy-to-use option for at-home coloring. I’ve already purchased it twice and will continue to repurchase. Highly recommend for anyone needing quick, effective gray coverage.

I will be buying this hair shampoo from now on, it really works, easy to use and it didn't require much. Had no bad odor, didn't irritate my scalp and lasts for weeks! I have bought another color since and will be recommending this shampoo dye to all my family and friends. No more regular hair dye/color for me. Very pleased with this product!

I was not sure about using this but I finally gave it a try. The color I chose was dark brown. It is very dark brown which is fine as it is my natural color. The process was very easy and fast. Just keep an eye out for any drips onto surfaces or your skin. I found two drips on my leg and foot that were almost impossible to remove once they sat there for a few minutes. Keep a soapy washcloth nearby to wipe your face and ears as you apply it so that it does not sit for too long. I left it for 20 minutes and then I did a deep conditioner for 15 minutes. Once I blow-dried my hair the color looks amazing and the shine is very nice. The hair looks healthy. It did not have a strong odor as store-bought products do and my hair feels very soft. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is because of the staining that they should warn you about so that you don't leave it on your skin too long. Also because mine did not foam the way they show it in the pictures here. It was a light foaming but not the way they show it. I will probably continue using this depending on how fast it washes out.

Love the product I been using it for years. It covers the grey hair. Leave my hair shiny. Don’t have a bad smell.

Loved this product. The shampoo colored my hair in its entirety, even my edges. I recommended this shampoo to several of my friends, I will not gate-keep this coloring shampoo. This is my go to for coloring my hair going forward. I do want to warn you to be careful when applying the shampoo. DO NOT spill it. It will stain your counter, bathtub, wall, etc.. It’s very hard to remove the stain.
