12 Inch Cast Iron Skillet Pan (30cm) | Pre-Seasoned Heavy Duty Frying Pan for All Hobs, Oven & BBQ | Includes Silicone Handle Covers & Scraper Set

This is only the 2nd Cast Iron pan that I have had in almost 30 years, sadly the original one didn't take kindly to being dropped on a concrete floor whilst removing from a BBQ, and cracked across the base. This pan is EXCELLENT, albeit VERY VERY HEAVY, more so than my previous pan. A cast iron pan lives or dies by how well it is "seasoned", otherwise everything will stick to it. This pan came Pre-seasoned, but I still carried out 3 more seasoning cycles, and it is now virtually non stick, even eggs cook without sticking. The secret to cast iron pan cooking is "LEAVE THE CONTENTS ALONE" If you don't mess with the eggs or meat, they will unstick themselves after a minute or two. After use, wash it in warm soapy water, dry it, and then give it a very light wipe with vegetable oil on some kitchen roll. It will keep the seasoning in tip top condition, and stop it rusting between uses. Ensure you use some form of insulation on your hands when moving because cast iron is such a great conductor of heat, the handles get just as hot as the pan itself. Overall a fantastic piece of cookware which (if you don't drop it 🤦) will last you a lifetime.

Heard a lot about the benefits so I decided to give it a try. This product caught my eye because of the large size as I have a big family to cook for. The item arrived in great packaging and was already pre-seasoned which is a bonus. Also came with accessories to lift with it as cast iron can become very hot. The pan itself seems well built with a nice surface. There was also well written instructions provided to help me clean and maintain the non-stick coating of the skillet. Used it for the first time on my gas hob to make breakfast which consisted of eggs and sausages. As the pan was already pre-seasoned I chose not to add as much oil as I would normally do, and to my surprise the food turned out great. I also found I could transfer the skillet to the grill to added some added crispiness. Next, I tried using the pan as a Balti dish and made vegetable curry, this came out great as the pan was able to distribute the heat evenly across the pan, this is a great bonus for me. As I had bought this in the summer and it was BBQ season I thought I would give a bit of outdoor cooking a go. So, I fired up the BBQ and tried cooking some halloumi on the pan being on the grill again this turned out great. Overall I found this to be a fantastic product and will defiantly be adding more cast iron cookware to my arsenal.

Large pan that does well, takes a bit to get seasoning right overall v good

This is the prefect pan for everyday use. It arrived promptly and was well packed. The pan it self is heavy, durable and well made. Instructions are included with the packaging along with accessories to help me cook with the pan. Been using for cooking a variety of foods including steaks, burgers, fish, eggs, and vegetables. The wife has even made a curry on it which turned out wonderful. The pan works both on gas stove, and oven where I have made both a roasted lamb shoulder and freshly made pizza. The handle along with the silicon holder makes it ideal to lift and move. I have found thanks to help from others that the pan requires minimum oil which I am very impressed with as it helps me keep food healthy. The pan gets very hot and heated up evenly. I decided to take advantage of our recent heat wave and found that the pan works perfectly for outdoor cooking and have been using on the barbecue to make salmon which came out a nice colour and tasted great to. Maintenance for the pan is a breeze too, simply apply a bit of oil of your choice to pan with a paper towel and heat the pan till smoking. Overall very happy with purchase.

Despite doing everything that you are supposed to to cure the pan and purchasing specialist products to clean it the pan was unusable after a single use. Don't bother buying this. It's dreadful.

I’ve been umming and ahhing about getting a skillet for a while. I knew I wanted a good solid cast iron one, but there are a lot out there! I read the reviews for this, and decided that the price was good for what it promised. It was definitely the right choice for me. It’s been the most used pan since I got it. I’ve used it for steaks, for Spanish tortilla, skillet cakes and as a baking stone for bread. It’s handled all these with ease. Make sure you follow the instructions for caring for the pan and keeping it seasoned. It’s not hard, but it’s important. There’s no reason with the right care this pan won’t last a lifetime. The only gripe I have is that the silicon handle tends to slip around the handle. I’ve just stuck to using an oven glove when needed. This is a great pan, a good size, and has so far handled everything I’ve chucked at it. Very happy and viewing this as a worthwhile investment.

This is an OK pan. However it is thin which means food will bring quicker and it is relatively hard to clean. I have other cast iron pans which do it require as much love. I have treated this myself again to be sure but I just don’t think it’s great. It is large and heavy but is just too thin for me

Pas trop lourde grande et jolie ce qui n'enlève rien va durer très très longtemps bien huilée chauffée et ensuite rien n'accroche là pas de PFAS cancérigène c'est impeccable et en plus à un tarif raisonnable

Rien a dire, fait le boulot quand on sait l'utiliser. La plupart des commentaires négatifs viennent du fait que les gens ne savent pas utiliser une casserole ou poêle en fonte. Arrivé dans les temps avec tous les accessoires.
