Great for making purple sweet potato steamed buns
I used this purple sweet potato powder to make purple sweet potato steamed buns, and the result was very nice. The powder mixed well with the flour, and the color came out beautiful and natural after steaming. It gave the buns a light purple sweet potato flavor without being too strong or artificial. The texture of the buns was still soft and fluffy. Overall, I’m happy with this product and would buy it again for baking and homemade steamed buns.

I love using this powder to naturally color smoothie bowls, pancakes, and baked goods. It blends easily, has a mild taste, and packs in antioxidants. The vibrant purple hue is so fun and totally Instagram-worthy. Clean eating made colorful!

It is nutritionally better for you - but . . .
It does make your baking item taste different. Although I’m glad I purchased it, I may use only half next time and then maybe a bit of food coloring too just to keep the taste of whatever I’m making delicious and expected.

Colored food
This powder works so amazing. My sourdough turned out amazing and I had so much fun making fun colored bread. It did not change the texture of my bread or make my recipe need to be adjusted at all.

Love it!
I bought this for my lab and everybody loves using it. The color can be more of a pinkish purple without pH adjustment but it looks great. We've use it for coloring fruit leather and making soy-based inks. It's a good addition to any vegetable-powder color collection.

Great natural dye!
Bought to naturally dye some fun homemade Halloween bagels. I didn’t realize that the color for purple potato powder shifts depending on the acidity or alkalinity of your bagel dough or the water used for boiling, so the bagels went from purple to blue after the soda bath and bake. But I did use it to dye frosting for valentines cookies and it worked great! And there was no flavor or aftertaste to alter the cookies!
