Zazu Kids Sam Sleep Trainer Alarm Clock and Night Light - Pink Sheep Toy

I am very satisfied with this product. My little one adores it! She now stays longer in bed, to any preferable time I set up. This sleep trainer is recommendable for any parents that have early risers. Sam can help you explain the grown-up idea of time to your child by showing them in a very easy way when her parents will be happy to see them and when they better stay in bed a little longer! As simple as it is, Sam the sheep closes and opens his eyes, when going to bed and waking up. Easy to understand for children who are too young to tell the time. Teaching my child this routine, she adapted to this very easily. And by having an analogue and digital time display makes Sam a great tool for teaching the time too! I needed to study the instructions a bit setting up Sam for the first time and with some help of several YouTube videos I soon got the hang of it. It is also fairly robust. It has twice been heavily dropped and stopped working but taking out the batteries rebooted it and got it going again. Sam is still running on batteries after three weeks. I adjust the brightness to level one to extend the battery lifespan. Highly recommended!

Fantastic product! My 3 year old can't tell time yet and doesn't always remember numbers well anyway. He was starting to get up at 5am and come into our room. Enter Sam the Lamb, one of his new best friends! Sam stays asleep until 6:30, so if my son wakes up early Sam lets him know that he should go back to sleep, which he does. Great product with a lot of upside. Here's what I would change - the eyes make a slight "click" sound when they open, which my son has tuned in to. So now on days when he would sleep later than usual, Sam becomes his alarm clock and occasionally wakes him up before his body is ready. Also, the nap feature has only 4 time options, which would be nice to have more control over. Other than those two suggestions, this is a fantastic product, is fun for kids, and works extremely well!

Worked great, but the AC adapter died after only 4 months of use. Found my 3yo son still in his room at 8:30am, refusing to come out because his sheep's eyes were still closed. Turns out it had died in the middle of the night - the AC adapter stopped working. I fixed this by inserting batteries, and so far the batteries have lasted nearly a month without needing to be replaced, but I shouldn't have needed to put batteries in in the first place. The battery function is advertised as being for travel or as a backup power source in case of an outage. Other reviewers are complaining that the clock is hard to set up. That is by design... Make it easy enough, and your kid will soon be punching buttons and messing up your careful programming. As soon as I learned the function of the arrow combinations and had my nap time length and wake up time set, it is a simple two-step process to put the sheep to sleep for either nap time or bedtime. As far as how well it works? Magic. We were expecting baby number 2 and wanted something to keep my three year old from getting out of bed too early or taking ridiculously short naps. It is so amazing how having an external reminder to stay in bed works so well! He doesn't nap often these days, but because of this clock he still gives me 90 minutes of quiet time a day and THAT is priceless.

I purchased this clock as a night light and alarm clock for my 5 year old daughter. It is very well made and I found the instructions to be very simple, not intuitive though, but very easy. The clock is great for little ones learning to tell time since it has a digital analogue clock as well as a number respresentsti0n of the time in the center. Very easy to read. I was a little disappointed you had to manually put the lamb to sleep. I would have loved to see it close its eyes and snore! The night light functions are great, it offers different time intervals for the light to be on or a continuous mode where the light is on all the time. It has a dimmer and it is easy to adjust the right brightness preference. I like that you may touch the 'dial' and the light goes on even if you have the night light features off, so you may see time in the dark whenever you need to. The alarm features have three cute tones, one is a sheep, another are birds and the last more of a typical alarm sound. You are also able to ajust for volume preferences. The eyes open and you are able to set how long after you would like the alarm to go off or at the same time. All the controls have a lock to prevent little hands from changing the setting. Good feature! Over all, this is a very cute clock that will wake you up with a smile on your face!

Our daughter loved this sheep and so did we, but honestly after two or three nights of using it successfully and her only just getting to grips with it, there would always be some sort of malfunction or another and the whole issue would get confused. The latest glitch was Sam stuck on Orange and repeatedly going baa baa baa. It was quite comical, but highly disappointing. The controls all froze and I could only get it to stop by taking the batteries out. With a young child, I didn’t find the time to request a refund until it was too late. I was also convinced I must be doing something wrong with the controls, but now I’m quite sure they are just difficult to use and I think our sheep has always had a technical glitch.

Our two year old son now waits in his room until his Sam the Sheep has opened his eyes! Something like this never happened before, especially not in the weekends. We set the wake up time for Sam together every night. Putting Sam to sleep became a kind of before bed time ritual, and my kid cannot longer do without. My kid just loves his adorable Sheep shaped clock and especially the fact that he wakes up by the baaaa-ing sound. Not only is Sam great for the mornings, he is also perfect for afternoon rests. The naptimer is a great additional function! The function of the green light to signal 'nearly time to get up' is very useful. This indicates that there are only 30 minutes remaining before Sam will open his eyes. My kid likes to keep track of the remaining time by counting the stars that will disappear during that time. In fact, Sam has a proper clock, which I hope in time, will become a learning aid. The instructions that come with the clock are easy to follow. Sleep trainer Sam has four simple buttons that makes the clock very easy to set up. Sam runs on batteries and comes with a charger. I use to plug in Sam ones in a while, and it is still running after a month. Works exactly as I hoped it would!

I really like this clock and the premise behind it. It is a little confusing to set up but with a few false starts I managed to get it up and running for my grandson who will be 3 in June. He is typically a great sleeper, goes down just fine but sometimes he will wake a little early. He totally got the concept and the first morning I could here him talking to Shawn ( the sheep) "open eyes, open eyes" when they opened he started yelling "I'm up!" I would suggest maybe the eyes actually have some background light to make it easier to see. He does not use a night light so I have that turned off so it is a little hard to distinguish in his room. Apart from that it's a great product and I suspect it will last him many years. Update- we have had this for a couple of weeks now and it is fantastic!!! Cannot recommend it enough. My Grandson is under the spell of Shawn. Still wish the eyes light up but it works amazingly well. He waits if he is awake until Shawn's eyes are open :)

I've been using this with my toddler since August 2017. Since its arrival it has been full of glitches. Resetting it has not resolved any of the glitches. The most irritating is that the yellow "almost time" light comes on some days and not others. The inconsistency has resulted in a lot of confusion for my toddler because sometimes at 6:53 a.m. it is yellow, and sometimes still red. If the yellow light is working, he'll wait for the green light to declare "wake up time!" and ask to go "downstairs!" If the yellow light is not working, he sees the red light and loses patience because he has no idea if the green light is even close to coming on, so he ignores the whole thing. If this would work consistently it might actually help "train" him. The AM/PM time format refuses to stay set. It switches itself back to 24-hour mode every day. Annoying only for me, since a toddler doesn't know. When the back light timer is set to anything other than "continuous", results vary. Sometimes it goes according to its programming and sometimes it just picks a random amount of time to stay lit - 30 seconds instead of 5 minutes, for example. Aesthetically, it's one of the cutest okay-to-wake clocks on the market, but a soft or plush animal would be even better. The opening and closing eyes are a big hit with my toddler. But, as other reviewers have noted, they make a loud "CLUNK" when opening in the morning, so if your child would've slept a little later, they'll be woken anyway. The eyes are robust enough that a toddler trying to hold/force them open or closed does not break them. They just snap back to where they should be after the child lets go. If they could resolve the programming glitches it would be a 3 star product. If they could resolve the programming glitches and create a quieter mechanism for the eyes opening, it would be a 4 star product. If they gave the sheep a plush/soft fabric cover and fluffy/woolly curls on top the head instead of hard molded plastic, it would be a true 5 star product. For $50 I would expect a product to at least work as designed.

This was amazing and really helped my son when it worked. It was never dropped or mishandled. It stopped opening and closing its eyes.. I figured maybe it was the batteries. I changed the batteries 3 times and the clock just would never work properly. Was very disappointing as this was a great help to my sons sleepless nights.

Fonctionne à pile ou avec câble. Pas hyper simple à programmer, mais avec le manuel pour les premières fois, ça va bien. L'appareil fonctionne parfaitement selon mes attentes.

Prezzo alto e qualità scarsa: non resta accesa solo con le pile ma deve essere attaccata al cavo di corrente, se staccata dalla corrente bisogna sempre reimpostare tutto, l'orologio resta indietro di parecchi minuti. Non vale assolutamente i soldi spesi!

Grâce à Sam, notre enfant a un repère clair de quand il l'heure de se coucher ou de quand il peut sortir de son lit quand il se réveille avant nous. Il l'a adopté tout de suite. Quelques mois plus tard il s'est mis à dire qu'il en avait peur le matin, mais ça a duré quelques semaines seulement.
