Phenomenal Sleep Tracking Tool
I got this Oura ring for my wife for Christmas this past year and she loves it as well as the rose gold color. It's a very good way to take control of your sleep and improve sleep quality. The ring tracks your sleep down to the minute, is crazy accurate, and works with an app that, once installed, works offline and connects to the ring through Bluetooth. Every morning you can get a full breakdown on the app of your sleep pattern for the night including sleep stages (light, REM, deep), heart rate, heart rate variability, body temperature, respiratory rate, total sleep vs time in bed, your sleep efficiency, your "body clock" and even "sleep debt" (which tracks how much sleep you're getting vs how much you need for your body type). It also tracks the menstrual cycle for women, which my wife uses and likes a lot. She's been able to figure out a pattern based on her heart rate that happens the day before her period actually starts, which works every time - super cool! Of course it does other things like tracks your steps, exercise, you can log your meals etc. Too many things for me to include in this review. The ring fits my wife's finger perfectly. Before you buy you have to purchase the ring sizing kit, which is cheap, and you can use it for friends if you refer people (which you can get awarded for monetarily). The sizing is pretty easy, wear one of the sizers for a day and make sure it's comfortable and then order your ring. I've also seen the ring sizing kits on display in places like Costco or Best Buy, so that's another option without having to buy the kit. The battery lasts about a week, which is pretty good. And it charges in less than an hour, sometimes half an hour if she's charging it more regularly than a week (which your supposed to do). My own Oura Ring 4 is over a year old and I have to charge it every 2-3 days. I admit, I did not follow their recommendations for maintaining the best battery life, so can't complain there. Overall, Oura Ring is fantastic and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. My wife and I have both been able to improve our overall sleep quality since using them. They are a very good tool for that if you want to prioritize sleep in relation to health (which anyone should).

I love it!
I don't like wearing wrist watches, so having a smart ring is PERFECT for me! I love how durable it is, it's easy to clean, and the app that comes with it is GREAT! The tracking on this thing is flawless and it uses light sensors to track my vitals, so it doesn't even feel like a smart device, just a regular ring! It also charges very quickly, so if I'm using the bathroom or taking a shower at home, I just pop it on the charger for 10-15 minutes and it's good for a few days! I only do it daily just to establish a good routine, and I have forgotten before and let the battery get low, but still haven't had the power die on me yet! I can see it being an issue for lifting weights since it's coated in stainless still and a little bulky, but otherwise very comfortable for other forms of exercise! I can also see it being a problem because of the red and green light sensors at night, it might be disruptive to light sleepers in a dark room, but I just keep my hands under my blankets or pillows, and I sleep just fine! It doesn't light up all the time, just periodically throughout the night. If the tiny lights at night might bother you, you can probably put a thick sock or a glove over your hand at night to block the light. I'm personally not inconvenienced by it at night, and I like that I can't feel anything when it checks my vitals (heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, just to name a few). I wound up subscribing to the app anually because I really liked how easy it was to set up and how thorough its analysis was for my overall health. UPDATE: Recently I noticed the ring was draining too fast between charges and I actually needed to charge it everyday! I reached out to customer service via the app, they asked a few questions, and shipped me another one immediately! It was refurbished, not brand new, but it works like new and I would never have known the difference if they didn't tell me! I keep the old one as a backup just in case since they said I don't need to send it back. I basically haven't stopped wearing the Oura ring since I put it on, and I've used it on long walks, swimming (fully submerged in water), and for general daily activities and it works great! I wash it with soap and water when I wash my hands and take it off to give it an.wxtra good wipe down before popping it on the charger or putting it back on!

Read this review if you are considering the Oura ring!
Let me start by saying I REALLY wanted to like this ring! I wouldn’t have spent so much money on it if I wasn’t all in! My first disappointment came from, just learning/realizing that the ring did not have the functionality that, I had understood it to have. Does it track your heart rate? Mmmmm… sort of. If you are hoping for it to track your heart rate while you are exercising, you are going to be sorely disappointed. It does heart rate readings every 10 to 30 minutes. No matter what you’re doing. That is one reading every 10 to 30 minutes… Which by the way you have no control of so it might be 10, it might be . So if you’re hoping to capture your peak heart rate while you are exercising, good luck. There is a function where you can record your workout and, I thought maybe that would be a workaround but no, all that really does is, record your path with GPS tracking to give you a visual of the route you took. And it’ll take a couple heart rate readings but, again, not at any meaningful regular interval while you are exercising. There is a manual function to check your heart rate which, has to be selected in the app and then it asks you to stay still for 30 seconds so that it can take your heart rate… And again, if you’re exercising, and you want your heart rate being tracked, you can’t stop everything and pull out your phone every few minutes to force it to take a reading. And, don’t forget, to also stop and be still so that it can take the reading.🤦♀️ Does it detect when you are stressed? One of the features this ring boasts is, tracking your stress. Supposedly, your body gives off particular signals when you are stressed and, the App puts a lot of focus on the amount of stress that you’ve had during your day. The problem is, it’s wildly inaccurate. It goes further to say that, eating, exercising, or doing things you enjoy can all give off those same signals as stress lol so, it’s not really a very useful metric for anything IMO. It will say I am stressed when I am eating, when I am exercising, but even when I am doing something relaxing and enjoyable like, in my garden interestingly enough, it has correctly detected a few times that I got particular news that sent my stress levels way up. It did pick those up. But, again, how useful is it if, it picks up so much of everything else as stress also 😆 I mean unless you are just a slug and lay around all day, it’s going to report that you had stress throughout the day 🤷♀️ And how about that subscription? Does the ring give basic metrics without the subscription? No. Big fat no. This is my biggest problem with this ring. I didn’t know if I felt like that the subscription would be valuable enough to me so I made sure before I purchased it that, if I didn’t want the extras of the subscription that the ring would still continue to track the most basic things like, step count. And, it reports that it does do that. HOWEVER, what they fail to mention is that, they don’t make that data available for you to see anywhere anymore lol and, it no longer updates Apple health or whatever other app you are integrating in with. So, it does NOTHING without the subscription. The only thing it will do is give you these silly readiness scores for your day. If it feels like you got a good nights sleep then it will give you a good readiness score for the day and a good sleep score. But you will see absolutely none of the data that went into building that score. No more steps, no more heart rate, no more anything. That’s IT. You can buy a ring for a fraction of the price that gives you all way more functionality, WITHOUT a Subscription. The way they make it sound before you purchase is that the subscription gives you a lot of extras. And I was willing to pay that if I felt like those extras were really valuable but because the data is so wildly inaccurate, I didn’t feel like it was particularly valuable what I thought I was getting as an “extra” From the subscription. Had I known it wouldn’t do the most basic thing to count steps without a subscription, and actually show them to me either in the app or by writing them to Apple health, I would have never purchased this ring. You’ve been warned! Good luck!

1 Month Post Purchase Review
Overall, I love it. I’m gonna break down my review as to why I love it and based on what you’re looking for in a smart ring to determine if this is a good fit for you. First, appearance. It doesn’t look masculine and is fairly scratch resistant. With any jewelry, you’re going to have a little scratching on the underside if you do anything with your hands. There’s plenty of protection options if that’s something you want to look into, but honestly I’ve had minimal scratching and it doesn’t bother me. It fit closer to my actual ring size, but you need to get sized to figure out your actual size. Oura offers a $10 you can order, but I personally just went to Best Buy and got my size off the display there. I believe Target also has sizers in the Oura display. But you do need to get fitted to know if the sensors are at an optimal location for best readings. Next category is App Quality. I really like the app and the reliability of the data it provides. I am not a super intense workout person, so it is perfect for my low impact workouts. I’ve heard people say it doesn’t provide accurate HR readings in higher intensity workouts, I see some improvement for that as you can have it track live HR data. I know a lot of people complain about the subscription and I just want to clarify that because I looked at that myself. The annual subscription is $69.99, monthly is $5.99. You can use the tracker without a subscription, however it gives you very basic data feedback. It tracks the basics, but does not give you pointers for improvement or how to better your scores. With the subscription, you’re not only paying for the insights, but you’re also paying for the access to Oura Advisor, the AI integration that can give even further insights to the data you have logged in app and the feature to simply take a photo of a meal for meal logging. Women’s Health: I personally like it. I have used Apple Health for many many years so it’s my primary for reliability in start dates, but I like the detailed data with Oura. I think with further use of the Oura I might 100% convert to it but for now I can’t decide which I like better. Given my current medical, this is a fantastic tool for me. Tags has been the best way for me to tie symptoms to more probable causes rather than wondering and guessing or assuming. I was most drawn to that feature, but you have to remember to add the tags for it to be most effective. If simple tracking without a bulky smartwatch is more what you’re looking for, this will definitely do that for you but cheaper alternatives can do the same if you’re looking to save some money. If you have more complex medical and want the data insights to your health and be more in tune with your body, you want the Oura ring with a subscription. The good news is that you can actually use an FSA / HSA for both the ring and the subscription. Mine gave me almost no trouble as far as documentation when I purchased them.

Excellent Support
I have had my Oura ring since August 2025 and it has provided great insight to my health and fitness. I love data and the ring provides plenty of it! In the last week, it has been losing battery life quickly and I've been experiencing connection problems. I contacted Oura and via their AI support, my issue was addressed immediately with a confirmation that they would ship me a new ring. Excellent support along with a great product!

Smart ring useful for tracking some health stats, but many you may already have on your phone.
This version of the Oura works OK, but I probably won't renew my subscription. I purchased this mostly to track my sleep. I'm not a runner or much of an athlete these days, and all of my exercise tracking can be handled by my phone and watch for the most part, but they need to be re-charged daily, so I can't really track my sleep unless I want to carry around multiple chargers. I thought the ring would solve this issue, and for the most part it does. Sleep tracking is accurate for the most part, but since I frequently nap or have my sleep interrupted by life, the ring doesn't always pick up on my catnaps or understand that I went back to sleep later in the night. My main issue with the ring is the comfort. The ring sizer said I was size 11, but the sizer and the ring are not made of the same material, so I would recommend getting a half size larger, if that were possible. The ring is also thicker than many rings so I find it annoying between my fingers. I rarely forget that it's there, and I frequently find myself fiddling with it during the day. Setting up the charger is needlessly finicky in my opinion, since you have to line up the dimple with the light on the charger or nothing happens. Fortunately the LED lights up when you get it right, but it's slightly delayed. This is a minor issue, since you get used to the process soon enough. I really despise proprietary chargers. My other complaint is the lack of notification about the battery level. I think twice I went a couple of days with a ring that had no charge and didn't notice it, so I lost those days' data. Maybe this is a me issue and not an Oura issue, so I may have to look into changing the settings somewhere. This would be a better product with a longer battery life and a thinner band. It does track my sleep well enough, but it seems like a lot to pay for the subscription if that's the only feature I'm using. Another issue is one I had with a smart band I had previously and returned. You have to look at your phone to find out anything, and once you're on your phone you have all the other distractions at hand. If the lights on the inside of the ring could be used for information, this might be a better choice for me.

Sleek, Comfortable, and Absolutely Worth It!
I’m honestly obsessed with my Oura Ring Gen 4 in silver. It’s sleek, lightweight, and fits comfortably without feeling bulky. I initially ordered a size 8, but it was too big, so I exchanged it for a size 7 and it fits perfectly. The durability seems great so far and it’s holding up really well with daily wear. It was very easy to set up, and the app made everything simple and straightforward. I’m right-handed, so I usually wear it on my left hand as recommended, but I can switch it to my right depending on what jewelry I’m wearing that day, which adds nice versatility. The tracking is impressive. My sleep insights feel accurate, and I’ve become more aware of how my rest impacts my energy and stress. Battery life is great, and it charges quickly, so I’m never without it for long. You do need the app and a small monthly membership, but overall it feels like a good value for the money. Highly recommend.

Read this first and Think twice before buying this ring…
I bought this ring mid-February 2025 along with the extended warranty. I just received my second replacement yesterday (end of November 2025). I really wanted to give it a 5 stars, but I cannot. I can’t comprehend why Oura Ring 4 has so many issues. I only use it for sleep and wear it during the day. I do not take a shower with it, nor do I wash dishes with it either. Seriously, I just received my 3rd ring in 9 months. The other 2 are useless (not connecting to the smart phone, not charging) that is why I contacted the help center of Oura Ring. I have to say that Customer Service is Amazing at Oura: they are quick to reply, analyze and provide a replacement after they checked if you are eligible. My 2 replacements rings arrived straight from the Netherlands in about a week later after their shipping date. I bought this ring to track my sleep patterns and heart rate, etc. When the ring works it is great and the app that goes with it is wonderful with clear stats. I just ended up buying another smart device to help me check my sleep patterns, etc. It is one of those things that I was so excited to have this ring until it failed, not just once, but twice. I would not recommend it now that I needed a second replacement. 3rd time might be the charm, I might not know much how long it will work as I plan to compare the results of the new ring and my other smart device by wearing them at the same time for couple nights. After that, the Oura ring will be in its box. I hate to give hard review, but this is my experience and I wanted to let you know about it and let you decide if it is something worth trying or not.
