I love it!
I don't like wearing wrist watches, so having a smart ring is PERFECT for me! I love how durable it is, it's easy to clean, and the app that comes with it is GREAT! The tracking on this thing is flawless and it uses light sensors to track my vitals, so it doesn't even feel like a smart device, just a regular ring! It also charges very quickly, so if I'm using the bathroom or taking a shower at home, I just pop it on the charger for 10-15 minutes and it's good for a few days! I only do it daily just to establish a good routine, and I have forgotten before and let the battery get low, but still haven't had the power die on me yet! I can see it being an issue for lifting weights since it's coated in stainless still and a little bulky, but otherwise very comfortable for other forms of exercise! I can also see it being a problem because of the red and green light sensors at night, it might be disruptive to light sleepers in a dark room, but I just keep my hands under my blankets or pillows, and I sleep just fine! It doesn't light up all the time, just periodically throughout the night. If the tiny lights at night might bother you, you can probably put a thick sock or a glove over your hand at night to block the light. I'm personally not inconvenienced by it at night, and I like that I can't feel anything when it checks my vitals (heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, just to name a few). I wound up subscribing to the app anually because I really liked how easy it was to set up and how thorough its analysis was for my overall health. UPDATE: Recently I noticed the ring was draining too fast between charges and I actually needed to charge it everyday! I reached out to customer service via the app, they asked a few questions, and shipped me another one immediately! It was refurbished, not brand new, but it works like new and I would never have known the difference if they didn't tell me! I keep the old one as a backup just in case since they said I don't need to send it back. I basically haven't stopped wearing the Oura ring since I put it on, and I've used it on long walks, swimming (fully submerged in water), and for general daily activities and it works great! I wash it with soap and water when I wash my hands and take it off to give it an.wxtra good wipe down before popping it on the charger or putting it back on!

Accurate tracking and great quality smart ring
I’ve been using the Oura Ring 4 daily, and I’m very impressed with its design and functionality. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear all day, and doesn’t feel bulky at all. The health tracking features are very detailed, especially sleep and activity insights, which have helped me better understand my daily habits. The app is easy to use and provides clear information. The finish in gold looks elegant and high quality. One important thing is to make sure to measure your size correctly before purchasing, as the fit is very important for comfort and accuracy. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this smart ring and would definitely recommend it for anyone interested in health tracking in a minimal and stylish form.

Amazing data collection… but a very steep price and short life.
Note: This is a long term review, after owning the ring for 10 months. It disappoints me to have to give this a 1 star review, because when the ring works, it works. It’s very convenient, accurate, un-intrusive to wear, and gives you a ton of valuable data, especially related to your cardiovascular system. But, out of the blue about 10 months into my ownership, battery life has cratered, and even when it doesn’t run fully discharged, it has randomly started disconnecting, meaning it’s not harvesting the data that I expect and want it to, and even worse, without full days of data, it won’t build any trends, meaning the limited data it does collect is useless. Reading online it seems I am not the only person experiencing this disappointment. Oura’s customer service is non existent. I have yet to figure out how to get in contact with a human there. All their customer service is routed through “Finn” their AI assistant. After trying everything that “Finn” has recommended numerous times, and getting nowhere, it would be an understatement to say I am frustrated. One of “Finn’s” suggestions is to fully wipe the ring and app from your phone and reinstall it, and if that doesn’t work, the implication from the system is that it will then elevate it to a customer service rep. The issue with that is when you do that, a hard reset and reinstall, the record with “Finn” also seems to go with it, so the system will never engage a human, it comes across almost like it’s intentional firewall in their service. I am coming up on my 1 year membership renewal. I am at the point where I need to decide if I need to make the $72 annual investment again. I would gladly spend that again, but I’m not really looking at a $72 investment. Given my current ring performance, this means buying another ring. Between the membership and a new ring, with taxes, shipping, etc, etc, etc that’s a near $500 investment; and since it only made it 10 months, that really means it’s effectively closer to $600 a year. Battery powered wearables have a limited life; I went into this understanding that, but, I don’t think that after less than a year of usage, going from ~5 days of battery life and collecting non-stop data to less than 24 hours of life with random crashes is in any way acceptable. Apple or Garmin or Google would have mass recalls or replacements on their hands if their wearables behaved like this. Good health is priceless. The ring helped me tremendously in my fitness journey. I have lost over 65 lbs with its help. At this point, however, given I have hit and am maintaining my weight goal, and from my current experience as well as based on what I read from others online, I refuse to spend any more money with Oura, simply because of their poor customer service and poor product life. My final thoughts: the ring makes your fitness journey significantly easier. Data is king when you’re committed to self improvement. For that, I give it 5 stars; but if you buy one, understand that it most likely will not make it to a year without some sort of collection or battery issue. You have to decide for yourself if $500 for 10-ish months of data is a fair price to pay.

Phenomenal Sleep Tracking Tool
I got this Oura ring for my wife for Christmas this past year and she loves it as well as the rose gold color. It's a very good way to take control of your sleep and improve sleep quality. The ring tracks your sleep down to the minute, is crazy accurate, and works with an app that, once installed, works offline and connects to the ring through Bluetooth. Every morning you can get a full breakdown on the app of your sleep pattern for the night including sleep stages (light, REM, deep), heart rate, heart rate variability, body temperature, respiratory rate, total sleep vs time in bed, your sleep efficiency, your "body clock" and even "sleep debt" (which tracks how much sleep you're getting vs how much you need for your body type). It also tracks the menstrual cycle for women, which my wife uses and likes a lot. She's been able to figure out a pattern based on her heart rate that happens the day before her period actually starts, which works every time - super cool! Of course it does other things like tracks your steps, exercise, you can log your meals etc. Too many things for me to include in this review. The ring fits my wife's finger perfectly. Before you buy you have to purchase the ring sizing kit, which is cheap, and you can use it for friends if you refer people (which you can get awarded for monetarily). The sizing is pretty easy, wear one of the sizers for a day and make sure it's comfortable and then order your ring. I've also seen the ring sizing kits on display in places like Costco or Best Buy, so that's another option without having to buy the kit. The battery lasts about a week, which is pretty good. And it charges in less than an hour, sometimes half an hour if she's charging it more regularly than a week (which your supposed to do). My own Oura Ring 4 is over a year old and I have to charge it every 2-3 days. I admit, I did not follow their recommendations for maintaining the best battery life, so can't complain there. Overall, Oura Ring is fantastic and I'd highly recommend it to anyone. My wife and I have both been able to improve our overall sleep quality since using them. They are a very good tool for that if you want to prioritize sleep in relation to health (which anyone should).

Quite useful, despite some quirks
I bought the Oura 4 primarily to analyze my sleep, but I have ended up wearing it all day. I have an apple watch ultra that is fine for daytime activities. I thought the Oura would be better for analyzing sleep because it has the SpO2 sensors for oxygenation, and the battery lasts much longer after a charge than the apple watch. The information it gives me about the quality of my sleep is better than I expected, and I now have a better understanding of what my issues may be at night. It shows you when your oxygen levels varied during the night, which is useful, but one of its quirks is that it doesn't show you the actual timeline of blood oxygen values. I would really like to see the actual values and not just the periods of variability in a timeline. It does give the average value during sleep, and it seems to think my sleep is ok, which reassures me that I probably don't have sleep apnea. Also, I wore both my apple watch and the Oura for two nights, and they gave significantly different values for the total time awake during the night. From my own memories of waking up, the Oura seemed to be more accurate. Also, I came across a research study (paid by Oura) that compared it to the apple watch, and it claimed that the Oura was more accurate for judging time awake. My biggest surprise was today, when the Oura app told me that I was essentially under the weather and I should rest today. In fact, I haven't felt very well since yesterday. It was amazing to me that the Oura determined that. It said my nighttime temperature was elevated and my breathing rate higher than usual. But, in another quirk, it did not actually give me the numbers to back up these conclusions. Did Oura think I could not handle the truth? :) Oura likes to give general conclusions, like your activity levels are fine, your sleep was fine, etc, but it seems like it tries to avoid giving you all the raw data in some cases. I found that very annoying at first, but I am getting used to it. It does give you a time line of activity and HR. I have only had the Oura for a week, and the app has mentioned that it is establishing my baseline for the first couple of weeks. I assume that once the baseline is established, it will be able to tell me whenever I fall outside my usual range on different measures. That should be very useful. I didn't expect to like the Oura ring as much as I do, because I thought it might not provide much more information than my apple watch. But it actually does, at least during sleep. When I think I may be coming down with a bug, it is reassuring to know when the Oura thinks so too. It is also nice that I don't have to recharge it for several days. The Oura cannot replace an apple watch, of course, because it does not display messages and does not have access to apps that I use. The best of all worlds is to have both.

Great data, once you're past the paywall. Battery degrades FAST, but warranty support is great
This has transformed how I view and evaluate my personal health. I love the form factor - I rarely notice its presence, and it lets me wear a regular watch instead of having to always sport around a smartwatch. Battery life was great when I first got it, but after less than a year it only lasts about a day and a half. I like the stealth finish, but BE WARNED: the DLC coating WILL scratch the life out of any glossy surface you use - including your phone screen. ESPECIALLY your phone screen. Wearing this and carrying a phone without a screen protector is a recipe for disaster. Setup was effortless, despite receiving a previously-paired (used) item. The factory reset was easy enough but I wish I had known ahead of time that I was receiving a used product. As I mentioned, the battery longevity leaves quite a bit to be desired. Brand new, I could easily get a week out of it. 10 months later? recharge notifications every other day. Fortunately, all I had to do was go to the AI chatbot on Oura's site, tell it my ring battery sucked, and it pulled the battery health from my account logs. It saw that the battery was draining fast and immediately asked for my address for the replacement. Didn't have to talk to a single person. So big kudos for that. Also, this WILL 100% guaranteed get scratched, no matter what finish you end up with. In reality, the first few scratches will bother you because it's your shiny new expensive health toy, but after a few weeks you stop caring. even scratched to the heavens and back, it doesn't look terrible. One other benefit to note - recently the news has had increasing reports of smart ring batteries swelling while the user is wearing it, getting it stuck on their finger. The Oura Ring does NOT seem to have that problem. All of the affected units used plastic or epoxy inner rings, allowing the battery to breach the ring. Both the inner and outer rings of the Oura Ring are titanium; there is a gasket fitting between the segments that allows the battery to vent in case of failure, but it should not be possible for the battery to exert enough pressure on the titanium inner ring to get it stuck on your finger in a catastrophic failure mode. Overall functionality: +4/5 Subscription: -1/5 Battery degradation: -3/5 Warranty Support: +3/5 Wont destroy my finger: +1/5

Love my Oura Ring
I purchased this ring somewhat on a whim, but it has quickly become one of the wearable devices I use every day. What initially started as a curiosity has turned into a valuable tool for monitoring my overall health and wellness. I particularly enjoy the health insights and biometric data it provides, which help me stay more aware of my daily habits and well-being. The companion app is intuitive, easy to navigate, and presents information in a way that is both accessible and actionable. One of my favorite features is the ability to take a photo of my meals and have the app identify and log the food. This functionality makes tracking nutrition much more convenient and has encouraged me to be more mindful of my eating habits. I know some users may hesitate because of the annual subscription fee, but for me it has not been an issue. I was able to use my HSA funds to purchase the ring, and I also use my HSA account to cover the subscription cost. Given the value I receive from the health tracking, insights, and convenience of the app, I believe the ongoing cost is justified. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a user-friendly health and wellness wearable.

So far cool....
I got this because I used to wear an Apple Watch and I absolutely hated it because I had to go in my watch pick which workouts I was doing my watch wouldn’t always connect with the phone and I bought the most expensive Apple Watch that you could possibly buy, which is ridiculous I stopped wearing it like four months ago because really I was only wearing it to look at the time it was pretty much useless to me. so I’ve been thinking about getting one of these for several months now I finally able to afford one. They’re very expensive and depending on what color you get is expensive I wanted the gold one however I’m not paying $500 for a ring that I don’t know if I’m going to like anyways so I’ve had it for 24 hours and so far I like it I actually started my monthly the day that I got this ring so that will be nice to track because my month leases are all over the place. This is second monthly I’ve gotten in April so that’s pretty inconvenient lol so that will be interesting to track my period on this. I will give an update with that because it’s very important to me. This is great if you’re trying to conceive, I would definitely recommend this if you’re trying to conceive and if you wanna know why do your own research. I don’t give medical advice so it’s it track my sleep pretty well I actually sleep better than what I thought I did or maybe that was just last night but it takes five days to actually get a reading a OUR a ring reading and how they do it so that’s nice that they take that time to track your sleep and give you a correct reading so it also let you know if you have sleep apnea it will let you know if you get sick before you get sick. It will let you know like you ate too much last night. Maybe that’s why you didn’t sleep good and it just does a lot of really cool things and you don’t have to program anything in the ring you slip it on Bluetooth connected and pay your $68 a year or your $5.98 a month which I feel was pretty inconvenient and a slap in the face by this company because I was told that there was no purchase for an app for this ring so just know you will have to pay for the app no matter what there is no getting around it. You do get 30 days for free to try it out and then after that you will be charged for it so just know that However, I did look up cheaper options and nothing compared to this so if you’re going to buy a ring, buy this one because this is going to give you everything that you need and you know that it’s going to be accurate. Also, they have Asurion insurance that goes with this however I am going to get progressive electronic insurance. You have 30 days after you buy it to get the progressive insurance. It’s better than assurance so progressive does cover stolen items so if you ever get the progressive insurance and you can’t find it. It was probably stolen :::wink wink::you get it? Lol to the_Surgery_Bestie to get a full review on IG for this ring. I will be doing a full on monthly review on this and know this is not sponsored. I paid for this. I got the silver one. It was $349 plus tax so it came out to $371 and some change so we will just say $372 apologies for the long review. I am talk texting and I really wanted to make sure I gave a good review also by the way I am 5 foot tall 170 pounds I thought I would be a size 7 on my non-dominant pointer finger and that was not the case. I am a size 9 on my nondominant pointer finger and I did measure my finger and it said that my pointer finger was 2 1/2 inches around which that seems rather big however that’s what I measure her so I hope that helps somebody with the sizing so you don’t have to order the sizing kit and I did order a cover to go on this. You can go on my Amazon page and see what cover I ordered because I will be giving a review on that as well because I don’t want it to get scratched up. It’s way too expensive to get scratched up.
