From DreamWorks Animation comes an adaptation of Peter Brown's award-winning, #1 New York Times bestseller, The Wild Robot. The epic adventure stars Academy Award® winner Lupita Nyong'o (Us, the Black Panther franchise) as Roz, a robot that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must adapt to the harsh surroundings. Gradually Roz starts building relationships with the animals on the island, including a clever fox voiced by Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian), and becomes the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling named Brightbill. The Wild Robot is a powerful story about self-discovery, a thrilling examination of the bridge between technology and nature, and a moving exploration of what it means to be alive and connected to all living things.Bonus Content:Alternate Opening - "Commercial for Rozzum"Moments from the MicMeet the CastDeleted Storyboard Sequence - "The Overprotective Mother"Assembly Required: Animating The Wild RobotFeeling AliveWild SoundsHow to DrawFly Your Own BrightbillFeature Commentary with Writer/Director Chris Sanders, Producer Jeff Hermann, Editor Mary Blee, Production Designer Raymond Zibach, Head of Story Heidi Jo Gilbert and Head of Character Animation Jakob Hjort Jensen

It sneaks up on you
Might be one of the best animation movies of this millennium…so far. With Inside Out 2 and Flow its been a great year for animation and all three stand on their own for what makes them individually great but this is the one that had me crying multiple times.I read the book with my kid years ago and there are some distinct differences (like the climatic ending and “surviving the winter”) but they were needed changes to translate to the screen.I really can find no fault here and it is completely satisfying for this adult and my children.Hope the sequel measures up

Awesome animation.
The movie was stunning visually. The storyline was borderline weak but it was an ok movie.

What an amazing movie.
I usually do not write reviews about movie, DVDs, or music. However, I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised with this movie. I went into it, not knowing how to expect. However, I quickly got sucked into the story. The acting is superb, the animation is also fantastic. And the story is original and interesting enough that it made the movie pass very quickly. I am not a movie critic, but all I can say is that I enjoyed the story, the acting, and the soundtrack.
