This product is effective if you use it right. Since I already have a hair mask routine that introduces heat, this was an easy product to add to my routine. After a shower I towel dry my hair, then apply the product on the mid to ends of my hair. I wrap it up and put it in a cap, keeping it away from my scalp and roots. I then put on a heat cap, wait 20 minutes and rinse the product out with warm water. It can seem like a process but once you do it and see results, it'll motivate you to keep going. This product did make my hair softer and it felt stronger. After a blow dry, my hair was shiny and very manageable. Great product if you are willing to put in the time to correctly apply.

I sectioned my hair into 4 parts and saturated each section and let it sit. This has such an amazing smell and my hair felt really nice after I used it. This is definitely something I would continue to use as part of my hair routine to keep things healthy and soft.

Made in Dominican Republic, GINGER MILK - Hair Strengthening Protein is a deep hair treatment not a conditioner, which means it requires time to work. The instructions indicate leaving it in clean towel-dry hair for 15-20 minutes before rinsing it out. Hair also needs to be covered so this product can penetrate the hair fiber. Afterward my hair feels soft and silky. On a separate note, this hair mask smells like vanilla, not ginger...thought I would point it out...

I’m going to start by saying that my first impression of this gel is that it smells incredible! It reminds me of Christmas and is so pleasant. It’s easy to use, just distribute through your hair in sections, careful to avoid the root and scalp, and wrap your hair up to keep it warm. Leave for 15-20 minutes then let sit for 5 minutes unwrapped, and rinse. This isn’t going to be a routine I can do too often as it is time consuming, but when I have done it, my hair feels awesome. I did notice while my hair is wrapped up, I can fell some heat on my head. I really do love this product and a little goes a long way. I do wish the bottle design was different as the product is pretty thin and a lot comes out with very little pressure and feels like a waste. While I won’t use it often, I can definitely see myself ordering more in the future when needed.

I got the GingerMilk Hair Protein Gel by BE BOLD - a 9 oz squeeze tube made in the Dominican Republic. I've only tried this one product, but encourage everyone to look at their complete line of products. This gel is a deep repair and strengthening formula that needs to stay in your hair - and away from your scalp - for 15-20 minutes. It has information in both English and Spanish on the back. The tube arrived in good shape - it has a good foil heat seal to protect everything until you are ready to use. It does not have any smell of ginger even though it's named GingerMilk. The ingredient list does include Zingiber extract as the 7th ingredient with purified water being the first. Fragance is listed as an ingredient which may be what gives it a vanilla-like smell. Not at all unpleasant. This does what it says when used according to their instruction - very noticeable difference. I like it, and I'm also looking at some of the other products from this brand.

Always looking for different ways to help my hair. This GINGER MILK - seems nice. Haven't tried ginger before. Has many good ingredients my hair seems to crave as well as new ones. Seems like good stuff. I didn't realize this needed to stay on hair while under heat. 15-20 minutes . Not sure I'll use it much; doesn't really fit my time constraints, hair washing and prep time. I'm more of on my hair an extended time while in the shower. Good point that would've been nice in opening description.
