I also have other books in the series. Each week, we focus on one of the concepts (there are two concepts per book) and I give my class an exercise from that concept each day. They are quick and easy, but effective in developing important reading skills for non-fiction passages. The passages are well written and interesting. My students enjoy reading them and we are all learning new information, vocabulary, and facts about a variety of topics. The only thing, I would like to change is the answer key. There are only answers for the multiple choice questions. It would be nice to have sample answers for the fill in questions. You can figure them out, but sample answers save time. I would recommend these to any busy teacher (or homeschooling parent) looking to practice important reading skills in a fun, easy, and effective way. Review: PERFECT FOR ANY ENGLISH CLASS - I chose 5 stars for this purchase because it was exactly what it was advertised as, a valuable classroom asset, quick and easy to use. Great for second language learners and those behind 2 or more grades with skills. This book was $26 at two teacher resource stores near where I live and it was 10 to 12 $ cheaper through desertcart.

very Helpful
I really like this for my daughter who is in the 5th grade. it actually helped to improve her grade and she really understands inferences better. I wish the stories were a little longer but I guess it's best to keep it short to facilitate a better understanding. I would recommend this to anybody looking to improve their child's learning.

great practice workbook
This resource was used for a group that was a little older but hadn't learned these principles prior. It was very clear cut and the practice exercises put everything into the right perspective. Now just need to find a resource for high school or business world use.

Excellent resource
This book was delivered promptly in excellent condition. Used with my sixth grade reading classes to better understand inferencing and drawing conclusions, which carried over to their benchmark literature studies. It has different ability levels, which benefits ESL and special education students especially.

Nice supplemental resource for skills based learning
Nice supplemental resource for skills based learning. I will be using it for students who are working below grade level, but could be used on grade level as well.

Five Stars
This was an excellent tool for teaching the skills of Inferences. Great for any kiddo on the spectrum!

The book is organized into two sections, one has approximately sixteen inference activities and the other has a similar number of "drawing conclusions" activities. The activities are valuable because they focus on these skills, but a downside is that the questions are very simple. This is helpful at the start of the teaching of the skill, but later it becomes a bit too easy. It would be awesome if there were a few more levels for the questions and query section. Still, it is a great resource for review and reference.

I originally bought this book for children to work on during guided reading, but the tasks are really quick to do. However, I now use it as a teacher led prompt for discussions in my guided reading sessions and it has been a huge success!
