I recently purchased the PETIMI Automatic Water Dispenser for Dogs (101oz) and I couldn’t be happier! The 304 stainless steel construction feels extremely sturdy and high quality, and it’s clear this is built to last. My dogs took to it right away, and the large capacity is perfect — I no longer have to constantly refill water bowls throughout the day. What really impressed me was the outstanding customer service. Manufacturing quality is good, no complaints there, yet I wouldn’t want to use this device with dogs which tend to salivate into the water which in turn causes scaling in the basin, which can not be easily cleaned. This effect is particularly strong since our water is very hard. Hard-to-reach areas are difficult to clean/hygienize.

I purchased this water dish to help solve a serious problem with racoons. I typically leave water outside in a small bowl for my cat pets. In their night-time visits, the racoons would spill water from the small dish and then run off with the dish. I attached this new dish to a small pet shelter (see photos) instead of attaching it to my house wall. This keeps the dish stable and vertical but also allows for relocation if necessary. I mounted the dish just high enough to place a concrete stepping block under the dish. (see photo) With the dish resting on the block, the racoons cannot do damage by pushing down on the dish. Everything works exactly as expected – no valve or water leaks and no more racoon problems. Since the dish is always outside, I occasionally find outdoor bugs or debris in the bowl. Cleaning is easy. I dip a small scoop into the water, collect the debris along with some of the water, and then discard. The bowl automatically replaces whatever I scoop out with clean water. Very easy. Incidentally, I made the scoop by cutting up a plastic cat-treat container (Greenies or some similar brand) (see photo). By doing this, I ended up with a scoop, just the right size and with a flat surface that matches the flat bottom of my new water dispenser. After 30 days: This is brief follow-up to my original review above… It’s been a bit over a month since I installed it, and the device has been in constant 24-7 use. It serves as the sole supply of water for my outside pets. The water dish has worked flawlessly with no leakage and always a full dish of water. It continues to provide a reliable supply of fresh water.
