Follow up with the conditioner for another five minutes, focusing on the beard and ends, and rinse again. It stings a little at first—like a tingle from the 2% pyrithione zinc kicking in—but it’s a small price for the payoff.  The scent is fresh and forest-like, not some overpowering medicated funk, which is a huge win for daily wear. The massager deserves its own shoutout—it’s soft-bristled silicone that exfoliates gently while you lather, helping the formula penetrate without scratching up your scalp.  And being sulfate- and paraben-free means no dryness rebound, just healthy, hydrated hair that actually stays flake-free longer than anything else I’ve tried. I’ve been having issues with these yellow gunk or scabs on my scalp despite washing my hair regularly. I saw an ad for flakes at the beginning of the year but ignored it cause of the price. I finally gave in and started using the shampoo and conditioner last week and now I have no more gunk/scabs on my scalp. Also my head isn’t as itchy as it used to be. 10/10 recommend if you’re having the same issues as I’m describing.

i was using an extra strength head and shoulders shampoo for my seborrheic dermatitis and it worked great until they changed the formula. after struggling to find something that worked, i kept seeing ads for flakes on instagram. the price made me hesitate so i waited a few months before finally pulling the trigger. it actually works really well. it helped get my seborrheic dermatitis under control but i still thought $54 for 2 bottles was wild. then i checked their website and found it’s way cheaper if you subscribe, 2 bottles for $39 or 4 for $68. i ended up subscribing to the 4 bottle plan every 60 days which is way more manageable. now i’m just hoping they don’t change the formula.

It works great for bad dandruff. I only gave it 4 stars because it’s pricey and not a huge container.

I am absolutely amazed with Flakes!!!! My teenage son has been dealing with scalp issues for several years (dry scalp & patchy sores. 😢) We have tried everything with no luck. Price sucks yea but honestly it works. My husband has been to a dermatologist, used creams, scrubs, lotions and this has been the only thing to give him relief and make him feel better. We’ve only had it a week. Results were pretty quick for him. Buying our next bottles for when he runs out. It’s now something he can’t be without.

Significantly reduced itchiness on my scalp. Since using one bottle of shampoo and 1/2 conditioner, my scalp has shed some long time almost callused scars that I developed from picking/scratching acne. It all smells rrreeeeaally good too. I started using both daily for about 3 months, and now I only use the shampoo every other day and conditioner every day. It’s soothing, refreshing and has been the only thing that has actually helped relieve my itchy scalp.

I have had a severe case of Seborrheic Dermatitis for years. It's not really dandruff flakes but more like plaque that I have habitually picked at and created scabs. I've tried everything, including prescription shampoos, steroids, creams, serums, you name it. Tons of otc shampoos. I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for 3-4 days everyday and so far, my scalp feels better. I think it's going to take some time because it takes about a month for skin to turn around and mine was very thick. I'm using Dermazen before bed to help break the biofilm and then shampoo and conditioner in the morning. The shampoo and conditionerare very think and concentrated, so you don'tneed much. I took off 1 star because the containers are so thick, that I can't squeeze them, mostly the conditioner, it just won't come out. I have to open the top and try to scoop some out with my finger.
