Kamisama Kiss, Vol. 16

A lot happened this volume! Futa is really sweet. I want to know what his life was like after leaving Yukiji. Also, Kuromaro formless self looked super cool! I want to know how he became a fallen god, because he seems so loving. I hope we hear more about his backstory. I love everything about Tomoe and Nanamin’s in interactions in this volume. When Nanami realized Tomoe really did love her, not Yukiji, it was the best!

This arc is everything I've ever dreamed of in a manga! The one teeny tiny issue I have with the official manga is their translations... Having read the scanlations online, I loved this part of the storyline enough to purchase the manga, but sometimes the conversation reads awkwardly because the translator(s) are finding more creative ways of saying things like "Don't go." I personally enjoy the simplicity of what they're saying without needing complicate a simple sentence, and feel that some scanlations online provide a more active tone to the characters than the official manga. That being said, this version did clarify some details about the plot that weren't as clearly translated online, and I appreciate that. Overall, Kamisama Kiss itself is a great manga series and I'm absolutely hooked, just dying for the next chapter to come out.
