I received this as a mother's day gift. It's absolutely lovely it's great quality and so sparkly with the silver hearts. The light up tummy is a lovely touch and looks so cosy sitting on my bed.

This is a lovely Care Bear that would be on any little girl's Christmas wish list.The toy seems to be well made with no loose parts. Lovely velvet plush that really stands out with its colour and decoration. As I'm keeping this as a gift I didn't take it out of the box as it was firmly fixed in there but I pressed ears, feet, etc, and couldn't find out how the rainbow stomach glowed or whether you need batteries and there were no instructions on the box to tell you. I'm sure that when removed from the box all becomes obvious.This is almost twice the price of most other Care Bears but it is one of the Collectors Editions so I guess you're paying a premium for that. For someone who collects Care Bears it would make a lovely gift.

Our little one absolutely loves this bear. My wife was also over the moon to see these coming back as she remembers them as a kid. This is well made and is boxed with its little certificate. We can totally recommend these to anyone that wants to start their own collection.

For those of you not as old as me, the Care Bears first debuted in 1981 as characters on greeting cards, created by American Greetings. What really made these popular was when they were later made into a animated television series in 1985, which helped to make them so popular that they were the must have toy for young girls at that time. I had 3 sisters so growing up in the 80s and 90s, these things were all over my house so I can remember them well.This Basic Fun Cheer Bear Collector Edition is a lovely 35cm plush toy that takes you right back to the original Care Bears as these collectors edition ones are every bit as good as the originals, with a couple of slight modifications, which to me is a positive addition. That is the glowing belly and the heart shaped fur. The originals in the 80s didn't have this light up rainbow belly or the heart shaped fur - well that's what my sisters are telling me anyway. I think these features were only introduced in the collectors editions like this one.Personally I think the heart shaped fur and the glowing belly jut adds a lot more character to them and makes them more playful and imaginative.I got this for my 5 year old granddaughter for Christmas and I'm fairly sure she will love it. If they worked so well back then, I can't see why they won't work now. Computer games are fine, but I have never seen them help the imagination going like this type of toy does so they will always do well in my eyes, and it's all about the marketing as to how popular they will be or not. These are a definite 5 stars in my eyes.

I loved care Bears as a child, and my children loves them too. I saw this lovely bear time ago and I finally decided to buy it. I ordered one a few days ago, and I returned it as it came with some scratches (or defective fabric, not sure) around the shiny belly. I ordered a new one and I received it today, it came with the same problem, this time even more noticeable, so I am returning it too. It is a shame as the bear is so adorable and soft. Very disappointing.
