LifePO4 is the wave of the future
Installed without any problem. Dramatic difference in weight compared to lead-acid original battery. One click starts. Probably a way overkill in terms of cranking ability (almost twice the CCA rating). I understand that the Ah rating is effectively twice that of an equivalent rated lead-acid battery. Battery voltage remains almost constant until near full discharge. With lead-acid battery, voltage continues to drop during discharge. So the rated Ah is only partly usable because of low voltages. I have had a few of these LiFePO4 batteries in use since their introduction. The one failure I have had was in the battery management circuit. Only two were rated for high cranking amperage (as with this one), and those have been in daily drivers for 8 months, Hope this one will be just as good.

Excellent in evey way!
Extremely light weight. Starts car with ease. Accessory use doesn't drop voltage, whether car is running or not. On-board BMS charging circuit keeps battery fully charged and ready, whether taking short or long trips. Amazing for the price! BTW - I have an old car that used a Group 35 battery. This Group 47 battery is very close in size, and did the trick!

Don't waste your money or time!
I bought for my daughters 2008 VW Beetle and thought that new tech meant better! The battery build quality appeared very good and light weight. It installed easily but after driving it for a week, the car stared to have issues. The radio would turn off and restart randomly while driving and I did notice a hiccup in the car while driving. The alternator light would come on for a couple seconds and would disappear at the same time the radio comes back on. I do notice the headlights look dim while driving at night as well. The alternator is less than a year old and should have no issues. I do notice that before the battery swap, I was charging voltage was at 14.4V while on. With this new battery, the voltage charge dropped down to 13.4V while driving. After trouble shooting this with my mechanic, it came down to this battery issue. I had to replace this with the standard AGM and now the car works fine with bright headlights. It is charging back to 14.4V. I ended up return the battery. Not sure how everyone else is doing fine with theirs but my car did not like it or the battery was defective out of the box.

Works on 2004 Subaru STi (group 26)
Initial Review: 2004 Subaru STi (group 26). Received battery yesterday at 87% charge, about 13.3V. My alternator runs about 13.8-14.0 at startup. I charged it for about half an hour while I tried to decipher the weird instructions that came with it. Ultimately just decided to swap the battery in a usual fashion. By then it was at 93% according to its own diagnostics, around 13.4V. Fits directly in without any modifications. It is feather light. Hooked it up. Car cranks a little faster than my tired lead acid battery, which was struggling to maintain 12V. Car started fine. Idles normally around 13.8V. The battery shows 100% at this point. Will have to see how this plays out over time. I drive this car rarely. Also the tires dictate no subfreezing temperatures. I have a battery tender that is capable of LiFePO4 chemistry, but I frequently forget to hook it up, so I'm hard on batteries. My garage is insulated but not climate controlled. So far I'm happy, and if this holds up, I'd never buy another lead acid battery. The weight savings are like getting 1-2 free horsepower, and it's taken from the front of the car. One more tip: get a 12V lighter USB adapter with a digital voltmeter. For like $10 I now have accurate voltmeter that matches my multimeter and has a USB-C outlet as a bonus.

I LOVE this lithium starting battery. Fast crank, quicker engine starts
I put this group 24 in my Lexus LS400, it fit perfectly, the cranking speed is outstanding, the alternator charging 14.2 volts, amps initially was 30 amps from alternator, settled down to a little under 10 amps once the BMS learned the alternator output, after researching the high amp output from charging system. No problems at all with this last arctic blast. IF** you have a no start cold, turn on headlights high beams for 5 or so minutes THEN attempt cranking. It's counter intuitive to do that as we are used to LA batteries, lithium must warm up to get to robust large amp discharge. Current flow will warm the batteries.

Going strong.
August 2025 - 2014 4Runner group 24. Iโm using it in a dual purpose configuration: one battery for starting and fridge. Installation of this dropped my fuel economy. Starting power is strong. Runs my refrigerator well on dedicated circuit. Every AI I run the setup through cautions the use of a lithium as a starter with an alternator and ecu which expects a lead acid/agm charging program. Apparently the low resistance of the lithium during charging encourages the alternator to charge at a higher amperage resulting in the engine working more. Though nothing has failed yet, I have held on to my agm just in case. This wonโt charge to 100% unless I use the alt-s diode to increase charge voltage to 14.4ish. You can feel the weight difference. This battery looks a lot like the antigravity brand but without the Bluetooth or the fob to jumpstart the car. After two weeks itโs working out really well. I wonder if the fuel economy drop was due to having the battery out and triggering a relearn cycle in the ecuโฆ. Update: mpg at 15.8 ish combined with xl load tires. No indication the battery is suffering. Running well after a month. Diode mod keeps battery at 100%. Oem fuse keeps battery at 90%. Get an optimate compatible with lithium! Update May 2026 - still going strong.

Excellent so far!
Pretty much the only reasonably priced game in town for H8 / Group 49 in lithium; we installed in Sprinter Van. So far, so good! Sometimes has coupon. Advertised as not having bluetooth for monitoring, but the TET app on my iPhone sees it! Got the TET app b/c bought this other battery for my honda: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FKT2Y4D8, and when my garage, the app sees both that 51R battery in the honda and this H8 battery in the Sprinter Van! YMMV as the feature is not advertised. Runs ~13.2 volts fully charged like most lithium batteries.

Be careful when buying
Dont waste your money. Worked well for a couple of weeks, then wouldn't hold a charge, then the bottom of the battery case melted. Seller wont respond to inquiries regarding the 60 month warranty.

Great battery!
Awesome packaging, great product and my god is this thing light!! Itโs great as my 2nd battery as the after market holder isnโt the sturdiest I find. It would probably make a great battery on its own, but I needed the extra juice when I plow. So this will be perfect!
