This product is very solid and well‑built. I like the feel of the handle, and the blade has small (about 1/4”) sections you can remove with needle‑nose pliers to expose fresh, sharp cutting edges. The black circular lock holds the blade tight. Never had a problem with this product.

18mm Snap off utility knife The quality of this utility knife is exceptional, Japanese are really skeptical about what they're doing. I love it!, all metal construction except only 2 things! Although this knife is great it could be much more better IF ratcheting lock wheel knob should be metal too but it is plastic, and the blade snapper is also Plastic as well but the rest of the knife are all metal. Overall it's a great knife, great quality Japanese made utility snap off knife versus the Chinese imitations, copied and replica ones. One thing for sure! I have to use and abuse this knife to find out if it last! My 17 year old Japanese made retractable utility knife is still working though but it's not a snap off like this one. I highly recommend this cutting tool. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very well made. Hope they put a side clip on a future version but a carabiner clip would work too.

I've used 5 or 6 different snap-blade utility knives over the last few months, mainly for carving holes in standard-weight cardboard. This one has become my favorite due to its strength and simplicity. I have a fairly easy time locking and unlocking the blade with one hand using the thumb wheel. This cutter is solid due to the aluminum frame, but is still a reasonable weight of 4 ounces (with blade). I think the extra ounce or so over plastic models is worth it. I added a bit of rubberized grip tape to mine for extra traction, but it's not really needed.

These utility knives are really outstanding. They are superior in durability, sharpness, grip and value. This is my second order. My first knife is several years’ old, and after heavy use and abuse, it’s still going strong.

The heavier weight provided by the metal housing feels good in the hands. The blade is easy, but safe, to open and close. As well, the blade is sturdier than other plastic knives I've had before. I believe it is well worth the extra money or Chinese made knives; this one is Japanese.

This product is b/s The package box cutter was enclosed in was partially opened. Locking mechanism (twist lock) never engaged. What was bad about this experience? They don't offer refunds That's a load of crap!

Very solid construction, the blade itself is nice and sharp The aluminum body feels surprisingly soft and comfortable. I think they are coated with a polymer.
