THis is the second OMRON MOnitor I have bought for my family. It is in credibly easy to use and very accurate. It does use batteries quickly so have some on hand. Easy to read display. Resonable price. It is also a good size to pack if needed.

This works wonderfully. It is consistent and came at a cost far less than my old meter, and works better. Love that it uploads numbers to my phone for easy connectivity at the doctor 's office

Accurate readings and connects to your phone to keep and good history of readings. Easy to share with your doctor. App allows to set reminder to take your blood pressure at certain times. No complaints cuff is easy to put on and minimal noise while taking your blood pressure. Great monitor if your doctor tells you need to keep track of your bp.

This BP meter reads accurate, repeatable and easy to use. the build quality is outstanding out of box, paperwork, design, materials, and performance. the Android app work as designed, without bugs. it has flaws, see con. there is no AC adapter, but I use rechargeable AA NiMH batteries Pros Validated BP machine from validatebp.org omron unique cuff: its a semi-rigid C cuff you can clasp around your arm then velcro tighten to ease donning, versus the traditional clothlike band that you wrestle to put on used in docs offices and other makers once set up its a one click button to get a BP you can sync old readings by hitting the app sync button, and it syncs the contents of the or reading the onboard archive seems to engage the transmit too consistent reading within specification. tested using a split -t adapter to the Omron's air tube, with a mercury baumanometer and manually measured BP using a stethoscope by a licensed MD, as well as compared against a Welch Allyn doc office meter syncs bluetooth to Android devices via registering to a website. it sends data to this website as other Android devices with the app get the data so beware your personal data The app allows BP graph and trend average, functional and bug free Cons, minus 1 star for the ff Besides strictly following the AMA BP measurement protocol, cuff size and placement is crucial. if the supplied cuff is correct for your arm, the instructions say to line the hose with your 3rd finger, but fails to mention insure the hose is straight to confirm the alignment. my BP readings were inconsistent vs reference bp measurements. I went looking for an ARTERY MARKER on the cuff. All BP cuffs have these. aligning the ARTERY MARKER to your ARM ARTERY is the official way, is much easier to do, and produces consistent results the accuracy is within spec, but tends to read consistently 3mmHg high vs a simultaneous reference bp measurement, added to the error of a reference which is also 3mmHg, the total error is +/- 6mmHg, sometimes its equal but in 100+ measurements it never was below the reference, suggesting their algorithm does read high the switches are very easy to actuate, its great as a stand alone home device, but its not possible to transport this in a bag without accidentally activating the machine, the bats have to be removed. it needs a separate recessed off on switch for travelers the Omron color designations bronze, silver, gold, etc., and at the same time having model numbers are confusing and color should be abandoned. Simply naming advanced models with higher numbers is both sufficient and more accurate. As it is now, there are several 'silver' models with different model numbers, with only subtle differences between them

I originally bought an Omron Platinum BP monitor. It has irregular heartbeat detection - just as this one does. But the more expensive Platinum unit aborts the BP measurement and DOES NOT show BP if an irregular heartbeat is detected. This unit flags the heartbeat issue (and does so with more info) AND still displays the BP!!! The more expensive unit was useless since most of the time it did not actually show my my BP. I understand the the BP may be less accurate if there is a irregular heart rhythm but showing the BP gives me some useful info. This unit has way less info than the more expensive unit. If you want to track BP for more than one person you will need to use the App (which I don't). But if you just want to track you own BP and pulse rate over time, this will work. HOWEVER, the more expensive unit does do a date/time stamp for each BP reading inside the unit. This unit doesn't have an internal clock. But if you use the app, I think it will tag the reading with a timestamp. The app connection (to your smartphone) is via Bluetooth. One other difference between this Silver model and the Platinum is that (IMHO) the supplied cuff (with the silver) is easier to use than the cuff that came with the Platinum. There is a curved plastic insert in the cuff of the Silver which grips the arm and helps hold the cuff in place while I tighten it. This unit does what I need it to do and doesn't hide key information if it thinks I have some type of arrhythmia. The unit (as are other Omron BP monitors) is approved by Validate BP.

I am no rocket scientist and this was a breeze to hook up and get working. Also seems well calibrated when compared to readings obtained at my doctors' offices.

This was a solid investment! I've been experiencing some odd health issues and being able to monitor and track my blood pressure helped remove some of the concern. Super E-Z 2 setup (no problems installing the batteries). I confess, I didn't use the Bluetooth option or memory - as this was for monitoring over a short period of time. I'm of average height/weight, the cuff fit comfortably and was adjustable. For what I needed, and how I used it - it worked very well. I will keep it, for later, as I mature. ;-)

I am enjoying this blood monitoring device. Checked against an older product, this monitor is much more consistent in its readings. It appeared easy to use which makes it convenient to take a BP check quickly and often.

This is the same device my family doctor uses at his office so bought it. The app work nicely. Synch up with my android phone via Bluetooth quickly. The arm cup is sturdy and secure when placed on my upper arm. I am a male and have about 15 inches around upper arm when straight and the cup fits fine. But if you have much bigger arm then you might feel tightness. The device is quite when in operation. Measures quick. All readings are very legible and clear. The entire unit is compact and can easily stored. Much nicer than my previous unit I bought from Shoppers Drug mart.

I purchased this due to apparent inconsistencies between my Doctor's readings and my other brand monitor. Turns out that the Omron machine gives almost exactly the same readings as my other machine... Unless by some chance both machines are inaccurate by the same amount, I'd say that this is a good indication of accuracy. I will, if course, compare this monotor to the pharmacy monitor. The cuff is really a joy to use as it automatically wraps around your arm, then you just secure it with the velcro flap. Very easy to do with one hand. Readings are quick and quiet, and once the reading is on the display the numbers will be transferred to the app via the Bluetooth connection, so that you have an automatic history to review, or share with your Doctor. I really like this monitor, and I would recommend it

No storage case received. No back light so gray letters are hard to read. Have not tested submitting results to doctor. Have not taken to doctor's office yet for comparison tests. Easy to use. Seems to be good quality.
