Love it! Perfect size for making bone broth and big batches of soup or chili! Cooks evenly and came out perfect from the dishwasher, no rust! Very sturdy handles and not terribly heavy! I'm glad I went with the 12 qt because the 15 would've been too big!

I already owned 2 Homi Chef pots before getting this one. The 8 qt stock pot and the copper banded 2 1/2 quart stockpot. I gave them both 5 star reviews because I really think they are superb. I also have their knife which is very good value as well. This pot is 16 quarts and REALLY big! I already had the 8 quart Stock Pot. I noticed immediately that the 8 quart is heavier and thicker and I was worried that this one wouldn't cook as well, but I get why they'd want it to be lighter - It would be extremely difficult to maneuver if it was made as heavily as the 8 quart. But make no mistake it's quite sturdy and very well made. I decided to make chicken soup with a friend and we'd split it since it was going to make a LOT! The first photo I posted shows all the ingredients laid out on the stove - chicken, celery, carrots, mushrooms, dill, yellow squash, zuccini, sweet onion, scallions, a small amount of dill pickles, salt, pepper, chicken stock, bone broth, and angel hair pasta with a fresh baguette. The second photo shows most of the veggies diced and sauteed right in the pot. After adding the broth and seasoning, bringing to a boil, which took no longer than I'd have expected even given that the pot is meant to be cooked in at medium heat, it was time to add the chicken and the remaining vegetables and dill followed by the angel hair pasta broken in to 1 1/2" pieces. The whole meal was cooked in about 40 minutes. We sat down for a big bowl of that delicious soup, a hunk of the baguette and some wine (photo 3). My friend never stopped making yummy noises and I agreed with her. It was fabulous soup. After our meal I transferred the remaining soup to containers for freezing. A LOT of containers. My friend took 3 quarts home and I gave another quart to another friend and have a lot left for me to enjoy over the next couple of weeks!. Clean up was a bit challenging. NOT because of the pot material but because of the size of the beautiful pot. It's tall and I live in an apartment with a regular kitchen sink so I had to lay it on it's side and use the removable spray to spray out the bulk of what was left in the pan. Once I got the solids out I was able to set the pot in the sink, add a few drops of liquid soap and use a soft nylon covered sponge to clean it thoroughly. I rinsed it, dried it and it looked brand new. Nothing stuck to it. To be honest I don't see myself needing this pot a lot as it's overkill if you're not making a big batch of something or canning maybe. I DO however think I would use the pot for making long spaghetti because it's tall and would accommodate the raw tall spaghetti without having to break it. Also it would keep the spaghetti moving around in the boiling water with all that room. If I cook my mom's meatball and sauce recipe I will definitely use THIS pan for the sauce. Overall the pot performed perfectly for this chicken soup recipe and the result is raves from the two cooks and from the other friend I gave a quart too. Like me, he'd not had chicken soup with dill and we both thought the dill made the dish. If you need a large stock pot you cannot go wrong with this one or anything in the Homi Chef line if the four items I already had, you won't be disappointed. Throw in the best customer service I've ever experienced from any company ever and the combination is unbeatable. Now it's time for another bowl of soup.

This is an exceptionally well-made and robust large stockpot. A little extra care is needed to reduce the possibility of corrosion due to the nickel-free construction, but worth the effort in the interest of better health! I am a very advanced Home and Personal Chef and am very anal about the cookware I use in my culinary work. Most of my Stainless Steel cookware (which I strongly prefer) is European and High-end, very expensive pots and pans. That being said, I am always on the lookout for affordable products that match or nearly match the quality and design of those expensive other items. Few make the grade, but this one certainly does...in spades! The size alone is perfect for a wide range of uses. It's perfect for my use of Sous Vide cooking larger items that won't properly fit in smaller pots. (See the first picture). It is also great for outdoor use on a propane burner for things like shrimp and crab boils for entertaining up to 12 guests. (See the second Picture). The Stockpot is completely compatible with Induction hotplates which makes it great for portability when I want to cook away from a kitchen on my portable induction unit (See the third picture). And finally, in the kitchen, it is great on gas, coil, or glasstop stoves. (See the fourth picture) The tri-ply aluminum encapsulated disk on the bottom of the pot assures quick heating across the entire bottom surface, allowing for rapid boiling when needed. It works very well. The lid is vented with see-through glass and fits like a glove on the stockpot. The 18/0 Stainless Steel eliminates the possibility of nickel-leaching and protects your health! There are virtually no negatives or "cons" for this stockpot. Everything has been well thought-out in its construction and quality is very high! ++ 20Qts provides the capability for cooking very large quantities of various foods, soups, and stews. ++ Nickel-free construction protects health and those with nickel allergies. ++ Rounded lip allows for spill-free pouring ++ Mirror finish is aesthetically beautiful and still remains fully functional ++ Glass lid is vented to prevent boil-over and fits perfectly on the stockpot ++ HomiChef is receiving high marks from a number of test and review sites. Up and coming manufacturer ++ Handles are attached robustly to insure safety when lifting a full pot. Cleaning should be done by hand (like all stainless steel should be) and dried immediately. Hard water or calcified water may leave spots at times, but they can be removed with a vinegar solution easily. The company provides instructions for proper cleaning or restoring back to new condition if needed. I am extremely impressed by this stockpot and it will be a frequently used item in my kitchen and elsewhere. The price makes this an incredible value and I wouldn't hesitate buying this stockpot again if the need arose for some reason. Honest and very hearty Five Star Recommendation! I bought this pot to make large batches of soups and stews, and it's perfect. I've made pho, borscht, and several batches of a chicken soup this winter. Love stainless steel and how easy it is to clean!

Received with a lid that sinks to the bottom of the pot; obviously too small. Contacted Homichef. Response was fast , and they sent me a new 20 quart pot ( I only asked for a lid that fit). Received that pot today- with the same too small lid. Since both pots have been in original packaging, Homichef’s quality control seems to be seriously lacking. The pot does seem well made, and of stainless steel enough to work on my induction stove , but what I’m cooking requires a lid…. Update: Homichef has responded well to the issues. They not only sent me the two pots above, but a 24 quart pot with a lid that fits both pots. I hope they are able to fix the issue, but customer service is unusually great with this company. I changed to four stars.

This is a great pot ! I was worried it might not be very good quality but there was no need to worry. It’s well made with a nice thick bottom and it is more than large enough for my large family’s needs. I regularly cook 2 lbs of pasta and I only need to fill it just over halfway with water and there’s plenty of room for the pasta to cook. Love this pot !

This stock pot is perfect for cooking crab legs, lobster, and large batch gumbo. The bottom heats evenly without scorching the food. Love this pot!
