Issues with connecting to WiFi / hOn app says appliances is not supported
I received this Haier HSW79F18ANMM American Style Fridge Freezer SBS 90 Series 7, Silver, A Rated yesterday 12 November 2024. It was delivered by two man team. The fridge freezer is large and weighs 140 kg. I had to unscrew / remove one of my house internal door to get the fridge freezer to the kitchen. The fridge freezer was very heavy that I supported the delivery team with the moving it from the van into house. I waited for 6 hours and then set up the product. I tried severally to connect the product to hOn app as stated but the app says your applicance is not supported. I have contacted haier customer service, who confirmed that there are currently issues with the hOn app recognising new appliances since a security update earlier in the year. However, they were not able to give a timeline when this issue will be fixed. I contacted amazon and was presented with two options, refund or get support from the technical department. I accepted support and leave refund as a last resort, moving a large fridge freezer weighing 140kg is not a joke.
