Hot Shot has been around for decades and has very quickly earned its stay in our home. Coming up in the 70s this stuff was requested by name and was one of the leading sellers back then. Today, I still trust it. I seen a review where someone stated that they received an old package of this stuff. The sheer beauty of Hot Shot is, the longer it sits up in the can the better and better it works. I know this from experience after using a very old can of this stuff from the 70s era once to kill flies in my kitchen. It not only was killing them in the kitchen, which was the treated room, it was also killing them in other parts of my home that wasn't even treated with the spray. So yes, it dose still work when the product is outdated. In fact, it works even better. I know because I used it like this, and this is why I buy it in bulk.

It works pretty quickly. I use it in my garage before going out to tinker. Make sure you give it time to settle before going into the area for any real amount of time. The smell is strong / maybe overwhelming at first, so it’s best to use a few minutes before spending any time in the area of use. I was happy to see that it does actually last for a few days upon application. I can spray my garage on Friday, and it’ll generally last the entire weekend.

It’s summer and my dog’s are in and out all day long. I spray around my back steps every morning, works great all day.

This stuff is just ok in my opinion. Takes a while for it to kill or block the bugs, even when sprayed directly on them.
