Had to use this for the first time a few days ago when my wife tripped and fell in our garage. A similar fall last year and the struggle getting her up was the reason we bought this. The thing worked as advertised, had her back on her feet in a couple of minutes. Excellent device - but she did need me to fetch it out of the house and help get her on it, it is not a complete solution fir those who live alone.

This is absolutely a must have if you have elderly parents that you cannot pick up off the floor it’s quality made. It’s sturdy very dependable and will definitely save my back if my mom has another fall.

Great quality product. Light enough that my helper moves it to me easily. I'm 6 245 pounds and it easily and safely picks me up off the floor. It's good and sturdy, so now I don't have to call for help getting off the floor.

Anyone looking at buying something like this is in the same boat. You or a loved one has medical issues or age issues that prevent them from standing up from the floor after a fall. You are faced with several options. Ask a friend or other family member for help or call 911 and as for fire dept. help, or get an assistance device like this one. As I am writing this review, it is in the aftermath of my wife falling and not being able to get up. She had to use her phone to call me in the bedroom, sound asleep. This lift was still in the shipping box and I was forced to do a crash course in how to assemble and power the lift. One thing that took me a few minutes to figure out was the the unit is self powered. You charge up the corded remote which provides the power to chair lift. The remote also has enough power out of the box to make the chair lift work. I can't stress how helpful this device is. It really is a life saver!

I bought this because my mother in law fell few times. Calling paramedics at all hours to pick her up was embarrassing for her. It takes a minute to get her maneuverd onto it, but it does a great job getting her to a sitting position to help her stand on her feet without having to call for help.

My wife loves her new chair, it's the first time in several years that she's been able to get into a bathtub. Everything about it fits her needs perfectly, but even though we have a smooth clean surface in our tub, the chair still comes loose which means she has to be very careful when trying to slide off the chair and onto the side of the tub when getting out.

After three lifts it broke.Cheaply made.

The chair is helpful so you can take a bath and get back out. The sturdiness is okay but it can tilt so make sure you are able to hold onto something. The seat of the chair is a little hard and the flaps on the side aren't made as sturdy as I like them to be. The chair is heavy when compacted down so very someone to help you carry it to your designated spot. The suction cups work well but the little piece on the tip broke when I went to try and pull up to release the suction cup. It's easy to wipe down but hard for a person who's disabled or can't bend to get all the way to the bottom to wipe it down. If I could make a suggestion it would be that they could have placed the remote control cord a little higher as it hangs in the back just over the chair but it's not far enough where you can keep the cord or the cord attachment away from the tub water. Is it water proof? As far as the quality of the chair, I had one years ago and it was made really good, sturdy and great quality. This chair the quality of the material isn't that comfortable and the plastic seems pretty thin but with all this being said if you need to lower yourself or someone else to the floor, bath, or even get them off the floor or out of the bath it's good for that bit I recommend someone being there to help to transport the chair and also be careful as the chair can topple over given its slim state. If my suggestions are considered for this product, I will update me review and just might add two more stars.

I had my first bath in over a week thanks to this seat. I was unable to get out of the bath, and only dared take showers. I didn’t want to rip my bathroom apart to have a walk-in tub, so got this. It’s brilliant!
