Gaming earbuds that double as brilliant gym buds
Bought these primarily as a gaming headset but they've ended up being my most-used piece of kit at the gym too. The active noise cancellation is genuinely impressive — once they're in, the outside world simply ceases to exist. No ambient gym noise, no unsolicited conversation, just whatever's in your ears. Exactly what you want at 7am. The fit is secure as well, which matters more than people give it credit for when you're moving around. They stay put. On the gaming side, the 100+ game-specific audio presets via the companion app are the real standout feature. It sounds gimmicky until you try it, and then it just makes sense — footsteps, environmental cues and spatial audio all noticeably sharper. The 2.4GHz wireless connection is rock solid with no perceptible lag. Battery life is solid for daily use, and the Qi wireless charging case means you're rarely scrambling for a cable. Not a cheap purchase, but they do two jobs — gym and gaming — better than most dedicated options do one. Well worth it.

Much better than Inzone buds, comfort is just okay.
Came to the Gamebuds from some Inzone buds and I have to recommend these over the Inzone buds. Firstly the sound quality is equal to or better than the Inzone as the gamebuds have WAY MORE EQ presets which makes them much more versatile depending on the content they're being used for, I don't like using extra software for things but I have read up that you can save an EQ to the buds using an app on your phone, so you don't necessarily need the GG software. They have nice punchy bass (if you get a good seal, I'll get back to this) the lows and mids are good but the highs are just okay, abit crunchy and muddy but more than adaquate for earbuds. What is not so adaquate however is the built in microphone, a very processed and low quality sound. Only really sufficient for a quick phone call and that's it. I would not subject people to it for long periods on discord for example, certainly not good enough for talking to team mates in game etc. The charging feels good in hand if a bit slippery and the dongle storage inside is a welcome feature. The gamebuds come with 3 different size ear tips and I found the largest was best BUT I always felt they were falling out so I did some digging and was recommended some comply foam eartips for Jabra 65t + 75t and indeed they did fit on the buds and in the case, however foam eartips (at least for me) lead to a drop in bass, resulting in a noticeable dip in audio quality. I then bought some large SpinFit omni eartips (3.7mm nozzle size) which have helped with retaining the bass but even they still feel like they're falling out occassionally, so still not perfect but definitely bearable. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend them to folks looking for some decent souding low latency gaming earbuds.

Awesome sounds
Picked these up after trying a load of cheaper alternatives including in ear monitors. All the others were vastly inferior to these buds. Easy to connect on the series x. Having 2.4 for the Xbox is a blessing. The app is great, with hundreds of eq settings for games built in. The Bluetooth works great for calls but I cannot comment on the music quality as I only use them for gaming. I use BETWEEN ANC buds for music which are magnificent. There are a couple of things to bear in mind. To update the buds you need a pc and if you receive a call when gaming, the gaming audio cuts of while the Bluetooth call takes place. By no means a deal breaker but the option for dual audio would have been nice along with the ability to update through the app. I can't recommend these high enough.

Gamebuds are the worst earbud I’ve used so far.
I purchased the Gamebuds as a one-and-done system to use while travelling for work to cut down on the bulk associated with transporting my steelseries Arctis Nova 7 headphones around with me (an absolutely fantastic headset that is a stark contrast to the Gamebuds). Considering these Gamebuds were born from a partnership between Jabra and steelseries, they are not as impressive as the slew of reviews and paid marketing suggests. I’ve owned a pair of Jabra Elite 85t earbuds for well over 4 years now and they’ve been an outstanding earbud. In particular, the ability scan your inner ear to create a completely custom sound profile is gives you a great sound experience. Not to mention the extremely comfortable oval-shaped earbud tips that conform well to the shape of most ear canals, and mine. The Steelseries Gamebuds don’t seem to have inherited any of the Jabra design philosophy. The sound quality absolutely pales in comparison to the Elite 85t. The built in microphone is the WORST I have EVER experienced from an earbud. I get regular complaints about a muffled/gravel-like voice from colleagues in online meetings and friends while gaming and taking phone calls. These problems persist across Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz wireless, regardless of audio settings in the Steelseries sonar app (PC) and mobile app. In short, these earbuds are a far cry from the Jabra buds I’ve grown to like and are not worth the insane price tag associated with them (which may explain the recent trend of discounts). In addition to all this, the narrow driver port makes the typical rounded silicone tips very uncomfortable for long work/game sessions and music listening. The only redeeming feature is that the 2.4Ghz mode has an extremely low latency that is miles beyond any Bluetooth earbud, comparable to the Steelseries Arctis Nova 7 over-ear headset that I own. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed by the audio quality and muddy surround-sound while gaming. The microphone quality is worse than my badly damaged iPhone 13 on loudspeaker when standing more than 6ft away from the phone in a quiet room - the analogy being that I expected a dedicated gaming earbud placed 8cm from my mouth to perform better than a damaged mobile phone microphone from 6ft away). Unless my earbud’s microphones are damaged (which I honestly hope is the case) then I seriously cannot recommend these earbuds on any level, not even for casual listening.

I was really impressed with these earbuds; they work well overall. *Audio Quality*: The Bluetooth audio quality is great, and I didn’t experience any issues. I watched streams and YouTube videos, including some gaming content, and the audio was impressive—especially with Dolby Atmos. I read an article that claimed SBC could actually outperform AAC in terms of lower latency and better battery life, so I think these buds are better & suited for Android users. *Wireless 2.4 GHz Audio*: At first, the 2.4 GHz wireless connection felt a bit strange, but with Dolby Atmos enabled, the difference was immediately noticeable. I was impressed by how well the earbuds handled ambient sounds, allowing me to hear all the intricate details in the game. I also tried SteelSeries’ 3D audio on my laptop, and it was amazing. I tried to disable Dolby atmos, and enabled the Equalizer on steelseries app. You will notice difference. *Volume Concerns*: Initially, I was worried about the low volume, especially for some games that require higher audio levels. Unfortunately, the 2.4 GHz wireless connection has lower volume than the Bluetooth connection. To fix this, I switched to the “Movie sound mode setting" in Dolby Atmos. You can also customize Dolby Atmos by enabling the “Volume Leveler” and “Surround Virtualizer,” which makes a significant difference. (Note: If you’re using SteelSeries’ app for choosing specific sound equalizer, I recommend leaving the "Dolby Atmos Equalizer" untouched ( for a custom sound ) and just enable "Volume Leveler" for better experience. Also turn off the audio limiter on steelseries application for more volume.) *Noise Cancellation (ANC)*: The ANC isn’t perfect, but it does a good job of reducing background noise in most environments. *Transparency Mode*: The transparency mode is excellent, allowing you to stay aware of your surroundings when needed. Note : there's a little noisy buzzing sound when the transparency mode enabled, I switched off every sound mode to get rid of the issue. *Microphone*: I don’t have much to say about the microphone, but it does the job well enough for calls or in-game communication. *Comfort*: The earbuds are comfortable, but after long gaming sessions, you might start to feel them in your ears. *Battery Life*: The battery can handle about 8-9 hours of gaming without all features enabled. With Bluetooth, I think it lasts closer to 9 hours. I haven’t noticed any major issues because I always take breaks, so the battery life has been more than sufficient for me. One thing that bothered me slightly is that sometimes one of the earbuds shows a slight difference in battery life (around 2-3%) compared to the other, which is a little annoying. *Conclusion*: These earbuds are great for daily use and perfect for those who mainly play single-player campaigns (though they’re still good for multiplayer). I chose these earbuds because I’m not a fan of bulky headsets, and I wanted something I could use anytime, anywhere. Big thanks to SteelSeries for delivering on this.
