I bought this after looking at many different types. I read the reviews on all of them. One of the things I saw about this one was that it leaked a little bit when removed from a bottle that was being filled. The first thing I did when I was starting to clean it to use, I filled it with water and the only drips I saw was coming from water that was on the outside. While using it I didn’t see anything that would made me think that it was coming from the inside. It worked perfectly and I can’t believe how much easier it made my bottling of my home brew. Can’t imagine going back to the way I used to do it before. Easy to clean and easy to use.

I tried a stainless steel filler that was a bigger diameter than the plastic one and although the stainless one was good quality, it left too much head space in the top of the bottles and being spring loaded, it kept slipping off the pontil in the bottom of wine bottles. The plunger on the Fermtech filler shuts off by the pressure of the liquid and it doesn't take much downward pressure to get the flow going. It does leak a little after taking it out of the bottle but after a few taps, it's pretty much clear sailing and on to the next bottle. For the price, it can't be beat even if I have to replace it every year.

Drips a bit when moving from bottle to bottle, but I expected it would, its is only sealed by the weight of wine in filler tube. Else, it is simple to use and fills to the proper level, if you have a quick hand and pull filler when wine reaches the top lip of bottle. Good value for the price and acceptable for an occasional 25-30 bottle wine kit.

Works and feels better than expected for the price. Easy to assemble and use and easy to clean

There is not a spring to assist closing of the rubber filling tip. Required a learning period with a good bit of spilled beer. I will be ordering another tip with an assist spring.

So glad I purchased this to use with my hard cider home brew. Makes filling bottles so much easier!

Works good most of the time however it sometimes sticks and overflows when filling. The adjustable clip is a great feature so you can leave the filler in the bottle without it constantly flowing.

Its better then nothing but still leak

As many complained about before, this mechanism is not spring loaded. But if you attach the Filler to the end of an auto siphon, it does its job perfectly fine. I just bottled two gallons of fresh fermented apple cider into 16 x 0.5l bottles. As soon as you pull the tip up, the pressure in the hose, provided by the auto siphon and gravity, it stops running. If you pull it out of the bottle and hold it upright for a few seconds, it will drip a few drops. But when filling multiple bottles, this should be nothing you should be too concerned about. I really like how slim it is and I doubt that you should have any problems filling any size of regular bottles with this.
