We bought these to go with heating lights in our chicken coop. They work perfectly and are durable and are long enough to hang in different angles. Easy as plugging in and screwing in included hook. We used some additional hanging hardware because of our usage but that wouldn’t be necessary for many uses. I could see them being used in a lot of different ways for decorative purposes too.

Convenient way to add a lighting fixture without hiring an electrician. This socket and cord set is the easiest and the cheapest way to add a light fixture without having to hire an electrician. This socket-cord set will allow you to add any light bulb that uses a standard socket. You can add a traditional socket incandescent light bulb or you can use the newer energy efficient LED bulbs. The set comes with wall hooks for easy attachment to walls and ceilings. I use mine to hold a Swiftrans LED grow light. The set up is used to light a small orange tree in my shaded patio. The patio received indirect sunlight and the citrus tree needed more light in order to bloom. The addition of the 24 watt grow light has been effective. The tree has been blooming. It takes two weeks to see the results. The cord is soft and easy to handle. The small on/off switch at the end is easy to use. This is a good way to add light without the need to hire an electrician to install light sockets. Do keep in mind that this product is not rated for outdoor use. It will be fine under a sheltered patio but do not put it where the on/off switch will get wet. Lastly, do not use this unit for infrared heat lamps. Use a product with a ceramic socket for those infrared heat lamps used in reptile tanks. Highly recommended.

Great product for my indoor growing project

The price is so good, they had to sell a two pack to make the shipping work! It's simple and has everything you need to set it up. Used it for an IKEA lamp, just CUT off the wire to the bulb and spliced the lamp wire in - also wanted a white wire to replace the black. 20 minute job. Done. No complaints from the missus. - What!?

I use the Taotronics LED grow lights for my indoor vegetable plants. The clamp lamp that is recommended to use for these bulbs are not all that great. They take up too much room and limit the distance you can have from your plants as they grow tall. Plus they tend to droop. I scouted around Home Depot and Lowes to try to find a plug in fixture that would work but they did not really have anything. When I saw this on Amazon I knew it would work for me. The hardware to install these are fine but for what I need I have a simple solution. My grow racks are stainless steel wire shelving. I attach the light at the distance I need using a cable tie for the wire shelving. As my plants grow I can simply pull up the light and install new cable ties. I just wish it had not taken me a year to discover these little wonders.
