I was deliberating over which of these devices to purchase. I have a very light sofa, rug and carpet and have been worried about spills and stains so I thought one of these machines would be great to have... especially with a cat. I live in an apartment with little storage, so didn't want something too big and bulky. It concerned me that the wattage of this one was over half that of the helmet looking version, but then I read that it was incredibly noisy, which I'm sure my neighbours wouldn't appreciate! So I decided to give this one a bash...and so far, I'm impressed.I decided to test it out on my dressing table stool, and whilst it does require a bit of elbow grease, and a few goes going over, it really does work, and gets quite addictive, even with your arm aching! I only intended to do the lid but then kept finding more stains and marks over it so ended up doing the whole thing, and now it looks pretty much 'like new'.Happy with my choice and it has a 3 year guarantee.For note I also purchased the larger attachment which is what is seen in the picture. A little annoying that there isn't an additional holder on the device for both. The American version has a holder for 2, us Brits only get the one.Update: As predicted, the cat picked the best place to throw up his morning meal...on the cream rug and foot stool. Thankfully I had this on hand and as you can see from the photos...it's worked a treat!Further update: Have also now cleaned my mattress with this machine and it has come up looking near new again. All those horrid orange marks gone! I continue to be amazed by this machine.Very glad I purchased!

Love this, spraying the gun on the stains and watching them dissolve and run and then disappear is satisfying. I did my entire bedroom using this. Only down fall I have are1) the waste tank doesn't fill very high before it needs emptying, a little below half way (when it needs emptying it stops the suction2) the hose feels a little flimsyNow for the good bits1) stains come up brilliantly, little to no effort and no scrubbing needed2) the water maintains its temperature, I put hot tap water and it came out the spray the same temp as was put into the tank3) the liquid solutions are bigger than expected, I didn't follow the guidance, and I used a lot less fluids than recommended and found it did brilliantly so decided to stick to that amount each time I filled up. I refilled about 8 times and still have fluid left over4) it isn't ridiculously noisy like most machines, probably slightly quieter than a vacuum cleaner5) the carpets aren't left drenched, they are left ever so slightly damp and soon dry after an hour or 2.6) it's so easy to store, brilliantly designed and doesn't take up loads of room.I would really recommend this product to anyone, my carpets where covered in printer ink, foundation, lip gloss, and plenty of other liquids (youngest caught playing with makeup)I did scrub to remove gloss and I seriously didn't ever expect it to come up,and it did.Highly recommended, especially if you have kids, pets or anyone messy, or even old carpets like mine, I never ever realised how dirty it was until I had see the black tank. 🤮

What I needed was a lightweight, portable spot cleaner - what I got was a lightweight portable spot cleaner!If I wanted to clean a whole rug, I wouldn't use this, I have a Rug Doctor for the larger jobs.Being a small machine, the suction as others have said isn't fantastic, but used right it doesn't leave the area soaking wet.The machine works by spraying solution onto the area you want to clean, a small area at a time, and the brushes work to clean the stain and suck up the dirty water.It doesn't heat the water, you just need to fill it with lukewarm tap water, hot water isn't a good idea for stains, even if you are cleaning by hand.The cable is a very good length, and the hose is just the right length, any longer and your machine wouldn't be very portable or easy to store.I mainly purchased this for home use, and also AirBnBs' that I clean, guests have a tendency to spill all sorts and so I needed something that was easy to carry and did a much better job than trying to clean the stains by hand - for this reason it's perfect. I used it today on a drink spill that was a few days old and it did the job admirably. Having said that I also used Prochem spot and stain as the stain i cleaned this morning had dried in.So why only 4 stars?The floor tool is far too small in my opinion. For example, I wouldn't consider using it on my stairs and certainly not on a whole sofa. It would be too much hard work. So I have ordered a 6 inch floor tool, which I hope will make stair cleaning a viable prospect.However, the 6'' floor tool is almost £20 and I feel this should be an accessory that comes with the machine.It comes with instructions that are a little hard to decipher as they are only pictorial, but after 5 minutes of head scratching, the machine was ready to use.I can't yet comment on the longevity of the machine but I will update if it fails me.

Brilliant spot cleaner. So easy to set up and use. A little noisy but that doesn’t matter too much. The cleaners provided are so good and easily removed stains from our sofa. Some stains older than I’d like to admit!!! It was disgusting but also enjoyable to see how much dirt was removed. There is cord storage and also clips to keep the hose tucked away when storing the unit, and overall it’s quite compact. Would definitely recommend!

Bought for cleaning vehicle upholstery. First impressions are good. It is easy to use - clean water and shampoo in one side, dirty water out the other. The machine sprays water onto the fabric, you you then brush this in with the attachment and once agitated tip the end forward to suck the dirt out of the fabric.It’s a bit noisy but not too heavy - even fully filled. It needs a bit of simple assembly for the attachment holders. Power cord is a good length, but the hose can be short if trying to reach the top of car seats when unit on the ground.Overall, the quality is good and it’s effective in its use.One thing to note is that when the fabric you’re washing is damp it looks great, but expect it to look clean but less amazing once dry.

We have a large bissell pet pro carpet cleaner but seems excessive for small spills and stains my wife struggles carrying it up and down the stairs and we have quite a large house with lots of stairs. We bought this hoping to make life easier and it's already a life saver. Cleans up cat sick in seconds afew passes over and its done! Carpets arnt soaking wet, small light and easy to move about plenty of suction. No it's not as powerful as our big machine but that's not what it's for it's perfect for those little spills and stains and so glad we purchased it highly recommended.

I can't fault the performance of the unit as a whole - it seems fairly powerful for something so small. In terms of cleaning it, it's fairly easy - you can remove a cover on the handle to get to caught up hair etc, as well as underneath the removeable waste tank, where again hair gets caught. The waste tank itself isn't easy to clean, though I suppose that's not a big problem.Now the problems - firstly, when you do remove the waste tank, very often it does drip quite a bit, meaning you can easily get mucky water back on the area you just cleaned, though this is fairly easily dealt with if you keep a cloth with you while you work.The bigger problem is the hose itself, which is very likely to break near the handle after an extended period of time, depending on how often you use it. I've had to buy two replacements & each time, after a year or so, it breaks in the same place - additionally, after maybe three years, the pump for dispensing clean water/detergent has also stopped working, so for these reasons I'm not going to continue to repair it and try to find a different more robust carpet cleaner.

So to start with things I don't like about this unit, the instructions that come with it are utterly useless and I was unable to find a proper manual on the web site. However, after talking to their very efficient customer service team, they emailed me a pdf manual which is very good. Maybe I just missed it on the web site, but I don't think so. The brush attachment doesn't click firmly on to the hose, although in use, it doesn't fall off, so doesn't cause an issue. Finally on the negatives, the marks on the tank for filling are cryptic. The markings 'formula + 29.5ml boost', bearing in mind the boost bottle cap is in fluid oz, are unhelpful to say the least. For 'small areas' the markings don't even include boost. So to make this easy for anyone reading this, always use the large area side as you will quickly use the small area quantity. Fill to the water line with hot water, add 29.5ml = 1 fluid oz of boost and then top up to the line with formula (spot clean or whatever).Now on to the good bits. This is a tough bit of kit and feels very solid. The water and waste tanks clip in firmly. For best results, spray some cleaner on the area to clean and leave it for 5 mins. You need the power switch on to do this and then squeeze the trigger. (Ignore the instructions which are wrong). When you are ready to vacuum, spray a bit more on, then press down hard with the brush, scrub the stain and watch the dirty liquid being sucked out of the carpet. Suction on this machine is very good indeed. If you press firmly, the carpet will be virtually dry when you have finished. Watch the nozzle to see when water stops being sucked out.So far, I have removed a rust stain and water mark from a carpet and made my car mats look like new again. I'm going to do my stairs soon, but this will definitely be hard work as the unit is better on small areas. Overall, very good though and recommended. The unit comes with a small spot and stain 'formula' bottle and a larger bottle of boost, which isn't clear in the description.

I've done sofas and carpet. It's more for small jobs, I wouldnt do a whole house full of carpet. I did do my stairs but youll need to refill and empty a few times. It's ok if you only do it once in a blue moon. Great for cars!
