This V bridle 3" width by 36" length tow strap with forged links and hooks along with a double layered strap that's heavy duty stitched is one quality piece of tow equipment at a great value of the price. Stated working load limit/dynamic load on the pear link is 9,000lbs with each J- hook being 5,400lbs. The breaking limit is stated at 16,200lbs. With the birdle V strap, it gives a equal distribution of weight for the tow vehicle. it helps with the front frame not to bend from one side being pulled only. The birdle doesn't cut the weight in half by having two attachment points rather it's equalized when being pulled. It's safer to pull, it's more of a constant pull being solid overall and without any type of kinetic energy built up when it's pulled That can be a good or bad thing depending on the setup and situation at hand. I feel the working load of the hooks are much more but having the pear link being of a working load of 9,000, there is much more factors of a dynamic load then of a static load. The one thing I would criticize is the length overall. With internal loads at hand and having a attached angle with the hooks it can also create a problem, by having to much of an angle at each point it's attached to the vehicle in tow, that results in higher dynamic loads being increased and if the vehicle is not capable or if the equipment fails due to higher work loads then expected is resulting in safety issues, operation issues and or if it will even be completed. The long the straps, the lower the angle it can have. I'm not going to go into a huge lesson about angle and increased loads but simply put, the angle should be less than 40degrees between the two hooks. For my application it's great and perfectly enough for its dynamic load. The J hooks are forged along with all the other links, pear link and the t-j hooks as well. This is a great tow strap for an amazing price, just make sure it is the right one for you!
