We purchased both this version and the plastic version. Go with the glass! This does exactly what it is supposed to and looks very nice if that matters to you. Here are the two main differences between the versions. First, the fork....with the glass version it clips under the lid so there is no extra piece to hold it in. With the plastic version there is a clear part that covers where it sits. That just makes another thing to wash and it doesn't stay in place well. Second, the clips on the plastic version are less sturdy than the glass version. The plastic is more brittle and therefore more prone to break. We had three and are down to one. This all took place in less than two years. Yes, the glass is heavier, but the quality is overall much better. With almost daily use, I'd definitely go with the glass.

We use these Bentgo glass salad containers every day in our household to take lunches to work, and they’ve been excellent. They’re durable, hold up well with regular use, and keep food fresh and in great shape until lunchtime. The compartments are practical for salads and other meals, and the glass feels sturdy without being overly heavy. Cleanup is easy, and they’ve held up nicely through repeated washing. Overall, a dependable lunch container that makes meal prep simple and convenient. Highly recommend!

I do not want to write a bad review as I feel the Bentgo product is great! I love my glass salad bowls and I used them four times a week. I am very careful with washing and snapping the lids onto the bowls but two of my lids have broke. It seems if you do not line them up correctly, they snap. Super sad about that and struggling to find replacement lids. Any help you could lend would be great. I depend on these for my healthy lunches and will need to find new options if I cannot find the lids.

I love this bowl/dish. It holds a lot in a smallish space. Everything is very sturdy and the utensil is usable as well. I love it for meal prep. The value is considerable. This is my second purchase as I plan to use it for my boyfriend.

Bowls are good. Lid closures are bad/poorly designed. I have purchased two of these in the last two years. The bowls and individual inside components are great. Work well/easy to clean, etc. The lids are another story. There are tiny tabs that snap the lid edges into the grooves on the outside of the salad bowl. After a while these wear down/break off so that the lid will no longer latch. The directions specify to not use lid in dishwasher and we never have. The lids have never seen harsh treatment/bumping, etc. The salad gets put in it, it gets put in a large capacity lunch bag where it is not jostled and is driven to office where it is unpacked and used. They either need to make the lids of a more durable material or come up with a redesign because now I have 2 of these bowls with all the components, but with 2 unusable lids.

This is a great salad container, my only gripe is the tabs the cover uses to secure itself to the glass bottom. On one of my containers the tabs broke off. I reached out to Bentgo, and their customer service got back to me right away. They stand behind their product, and have sent me out a replacement. Super happy with my Bentgo purchases. I’d look into getting more of their products if they were available in Canada
