The best nano tank filter I've ever used
Very high quality and extremely powerful. Its motor is as powerful as some full size 20 gallon filters ive seen. Due to this the yellow coarse filter foam it comes with that wraps around the intake tube on the propeller side is needed to baffle the water and keep it flowing evenly, the foam does its job perfectly and maintains even flow through the filter from minimum to maximum flow. With its included foam and bio media alone this filter out preforms any other nano filter I have used and when adjusted to the maximum flow setting it has the highest output on a filter its size I have ever seen. It is excellent value for its price and it is also whisper quiet. It only has a few very easy to assemble pieces. It will be my go to nano filter from now on. It cleared an alge bloom from my tank in a single day

Nice little filter.
I have many tanks of various sizes. But I recently added my first nano tank. It's a 6 gallon. While it worked just fine, the filter that comes with it was a charcoal filter pack, and I didn't want to spend hundreds on replacement filters, so I wanted a biological hang on back, and I gave this one a shot. First let me just say that this little guy is just cute as a button. I wasn't expecting the size. But don't be fooled. It is the perfect size for a nano. One review mentioned that it didn't fit the rim of their tank. It did physically hang on my rim, but it didn't seem real secure, so I trimmed away some of it so the filter would have more hook on. They gave it a 1 star for this shortcoming. I think that's a bit harsh. It'll work perfectly on a rimless though. Another review criticized the volume. I'm not sure what their issue was, but I found it to be as quiet as any other filter I have. I did noticed that if you don't seat the inlet tube just right on top of the impeller motor, it will gurgle. But seated, it is very quiet in my opinion. Overall, I'd give it a 4.5 due to the small rim size requirement , but since you can't give half stars, I rounded down to 4. Reliability is yet to be determined, but it functions quite well. It actually did a surprisingly good job at removing fine particulates. So far, I am very happy.

Surprisingly good performance
Actually surprised by this item. I picked it up after searching for new release items; I've never heard of the company before (not that it matters a lot with these brands). This filter is similar in design and operation to several other filters I have, but I think this one is the best for the money right now. The filter comes with pre-filter sponge, internal sponge media (the yellow sponge) and ceramic bio-media. The intake tube comes in a few pieces and has to be assembled. I believe this would pose no issue to a person with normal visual acuity and manual dexterity. The skimmer simply sits on part of the intake tube and operates by buoyancy. A rubbery circular standoff is included that you can use to adjust the angle that the filter rests against the glass. This is important for the skimmer feature, which operates better when the tank and filter are level. I'm using this filter on a rimless tank and it doesn't look like it would fit on one with a traditional plastic rim. The filter pump is very strong and it can be turned up to a high flow rate compared with competing products. However, I use this filter for a nano aquarium so the flow is always turned way down. When the water flow is turned very low, the water drips pleasantly and evenly to the surface without making a noisy splash. This aspect of design should not be ignored because this is something that bothers me about many filters. It's hard to give a name to this feature but I would say the Wonderfactory is currently my king of "anti-splashiness." I had no issues adjusting the filter through the full range of operation. Like other HOB filters it may gurgle when getting started unless you assist the pump by pouring some water into the filter. In operation, with flow set low for a 5 gallon Betta tank, this filter is basically silent. The body of the filter feels like it is vibrating less than the previous similar one if I rest my hand on it. As of right now, my skimmer is not operating, though it operated all yesterday and through the night on the first day. I think it's not working because some water has evaporated and the skimmer wants a pretty high water level relative to the tank. Be aware that this feature is a bit sketchy, even though it's clearly an addon, and a welcome one, at this price. I really like that the lid of the filter fits snugly into the body instead of just sitting on top. This eliminates yet another area where microscopic water particles seem to escape and cause unsightly buildup. Looking at it now, it just seems like a less dusty and better solution that I hope is copied by competitors. The filter is physically smaller than several of its recent competitors. The filter does not appear to be UL or ETL certified. When I first powered on the filter, I noticed that the motor got hotter quicker than the motors of similar filters. The motor stays a bit warmer through operation. It's not alarming, but I think it may lead to a shorter lifetime for the product (who expects things like this to last more than 2 or 3 years anyway?) Overall highly pleased and wouldn't usually write a review for an item like this, but Wonderfactory deserves recognition and praise for doing some things right. That being said, I will probably swap this out again soon for a filter with a UL or ETL certified motor!

Noisy and quit working after a few months
Worked for a few months then just completely stopped drawing enough water to cycle through the filter. Even when it was functioning properly, it didn’t filter as well as it needed to. For a very small tank (only 2-3 gallons) it shouldn’t be that hard to filter effectively. It’s also VERY noisy.

Easy Setup, Disappointing Water Clarity
I recently purchased this sponge filter for my 5.5-gallon betta tank, seeking a simple and effective filtration solution. The setup was indeed very easy and straightforward, which I appreciated. However, my initial satisfaction quickly turned to disappointment due to the significant cloudiness it introduced to my tank water. Despite taking the precaution of soaking the air stone separately for a full three hours before installing the filter, my tank water became cloudy immediately. It has now been three days, and the cloudiness persists. This is concerning as clear water is essential for the health and well-being of my betta, and it also makes it difficult to observe him properly. While the simplicity of this sponge filter is appealing, its immediate and ongoing impact on water clarity is a significant drawback. I'm left questioning the filter's suitability for maintaining a visually clean and healthy environment for my betta.

Great addition for the biomedia to the tank.
Great buy. It's a work horse in the tank. Use it fir the biomedia filtering to keep the good bateria. The surface skimmer is ok when but having a hard time keeping it afloat.

It’s loud
Had it for a day and I already found it annoying. I got it for my room and it makes so much noise kinda sound like an air pump. It’s pretty loud. If you don’t mide the noise or have it where you can’t hear it, it’s a good filter but I wouldn’t get another one

Great filter.
This filter is a little workhorse. Its been running over a year with no issues. I use it on a 2.5 gallon tank. Great for a shrimp or really low stock tank.

Stopped working for no reason
After setting it up, it ran for a few hours and then just stopped working. No visible damages but still won’t turn on.
