After returning a different brand that clearly had commitment issues, I gave this adapter a try and this one actually shows up and does its job. Plugged it in, paired it once and now my CarPlay connects automatically every time. No drama, no fiddling, no daily re-introductions like we’ve never met before. If you’re tired of wires (and unreliable gadgets), this one’s a keeper.

Update: pretty much doesn’t work every time I drive now. Would not recommend Works half the time. Freezes quite often. I think it would function better in a colder environment because it seems to get extremely hot easily. Pretty cheap so it was worth trying. I will probably go back to my old setup.

Works most of the time. Little laggy when getting in and the scree is pixelated during the lag but clears up. Overheats in the Florida sun if left in the car and won’t work until it cools down. Has some issues with calls where it’ll bounce between my truck and the car play if the truck is turned off or on after the call has already started. Other wise it works as intended and I would recommend it. Used in a 22 F250.

Off to a great start; almost flawless installation on 2 units, which required a couple extra steps not specifically mentioned in the instructions but once activated was fine. Unless something negative pops up during use, it will be one of those products I wish I needed a bunch of! In case anyone is wondering how to keep the phone charged during extended journeys, I simply plug the cable previously used for wired CarPlay into a spare USB charging port (not the one used to connect to the head unit) while leaving the adapter plugged into the head unit port.

This thing is awesome. By the time I get to my car, my music is already playing.

This did not work for my Mercedes Benz C300. The Apple CarPlay did display on the screen but the music wouldn’t play consistently, it would play for a few seconds the stop for about 5 minutes then play for a few seconds & stop again. However, this did work with no issues in my friend’s Camery.

10 stars! This product is the definition of easy installation. Kept the WIFI and Bluetooth open of my phone and plugged in the device and it's through.

After using it for less than a month, its temperature started to rise abnormally, and a burning smell began to emanate from the product. Therefore, I stopped using it out of concern for the car. In addition, it needs to be disconnected and reconnected several times and waited for it to respond. Unfortunately, I couldn't return it, and using it is dangerous.

This item didn’t work, and international shipping was required for refund… absolute waste of money!
