I’ve been using this smart power strip for a while now and honestly have nothing negative to say about it. Setup was quick and straightforward through the Tapo app, and it connected to my network without any issues. Once configured, everything worked exactly as expected. The app is easy to use, responsive, and makes it simple to control the sockets remotely or set schedules and timers. One of my favourite features is the ability to control individual sockets rather than the entire strip at once. It gives much more flexibility when managing different devices, and the energy monitoring feature is a useful bonus for keeping an eye on power usage. Build quality feels solid and well-made, and the sockets are spaced well enough that larger plugs don’t cause any problems. The integration with voice assistants has also been reliable, making it easy to control devices hands-free when needed. Most importantly, it’s been completely dependable. I’ve experienced no connection issues, random disconnects, or app-related problems since installing it. Overall, this is one of those products that simply works. If you’re looking for a smart power strip with reliable app control, useful automation features, and solid build quality, I’d highly recommend it.

I wont biys another plug again. Easy to setup. Work with Amazon Alexa and can be set as routines. Worked well for my xmas lights now I have these everywhere. Its a good sturdy desing. Fits perfect behind sofa or under cabinets. Silent and only hear when it clicks to switch on and off. This is an extension on suppliments and ensure safety with its surge capabilities. Remotely controlled via app and alexa. No more worrying if these have not been switched off as can do it from phone anywhere.

Excellent purchase. Allows me to see in real time the energy I am using for each device. The plug extension was ready straight out of the box. Just connected to the socket, opened the app, selected the product and was connected within a minute giving me controller over all 4 of the expansion sockets. Wuck and painless. The app is very easy to navigate and you can name the extension so you know exactly what your turning off and on. Can schedule timer and make sure all your equipment is off when you go to bed. Handy also if your out the house and need to make it look as though the place is occupied. With this extension it already paid for itself as im saving money now daily on my electricity as I had allot of stand by power draw from the tv cabinet. Overall very happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyway who is trying to save money on their energy bills or to see how much energy your actually consume in Real time.

Easy to setup, individual socket control and energy monitoring, works in Apple Home but individual power values are not reflected correctly in Apple Home yet (apple's fault). Haven't used the first party app so can't comment on that, but that's a good thing, works perfectly with third parties (especially Home Assistant) so have never needed to use the proprietary app, even for first time setup. WiFi in my room isn't great but have had no connectivity issues and the sockets switch fast. Barely more expensive than 4 of IKEA's Grillplats and is all on one device which is nice, uses WiFi instead of Thread though which could be a pro or a con depending on your other devices. There is a physical toggle button and indicator light per socket which is bright enough without being distracting. Uses Matter over WiFi so no cloud dependency, so it can be firewalled for security and still works fine. If your smart home platform has remote access (Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa etc) it can still be controlled away from home. Device exposes all of the following per socket via matter (platform support varies): switch toggle, current power, total energy (seems to persist when turned off), power-on behaviour, effective current, effective voltage, and an identify button. Schedules & timers, maximum power shut-off and energy bill estimates require first-party app, but all of those can be created easily as automations via third party platform eg. Apple Home or Home Assistant. Voice control requires a smart home platform with voice control eg. Google/Apple Home, Alexa etc The only improvements I could think of would be Thread instead of WiFi, and maybe a 6 socket version.

I am so happy that I discovered this smart Zero-Crossing Detection power socket / plug. I'm hoping this will prevent failures from relay contacts arcing when turning on and off capacitive loads such as speakers etc, it should do. Zero-crossing switching is a technique in which the relay contacts close or open exactly when the voltage sine wave passes through 0V. The voltage across the load then rises gradually from zero instead of appearing at full value in a single step so there should be no conditions for drawing an arc. The benefits are well documented in industrial automation: contacts protected from inrush currents, no arc at disconnection, lower EMC emissions, and a higher permissible load power compared to standard relays / smart sockets. I've had a number of other smart sockets fail due to turning speakers on and off a few times a day due to the capacitive load of even small desktop speakers (monitors) on them them - quickly removing any energy saving cost or eco benefits as you need to replace them. On these other smart sockets you can sometimes even see a spark! In theory this should be more reliable and safer for these capacitive loads and high consumption devices. Zero-Crossing Detection should be the standard for all smart power sockets. This is a true hidden gem of a feature. Great value for money too for the feature set and for the amount of individually controlled sockets you get. I set it up via the app which works great - very smooth unlike many these days. I was then easily able to add it to Home Assistant (via Wi-Fi) by a native integration where it works perfectly locally or via the Internet remotely if you would like. You can add power limits, timers, monitor power consumption, voltage, power factor etc all per a socket. It has a number of features built in to detect when a device is nearing the end of it's charge - allowing you to turn it off when it's nearly full to help protect device batteries etc. I'd have much preferred ZigBee support but I understand this might not be possible. If this lasts - it'll probably be the only smart plugs I buy from now. I will update this review if I have any issues in the future.

This is a fantastic multi-plug. I’ve tried quite a few alternatives, and this unit is by far the simplest and easiest to install and manage. It works seamlessly both through the Tapo app and with a Home Assistant server, making setup and control very straightforward. While there are other units available with more sockets or built-in USB ports, I’ve found they often don’t integrate as smoothly or reliably as the P304M. This one gives you complete control without any unnecessary hassle. I like it so much that I now have six units around my home. I’ve even shortened the extension cords and fitted new plugs to make them more compact, turning them into neat, dedicated smart multi-plugs. It’s also a great alternative to using lots of individual Wi-Fi plugs, which can sometimes be a bit temperamental. Overall, an excellent purchase—reliable, easy to use, and perfect for smart home setups.

I recommend tapo products to anyone who loves smart living. Very reliable products, easy setup and can control plugs, cameras, ect with one single app with a very nice, simple and easy interface. Highly recommend.

Like all the Tapo stuff I have experience of using, it does what it's supposed to do. Easy to configure, works fine.

Love this you can program each outlet individuqlly. I use it all the time. Its amazing. Great if you have family that forget to turn things off or if you have lights you want on a timer.
