Can you take this product without taking the entire capsule? For example breaking it and mixing it with water.

It's a capsule, not a tablet. I guess u can split it but it might taste gross. 500 mg is their proprietary blend, caffeine listed as their 1st ingredient. Way too much! Higger than all pre workouts.

will it burn muscle? I don't want to lose muscle mass

I was able to maintain muscle well with it. For me, that's really saying something. The yohimbine inhibits the A receptor (Fat storing receptor) allowing your B receptor (Fat burning receptor) to remain active. This is great for women because for every 9 fat storing receptors, there is only 1 fat burning receptor. it is nine times harder for women to burn fat than men, because they naturally have a better fat burning to fat storing ratio. So, can you imaging how great of a product this is for men? I will always use this, but not more than 8 weeks at a time. Also, you may want to keep that engine hot, by keeping your protein levels at around 100 grams to support your muscle mass vs. fat mass. Excess protein, or unused protein can damage the kidneys over time if not used for energy. Hope this helps. :-) Happy fitness !
