This pet nail grinder is absolutely fantastic! It’s so much gentler than clippers and my dogs are far less nervous with it. I've a 12 yr old dog who loathes having his paws faffed with let alone nails cut - unfortunately had an incident at the vets when they cut his nail too far and it bled so future attempts always ended up stressful. I'd bought a nail grinder few years ago but was noisy and my dog wouldn't entertain the idea of it going near him. So I was dubious about purchasing another grinder but thought I'd give it another try. After a bit of research I decided to opt for the Iredoon one mainly for the quietness and the 18month warranty - being a reasonable price was also a bonus as I wasn't feeling confident my dog would like it. Arrived next day, promptly put it on charge and I was soon introducing it to my dog. The first speed setting is quietest and vibration is minimal didn't startle my dog at all. However, once I started to use it on a nail did my dog then disliked it. I persisted and within few minutes my dog was a lot calmer and willing. I was so pleased that finally I'm able to trim my dogs nails which doesn't stress him out too much. I'm confident that as I use it for short frequent periods he will get used to it and will become even easier. The unit seems pretty robust, easy to hold and use. The various ports enables me to get the correct angle I need for each nail. The LED lights are bright and I didn't use them whilst trimming as felt it was just something else that may annoy my dog but it's a feature I think may be useful especially for light coloured nails - my dog has hard, black ones and not sure if I'd be able to see the quick. I find the unit is gentle and effective - I only wish I'd bought it years ago and introduced it to my dog when he was a puppy but so chuffed that finally found a way of trimming my dogs nails which doesn't stress him out into a frenzy.

This is a good claw trimmer It is several times better than the one I bought it to replace It is very quiet compared to my old one and does the job much more quickly, with less distress to my dogs (although they still don't like having their claws trimmed!) Bonus is the digital readout so you know when it needs charging and don't have to stop the job halfway through which causes the dogs even more distress. The only downside is the attachment that is supposed to catch the dust, really it is just a gimmick, it makes the whole operation more difficult, and doesn't really work all that well. However it is detachable so you can just decide not to use it. I would recommend to anyone considering the purchase of a dog nail trimmer PS I have two medium size (15Kg) dogs - one has quite brittle but easily filed white claws, the other has very tough black claws where you can't see the blood vessels. - so I can only say that this is suitable for them. Bigger dogs might be more of a problem?

Very impressed, all nails were grinded within an hour. My dog who has very low tolerance levels with anything to do with grooming eventually laid on her back and let me carry on. The pre charge it came with lasted for the hour, put back on charge and was fully charged within the hour. Very quiet even on high speed. Only downside (which I was very disappointed with), the lights didn’t really do much apart from brighten the area around the nails when grinding. The description says …….{One and Only 4 LED Lights】: With 4 LED lights on top, you could detect your puppy's blood vessels clearly which can avoid hurting your baby}. They were not strong enough to highlight and blood vessels within the nails so I just had to be careful.

I've got a big akita cross, and he hates hates hates his feet being done. I have to recommend this product, 100% it's quiet and got a strong spin speed that made the nails being cut quick. Few treat to keep him settled I've managed to do all of him in about 10 mins if that. Normally this would be about an hour of him pulling his feet back, getting up and running around. He hardly noticed the because when you get the grinder on the right angle it's really smooth. Brilliant cheap, does the job.

What a great way to trim my dogs nails. It’s pretty quiet. Grinds well. The dogs aren’t that bothered by it at all. Much better than clippers. I’ve not had it long, only a few days so can’t comment on durability. But hoping it will last. So useful. I have a spaniel and flat coat retriever, so suitable for both these dogs. Happy doggos.

This grinder does a good job of getting my dog’s nails down, although I wouldn’t describe it as “super quiet” as advertised. My dog doesn’t particularly like the noise or vibration, so it takes persistence and patience. I’ve found that doing a little bit each day works much better than trying to do everything at once. My dog has black nails, so unfortunately even with the LED lights, I still can’t see the end of the quick/vein, meaning I have to be very careful. So far, though, this has been the best alternative I’ve found to traditional nail clippers and regular trips to the groomer. It takes some getting used to, but overall it works well.

Compared to other electrical nail grinders we've tested this is by far the most effective one. Have not even dared to use 3rd speed yet... Strong, good battery performance and overall easy to use. Have The led-light is a plus but not a must. Highly recommended.

I have a pet rabbit who is quite skittish. I used to have to take her to the vet for nail trims. The vet wrote on her chart "VERY JUMPY" and charged me for a "Two-Person Nail Trim". Sigh. After several vet visits for nail trims, I decided to muster up the courage to do it myself. Her dark nails and fluffy fur make it difficult to see the quick. Rabbit nails are thicker than cat nails - closer to dog nails. She HATED the clippers. After one nail, she would typically become super jumpy (even though I had her wrapped like a burrito) and then the rest of the nails wouldn't get trimmed as well because I was afraid of cutting down too far. I owned a nail grinder about 15 years ago for my pet cats that were not fans of nail clippers. They were even less of a fan of the grinder because it was LOUD. I was concerned that this nail grinder would also be loud but decided to give it a try anyway. THE. BEST. NAIL. TRIM. EVER!! Yes, there is a sound, particularly when the nail is in contact with the grinder, but it wasn't super loud. Grinding her nails down did take considerably longer than with clippers, but she tolerated it 100% better. I got both front paws down without a fuss. She protested the back paws simply on the basis that she absolutely hates being touched there, but I enlisted the help of my daughter to hold her up while I did her back paws. She cooperated fully in this position. It was unbelievable how much better behaved she was! I was able to get EVERY nail trimmed down the appropriate length - much shorter than I was ever able to safely trim with the clippers. Even though slower, the nail grinder was tolerated so much better that I will never use clippers on her again. This nail grinder has four LED lights that can be turned on. I absolutely turned these on and they did help me see what I was doing a little better. They aren't very bright, but it helped improve the lighting and get rid of some shadows. I used the grinder on the 2nd speed to make the process go a bit faster. The battery went from 94% to 82% during the nail trim. The faster speeds probably drain the battery faster, but that's still good battery life for how long the trim took. Subsequent trims shouldn't take as long because I can just keep them short now. My only concern is where will I get replacement grinder heads. The grinder head is metal and should last a long time, but I know eventually I'll need a new head.

Dopo 12 anni passati a tagliare le unghie del mio cane con le classiche tronchesine, finalmente ho trovato questo accessorio. Devo dire che mi ha davvero sorpreso: il mio cane si è lasciato sistemare le unghie tranquillamente, senza agitarsi ed è rimasto sereno per tutto il tempo. È molto più delicato rispetto alle tronchesine e permette di accorciare le unghie gradualmente e con maggiore controllo. Avrei voluto scoprirlo molti anni fa! Per la mia esperienza lo consiglio davvero a tutti i proprietari di cani. Un acquisto che rifarei senza pensarci due volte. 🐾❤️Aaron❤️
